  1. Says you Maybe not a "direct" sequal, like BG to BG2.... but definately something set in the d20 Star Wars universe. There needs to be MORE SW RPGs
  2. Or better yet, the ability to play and beat the game as anything and not "just" as a jedi or a multiclass jedi... unless the story is about that.
  3. KoTOR is using the D20 rules but it is using "its" version of them. And it is stated quite clearly that 0 = unconcious, if all 3 characters = 0 then the party is dead and game over.
  4. I guess you didn't read the prompts A character dropped to 0 was unconcious, not dead.
  5. On 1) I half agree, I don't think we should "have" to talk to everyone... unless all the important people stand still. If even one of them walks you may "never" find them. On 2) I mostly agree, the light/dark thing should have been more vague and not always so cut and dried. On 3) to a small extent it did, since some NPCs wandered from planet to planet and knew you, and some things did carry over. But not enough by a long shot. Given that each "area" is a different planet, I find that this is more forgivable since it's not likely that a lot of change would occur given the distances involved. On 4) Again, given that this takes place on multiple planets across a galaxy.... it makes more sense for things to be "completed" than if all the action occured on a single world. On 5) agree wholeheartedly. On 6) Haven't beaten it yet, but i agree with the context On 7) didn't read it in case of spoilers On Disagree, I see this as one of KoTOR's strengths and it greatly added to the immersion.
  6. Oh! Oh! About difficulty! Last night I found two things! One, it has a combat difficulty slider, and there's a mod that increases enemy threat potential so it scales like your character. Don't have the link offhand though.
  7. Have to disagree with you. Dark Lady of the Sith just doesn't have the same ring to it.
  8. I want more storyline options. Being able to become the master of the Sith Academy would have been golden.
  9. Hopefully it'll be close to KoTOR. There's only so much upgrading one can do before you have to buy a new computer.... and I already made that mistake with SWG. <_<
  10. Sorry I base this on my own personal enjoyment. On the Bartle scale I'm more an Explorer/Socializer than anything else. Fallout 2 (greatly) appealed to the explorer in me. KoTOR really appeals to the socializer in me. I love the character interactions and NPC interactions and the fact "everyone" has something to "say" Mix that with the fact that KoTOR has my new all time favorite character (HK-47! :D) and I just can't seem to help myself Of course, in the end it'll depend on replayability... At the least I can play KoTOR one more time (Darkside)... Compare that to the fact I played Fallout 2 probably 10 times and still can't get bored... I dunno The opinion might change back.
  11. That's true and a good point. So far from my own personal experience (which is what I base all of my opinions on) the only flaws I have found are(and of course this is only my opinion)... Easy gameplay. (I wish this game had a difficulty setting) Lack of variety Too many "useless or unused" traits. again, I'm still playing threw the first time and have only tried Scout/Consular so there could easily other flaws I haven't come across yet. <oops> that reply was to Drakron
  12. my aren't we insulting as I have aluded to, I am "still" playing Kotor, as in for the first time. So I haven't had a chance to completely evaluate it.
  13. Well seeing as KoTOR is quickly dethroning Fallout 2 as my all time favorite game... I guess I'm a bit biased. I really hope their project is KoTOR 2. All these "faults" that some people think it has (my only complaint is that it's proving to be too easy to play) can be fixed in the sequal.
  14. So what? Deus Ex is a role playing game, you play the role of JC Denton, just like you play the nameless one in PS:T or jedi doofis in KotOR. Or how you play a plumber in Super Mario Brothers or a Hyperkinetic Smiley in Pac Man. I mean you're playing a role... right... Dues Ex is a first person shooter. Period.
  15. The lines are bluring though. Dues Ex is considered by some an "rpg"... not a good sign in my opinion.
  16. Cut scenes are a good thing. Especially in an RPG.. that's what KoTOR was, and RPG not a FPS
  17. Midichloriadians get the worst idea of all time award
  18. Ravenloft gets my vote There needs to be more Horror games made
  19. I am not a wrinkly green muppet therefore I don't talk that way
