How did KotOR fail?
ah but are they closed minded for their views... or are you closed minded for not respecting them? Interaction is give and take

How did KotOR fail?
Did you actually "talk" to the sandpeople in KotOR or did you just slaughter them for XP? If you communicate with them, you find out WHY they are constantly raiding. And that reason is survival... and because their lands were invaded, they are no more evil than a bear in the woods.

What games do the developers play?
Nice try, but you miss. You know what I meant.

How did KotOR fail?
Not really, both in the game and the movies I got the impression the Sandpeople were in a state of war against the non sandpeople. That hardly makes them evil.. Also, Baby-Vader killed the women and children too... if they are considered non-combatants, that's clearly murder and therefore evil.

Cleaning?
When they moved they couldn't restore from a current backup, so they restored from a backup from a week or so ago.

How did KotOR fail?
I wouldn't think so. Do evil and become evil and all that. I think a lot of the reason there's a focus on forceusers doing evil is because you can see the results on them for being evil and using the force (example: Palpatine in the films)... but overall the act itself what determines if it's evil, not the "tool" used to do it, be it blaster or a forcechoke. <edit: In affect I'm agreeing with you... just in case there is doubt > <second edit: "see the results" as in the degeneration... must learn to complete my thoughts and clarify>

What games do the developers play?
*waves hand* This isn't the game you're looking for... move along... B)

Agreed on both counts. Given that BI/Interplay aren't really gaming options for the PC user anymore... ANY company providing ANY game will be valued at this point

I'll be happy no matter what it is... well so long as it's an RPG.

Was Bastila really the main character?
Is this somehow a problem? B)

Was Bastila really the main character?
Yeah, I guess I can see where you're coming from. It's kind of a lack of control thing, you're more reacting to what's thrown at you, rather than driving down the path.
-
Was Bastila really the main character?
oh! ok I understand Yeah, I could see that. It definately adds to it's non-linearity factor.

Was Bastila really the main character?
So would you say you would prefer a more Final fantasy-ish style.. where the party is the focus storywise? (trying to get an example)
-
Was Bastila really the main character?
I keep seeing people state this.... but I'm not convinced. She was important to the story, yes. She had a pivitol role, yes. But was she really the "main" character in KotOR? Did she outshine the main character played by the player? While it's true the story went around her in part... didn't it really revolve around Revan... since it seems EVERYTHING in KotOR was somehow influenced by Revan in his/her first two forms (you being the third) "If" she was... how did it really affect the story negatively or your gaming experience... and more importantly would a similar "gimmick" used in KotOR 2 damage it's fun factor?
