  1. My card is a Radeon 9800 256 MB.... I didnt have any of these problems playing the regular NWN2, so I dont understand why I have them with MOTB.... Perhaps an error during installation? Or maybe the CD I got is just messed up.
  2. Just got the game, my copy of MOTB is completely ****ed up.... Ive had this strange pixellation thing going on with the characters and placeables: http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/3545/nw...07184231gq0.jpg (notice the wolf - it gets really bad in cities and indoors where pretty much everything looks like that) Not only that, I just got to the second area, and it seems that some graphics are missing, since I see bright red blocks instead of what should be bridges: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/7226/nw...07091121rd9.jpg Not only that, the game crashes at startup three out of four times, and occassionally, when I load the game, all I see is a black screen with some spell effects.
  3. The only game I want to see from Obsidian right now is Icewind Dale 3... I just hope they can recreate the magic of the original IWD.
  4. In the last page, no one believed me when I correctly predicted that this would be a console game.
  5. Actually it makes a lot of sense. If you think of the sort of environments, weapons, gameplay etc that a CIA game would involve, it is the sort of thing that is best suited for consoles. It is also likely that it will have real time combat (or a system similar to KOTOR) and either 1st or 3rd person perspective.
  6. CIA? Sounds like more console stuff to me.
  7. I found it as an archive on a file sharing program. I dont have any information on the tracks except the numbers. What really puzzles me are the three tracks that i cant seem to locate on the official soundtracks, but are definitely in the Icewind Dale style, as well as the three altered tracks. Something gives me the feeling that this might have been an authentic but very rare release, not a fake compilation.
  8. I have the normal Icewind Dale 2 soundtrack, which has all the tracks from Icewind Dale 2 plus the Heart of Winter soundtrack as well, with a total of 40 tracks. However, I found a strange version of the sountrack on the internet, which has 42 tracks in total. It starts with most of the Icewind Dale 2 tracks, then plays about half of the HOW tracks, and then has 21 pieces from the original Icewind Dale 1 soundtrack. Now, the 51 track version of the original Icewind Dale sountrack contains all the tracks from the original game. However, this version of the IWD2 soundtrack has several IWD1 pieces that I cant find in the original IWD1 soundtrack. These tracks I cant find are 21, 39 and 42. Since I extracted all the files from the IWD1 music folder in order to make sure that the soundtrack contained all the tracks, Im pretty sure these werent in the original game. Another odd thing about this version of the sountrack is that both Kuldahar tracks have slightly extended beginnings, and there is a track similar to Kresselacks Tomb but with different instruments. Does anyone know anything about an alternative version of the IWD2 soundtrack?
  9. I havent played many new first person games. Perhaps others can tell us about how Mass Effects facial expressions compare to other modern games. Off the top of my head, Im sure Fallout 2s talking heads showed much more emotion. I too like that he doesnt say exactly what you choose..... It will be interesting to choose options and then see what Shepard comes up with.
  10. This could be a good game, but the facial expressions are really badly done, and the voiceacting is mediocre and lacks emotion. The game is clearly lacking in extremism, and whatever extremism there is lacks any emotional impact due to the bad voiceacting and facial expressions, thus killing the whole experience. Overall, the basic premise of the game (being extreme) is good but it seems that Bioware has screwed up big time in its implementation.
  11. FINE. The Phillipines. Sheesh. At the time the Philippines was an American colony.
  12. Now that's a different thing entirely. You don't actually see in full colour until you've seen Africa. The people are tremendously vibrant, and the food and fruit (bushmeat notwithstanding) are bursting with flavour. It's a true adventure. You should consider yourself unfortunate if you DON'T go. Interesting... Anywhere in particular that you recommend? All this stuff about Ebola, Marburg and Elephantitis is really scary though.
  13. Africa is a place I wish I never have the misfortune of visiting.
  14. Role Player, why dont you just download it via torrents?
  15. As a reaction, religious scholars in Pakistan have bestowed the title of "Sword of Allah" on Osama Bin Laden! http://abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/06/22/...?section=justin LOL, these guys are hilarious!
  16. Who the hell do the retards at Bethesda think they are going to fool by editing polls?
  17. I dont get the delay... it looked like the game was already finished.
  18. Sounds like **** to me. * Falllouts retro future look has been replaced with a generic photorealism. * Super Mutants look like Uruk-Hai(or something from Hellgate London) and wield warhammers, jumpsuits have been replaced with normal clothes * Fallouts creative death sequences have been replaced with exploding body parts in matrix style slow motion * FPS combat as predicted with a mana system that has been labelled as "action points" * Instead of simulating a hunger/thirst cycle, food/water will function like healing potions * BOS on the east coast? Hand held nuclear cannons? Cars with nuclear reactors in them that no one had the common sense to salvage? Sounds like the setting is being completely raped. * Sewer/underground systems filled with super mutants AKA lots of dungeons That isnt what it says. Basically the combat will be real time just like any FPS, except you have action points (AKA mana) which you can use for special attacks like called shots once theyve been recharged. Even if your points have been used up combat will proceed as normal (AKA FPS style)
  19. Theres an Icewind Dale tutu in the works, but that is taking years. I believe there is also an ongoing project to convert Icewind Dale to BG2. If you dont want to wait, there is also a mod called Neverending Journey that I believe ports the entire Icewind Dale campaign into BG2.
  20. I believe Baldurdash has been superceded by a newer, more complete fixpack.
  21. Im looking forward to this Jefferson remake! BTW, Watchers Keep sucked. The multicoloured dungeons reminded me of Disneyland, and the ability to exit right away from anywhere was absolutely lame and killed any challenge the dungeon might have posed. The demogorgon was unbelievably easy (cast breach and hack away) too. I remember the original Icewind Dale, trekking back to Kuldahar from deep within Kresselacks tomb or Dragons Eye eager to sell of tons of loot earned from tough battles. Those were great experiences that modern games dont recreate.
  22. I scored as Njord with Odin and Skadi tied at second place.
  23. Ive been messing with Regedit and having a look at all the stuff in my registry. I have a few questions about what I have found.... Under hkey classes root, I found lots of entries beginning with "aol". I assume that it is related to that piece of ****ware. I also found lots starting with "photoshop". I havent got either of these programs, so, is it safe for me to delete all these entries? Under software in hkey current user, I found an entry for securom - I tried to delete it, but couldnt.
  24. Hmmm... sounds like Im gonna stick to Opera.
  25. Ive got multiple versions of these two programs downloaded into my pc... I was wondering, should I just uninstall them? I dont think I am currently using any programs that require them anyway.
