  1. Bzzzt... and Shadowpaladin drops the ball once more... To "make your own" you have to... well... make your own. What they have is a watered down version of the d20 ruleset... that's hardly making your own rules.
  2. doubtful, if there were any sites, Lucasarts and Wizards of the Coast would likely go after them like a shark. I heard that someone posted a SW to Rifts conversion on the Rifts main boards and Lucasarts sued them for it (sued the Paladium company) LA is VERY touchy when it comes to "canonal" things. <_<
  3. As far as the force is concerned, yups. Which isn't relavant, as KotOR "is" based on the d20 version.
  4. You're reading too much into my reply. I was replying to your question about the "Skywalker" bloodline ability. "Their" ability is having Force Sensitivity without having to take the feat. *looks in book* Oh, and they can choose force feats (control, sense and alter) without being "Force level 1".
  5. ugh.... and I was going to purchase that too.
  6. Simply picking a character archtype and then naming it would be "character creation"(i.e. Final Fantasy 1), lots of options doesn't give you anything other than... more options. I think as a whole, most gamers have become jaded to the idea of having a vast number of options in creating characters. Choosing your stats (like in PS:T) IS character generation, it might not be as diverse and with as many options as you or I may like, but you are defining your character's abilities within the game.
  7. *eyes start to hemorage from the sheer amount of text used in this dialogue between you two* *returns you to your regularly schedualed program*
  8. Which makes the most sense
  9. I think their ability is having the Force Sensitive feat, without having to take the force sensitive feat.
  10. Persactly. Until it's officially confirmed I doubt they "can" change it, even if everyone and their left toe proclaim it is in fact KotOR 2.
  11. Iolo, I see what you're saying. What I'm saying is everything made must be ok'd by Lucasarts... that includes the system. While they don't have a direct hand in it, they can ok or veto any part of it, and I also believe can make suggestions. Heck they even had a "liason" working with the Sony devs on SWG.
  12. Thats the distant future. I'm talking about the pre cog abilities that Anakin has which the Jedi learn as part of their traing which makes them appear to move and react faster. Umm... precognition is the ability to divine the future... it does not let you move faster... I think you're getting your force powers confused
  13. No, he means lucasarts. All third party games need their ok on all aspect of the game (example Star Wars Galaxies)
  14. I guess with some imagination it could be considered a spoiler..... ok... I'm reaching...
  15. That Is Not The Point! The "ruleset" needs to mirror the source material.
  16. Bzzzzt Wrong again You're not scoring very well in this game ShadowPaladin anakin was an innately powerful force sensitive, which is why they picked him up on tatooine. He is atypical. Also, when you learn a skill, do you master it on day one? No, clearly not. Thus it can be assumed this is the same for jedi as well, especially seeing as they got from Padawan -> Jedi -> Jedi Knight -> Jedi Master Who were the uberjedi in the movies? Yoda Palpaltine SL Jacksons character Obiwan was on par with Jango fett in Ep 2, and was about equal to that maul charcter (who was an apprentice) in Ep1 Vader Obiwan in Ep 4 These are the masters, the ones who are at the high end. Not all jedi would be at this powerlevel. It doesn't even make logical sense that they would be.
  17. That's not the point, this is BASED on the original source material, otherwise what's the point? Fact: Jedi aren't as "Uber" as people make them out to be. Any games made should reflect the source material.... otherwise just make your own setting. No spin for J00!
  18. The thing is, PS:T WAS a good game, great game in fact, so why wouldn't someone want a similar game to it (a good game) rather than a stinker in the form of something new and untested?
  19. /singsong voice on SomeOne Didn'T watCH AttacK of the Clones! /singsong voice off Yeah.. lethal... Jango Fett took out a Jedi with a blaster shot at close range Now that's lethal B)
  20. I really hope you're able to do this in a game some day Dynamic playing would be awesome Not to mention I think it would make a player a bit more careful in what they do, rather than grind-kill everything that moves.
  21. Well why "couldn't" they make a game that allowed people to play as non-jedi as well as jedi?
  22. I think you're missing his point neriana.
  23. WoW looks to be the next big MMO Sorry... couldn't resist
