The song popped up on Pandora. And yes, it is the tune from Hot Shots, but of course tons of versions have been recorded of the song. I'm not even sure if La Centra's version is the original. It is was the first time I heard this particular recording, and I was quite impressed. Also, according to the internets, Golino sang the song herself in Hot Shots, but I don't know if that's true. Either you need to update Directx (which comes with the game so that's probably not the problem), or you need a new graphics card.

If you don't want to spend money then that seems to be a good card. Just don't forget to get an AGP card. Also, the CPU almost never is the bottleneck.

I don't find socializing particularly time consuming. It's only a problem If you want a lot f variety in your love life. But, then again, I usually ago for the introvert kind. Juggling multiple serious relations is fun, though.

I never played the original, so I'm not schooled in the differences between the two. I can say I wasn't bored, though.
