  1. Well of course, you can't play something with abysmal graphics like Planescape Torment and other games he listed. I tried but just couldn't. Your brain is just too accustomed to higher standards. His ranking list is pretty silly and irrelevant in that regard.
  2. They already said keybinding will be patched in. The only thing I would change is switch the function of SHIFT with ALT.
  3. Nicely put, just like in my case. Btw, it's pretty silly to put old games ahead of DS3 because their graphics are so poor you can't bring yourself to play them. Not very realistic ranking. And most of them you listed ahead don't have combat nearly as good and engaging as DS3.

  5. Indeed, very enjoyable and fun game, can't wait for more, DLC or expansion...hopefully they will include crafting system along with synergies for a greater character build variety, Like Blizzard did for Diablo 2 with a patch. Best melee combat mechanic ever.
  6. The whole thing about camera would be a non issue if most of the terrain was not a narrow corridor. It is really weird that Obsidian, the makers of brilliant Fallout: New Vegas would choose the corridor approach to terrain design.

I'm playing Lucas on hardcore now and it is more enjoyable than ever, every single click, motion and ability usage is even more important than before and if you are skillful enough you can still win engagements without losing a significant amount of health, if any. It's all up to you. It feels really good, this is like discovering a whole new ARPG sub-genre.
  10. Didn't Diablo 2 at first have much simpler character skills and builds and only much later there was a big patch that introduced synergies into it?

  12. No, Lucas benefits greatly from Willpower and Agility more than any other character, Attack is the least relevant for him. Willpower being the most important for Lucas: -blade dash/wind shear for crowds, heroic charge-->auto-crit for single enemies -agility is not as important because both(blade dash and heroic charge) abilities you can spec to have criticals Read the abilities/talents descriptions again, he even converts willpower to attack as passive.
  13. Will there be patched in a statistic/tooltip that shows the mitigation of damage(and type of damage because I'm pretty sure that some damage goes through regardless) from armor value. This is really something that should have been there in the first place. A simple number in percentage format of the damage mitigation would be best. Btw, Lucas' other armors look really good, you can't see them in the demo because they are tier based as you might have concluded from the same basic names. Keep this topic alive(on the first page) until someone from Obsidian answers it..

  17. Wow, I just figured out that if you don't accept money for quests you get attribute bonus, nice touch there.
  18. If it's only 12 hours it's definitely too short, but one might take that as a positive because surely a bad game can't be too short.
  19. I don't know, highest difficulties always seemed too unrealistic and grindy for me. What does hardcore actually entail, enemies having much greater health and resilience or just that you receive more damage?
  20. Seriously? I'm level 10 now on normal with Lucas and haven't died once, defeated spider, that boss in Hero's Crypt, Gunderic and not even got close to dieing due to all the dodging, blocking, looking for boss attacks, and switching to appropriate weapons when more enemies appear. You just have to play carefully and remember that too much random panicky clicking hurts you.
