  1. And therefore the community would just flourish elsewhere. Thanks for proving my point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I haven't proved your point in any way, shape or form. You're under the assumption that the "community" will stick together. That is most likely not the case.
  2. Come now. Shutting down these boards isn't going to destroy the community, and you know that. They wouldn't be the first developer boards closed. People will just go elsewhere. Drama is the word here, people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Obviously you don't understand how this "community" thing works. If this place is closed down people will go elsewhere, and most likely stay there even if they reopened this one. The only ones who will return are the ones who just want to bitch. I've seen it before...
  3. Because those are corporate forums after all. They might not be held responsible for what is posted here, but still, it affects their image. I don't like it, but I understand it. All good things... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's an excellent point. And what image DOES it project when they create a fanbase/community and then destroy it?
  4. Throwing a fanbase out is a great way to lose a fanbase though.
  5. The fact they even suggested it isn't a good sign
  6. I don't see why they "need" a community manager. A simple FAQ would keep people informed, and let them know what's what. I think it's a proven fact that having a forum is a good way to keep people interested in your company/games. Look at Troika... no forum.. and they went belly up...
  7. What a nifty concept
  8. In my opinion, the best kind of RPG would be one that... ...was nonlinear. ...had a detailed skill based system that was based on your actions. ...had multiple endings, that weren't just good/bad/and whatever. ...had a detailed plot that wasn't just your "save the universe from Mr. Evilguy". ...allowed for multiple playing styles, and moral points of view. ...showed the affects of your actions within the game as you played and not just the ending.
  9. Oh Well if it's a good natured joke that's ok then
  10. It's Kitty Cthulu I thought you had abandoned us
  11. Wow some of those are really neat
  12. Morgan Freeman got one? :D Awesome :D
  13. Bastila.
  14. Ack I forgot KotOR... definately a top ten.
  15. Mine tends to fluctuate. 1) Resident Evil REmake (GC) 2) Alpha Centauri (PC) 3) Fallout 2 (PC) 4) Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PSX) 5) Resident Evil 4 (GC) 6) Starcraft + Broodwar (PC) 7) Baldur's Gate (PC) Eternal Darkness (GC) 9) Resident Evil Outbreak (PSX) 10) Silent Hill (PSX)
  16. What did you like about it?
  17. yes I didn't indicate god or satan. I simply left it at entity <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Except for the fact that Satan isn't omniptent. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How would you really know? Do you two hang out? "
  18. What a cool couple of episodes Jin actually seems interesting now, and I wonder why Hurley was on tv? Alias was good... but it's sad that I'm starting to like the sister.... and not just that I think I like her better than Sydney...
  19. I think this all comes in phases. This just happens to be the begining of a first person one for RPGs.. it's not like it's the first time. Bard's Tale. Might and Magic. Etc.
  20. Those aren't really "classes" so much as skill sets and skill priorities though. Morrowind is a skill based system.
  21. I was curious, too, so I looked it up. Check it out, very mature. Y'know, I was willing to pretend that the Black Isle references in Arcanum were coincidential. This... yeah. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's just sad... <_< What little respect I had for Troika is quickly diminishing.
  22. Without the EU, Star Wars would be a dead, but greatly loved, property.
