  1. Does anyone know if such attacks stack? For example, if you have a weapon that deals fire damage and you get its activation 2 times in a row do you then get double damage or does the first activated damage have to expire before second is activated?
  2. Yes, a whole lot better than KOTOR I, just like Fallout New Vegas is a whole lot better than Fallout 3 in every way you can think of.
  3. The combat with Lucas is really amazing looking, best in all action RPG. You open up with blade dash charge, then roll behind ranged attackers and slice them in the back, change stance and quickly kill any stragglers, using shield pummel to stun the mob leader or mini boss and later you use wind shear to slow all enemies and use heroic charge to dash from one to the other, especially later where you have pretty much enemies which are mini-bosses instead of common mobs. Has there ever been an action RPG where there is actual flanking of your enemy?
  4. Nonsense. Hardcore is casual except for boss fights. If anything all difficulties should be increased so that hardcore is really hardcore and normal is not casual.
  5. I'm gonna take a break from the game until this is released so I can use empowered abilities effectively. It's really strange that someone didn't notice that SHIFT is the worst key to choose for this, instead of ALT or F.
  6. Yeah, in one of my first topics I complained why aren't the items your character can't use reddened not noticing giant blatant obvious portraits on each item for each character. Such is the way of brain and habits...
  7. LOL, What? I killed some bosses(like Maru Yatum) by just using wind shear(with maxed wounding gale) and endless wrath, wind shear has the longest reach, area effect efficacy and deals horrible damage if you specced your character right. Not to mention that with heroic charge you can reach anything and escape anything. L2P. All on hardcore of course, I can't play this game on anything less than hardcore.
  8. Ice has slowing effect, nothing else for any other statistic is described. What effects would fire and lightning have to warrant their usage over poison which has higher damage, same chance, over longer time?
  9. Lightning has small chance with moderate damage over 2 seconds, so no. There must be something we are missing here.
  10. If you are not left handed the only thing that's relevant here is that you will be able to switch SHIFT function with ALT or F, right now you can't really use empowered abilities because of this. Everything else works perfectly fine as it is.
  11. So, poison is the only statistic that gives heavy damage over 9 seconds with moderate chance, everything else has moderate or low damage with moderate or low chance with 6 seconds or less. Am I missing something here, why would you then ever use fire or lightning or bloodletting or anything else instead of poison? Is there some fire or lightning property/effect that is not in the description?
  12. WTF? All this people buying the game for 30-40 euros, am I the only dumbass who bought it for 50 euros?
  13. Also it would be nice if each armor tier would be relevant to the endgame, this would be accomplished by having more unique(orange) armors, especially in lower tiers. For example, tier 2 armor looks much better than tier 3, and even some tier 1 armor looks better than some tier 2 armor.
  14. I just realized after some shop experimenting that there are a lot of different looking armors/components than I thought. You have 3 tiers of armor, and each tier can look completely different based on which statistic has the highest value, for example block armor looks completely different than attack armor or stamina armor looks completely different than will armor, and that is for each armor within each tier! Although I'm not sure if every statistic(like warding) has such visual change. Wow, so basically Dungeon Siege 3 has more varied looking armor than Dragon Age, and people were complaining about it, including me! P.S. Obsidian, armor damage mitigation statistic(percentage format) is still needed...
  15. I think I know now what the "problem" is with armor, if you have low armor you will receive huge damage from common enemies, but if you have high armor and low stamina you will be extremely vulnerable to many attacks from bosses because their attacks won't be mitigated by armor to make any difference.
  16. Can't wait for this, PC controls are perfect except for one thing, SHIFT for empowered abilities, it is the worst possible key to use them effectively, it is in fact near impossible to use them now. If they only had put ALT or F for empowered abilities.
  17. Are you talking about hardcore difficulty, if not your comment is false. At the end even an ordinary enemy on hardcore takes 500 health from you. I'm still waiting for the proper armor damage mitigation statistic to be implemented via patch. This was mentioned in a lot of topics by other people but still no word from any Obsidian developer here.
  18. Why are you focusing on the counting of time instead of the content, I was not talking about the time but the content. I spent at least 16 hours(backtracking between quests and shop randomizing) in a single playthrough. But in that time you have only 4 distinct areas with a couple of surrounding caves and corridors. It simply doesn't feel like an epic journey like previous Dungeon Siege's and other RPGs do, this is just a really good episode.
  19. I don't know what you are talking about, shield pummel rarely works on min-bosses and never works on bosses.
  20. Has anyone tried to have the highest stagger and warding on all weapons and armor, how would that be viable on hardcore, would you stun everything practically all the time, how high would the values have to be?
  21. Well I said practically zero...anyways in comparison to other arpg's yeah the replay just isn't there for me. I could see myself playing once more through...maybe. Perhaps replayability would be greater if there was more exploring involved, if not all the terrain was corridor-like. Some people even complained about the ultra-efficient quest system(press R), similar to how people very angrily complained about the yellow highlighting in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, things like that eliminate exploration.
  22. I forgot to ask, how the hell did you manage that? It costs 50 euros on steam!
  23. John Carmack in recent E3 interview talked about the consoles and their future, I think he said they are 10 times inferior to a high-end PC. Although he made some silly point that people still don't know how to squeeze everything out of them despite that we have been having unnecessarily poor texture for years due to multiplatforming, and not to mention that all the physics from ancient Half Life 2 completely vanished, we have less and less physics with each game because in order for console game to look even approximately good(with poor textures of course) you have to toss out all the scope and physics and destructibility.
