Well, it moseso fits how I do my own writing. When I create characters for a sotry I write up their complete background, list skills and talents each one can use, the set up a scenerio which they act and react to. I basically role play the character and how much "influence" that character has to the other characters within the story framework will often shape the story. Sort of free form writing which I do and sounds very similar to the Influence system that Chris described, but chennelled in a different way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know, if you create your PC with the same dedication you create your characters for your writing you'll probably have a blast playing the game. Rule compatibility and all aside. It is immensely more enjoyable to have the character thought out in your head or paper and then play a game rather than just jumping in. I used to write pages and pages of background story for my PC in Baldurs Gate and kept my own journal in BG2. The game was greatly enhanced from my perspective as a result. I know you will enjoy the game Hades!

Probably not, they might not like you but they each have their own agendas they want to see accomplished in which your PC probably plays some part.

Hmm...it seems like the NPCs from K1 have had a hard time in the universe. Maybe the Sith have been hunting everyone associated with Revan and torturing them for information. I sense a very sinister plot brewing and I like it. I must hold till February.

I bet you try to hit spacebar too. No wait....Ninja Gaiden is XBOX only! I want to play Ninja Gaiden so bad! I remember first beating Ninja Gaiden 1,2,3 on the NES. I was like, "Wow! This is like a movie! Look at those cool graphics!" Who remembers Jump and Slash from NG 1? Sigh...will I fall to the BOXside? There seem to be too many good games that pass me by.

Just wondering what everyone is playing until Kotor 2 comes out Currently my HD has Kotor 1...need I say more? Neverwinter Nights w/ Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark (I got it a few weeks ago and still am playing. They had in in Korea but I didn't want Western Fantasy characters speaking in Korean. It just sounds weird) Jedi Academy...I just can't get enough of lightsaber duels Starcraft...The staple of any Korean male. I play games with my friends on B-net. Prince of Persia 2 Warrior Within Demo. This game rocks! Romance of the Three Kingdoms 9. Conquering China in the 3rd century with the fabled warriors of ancient China is always great. Games I'll probably get eventually, Half Life 2, Prince of Persia 2, Kotor 2

I wouldn't mind more info about the characters. Some people thought the official Kotor1 page gave too much information but all that information just made me want to play the game more! I did think that Revan would have some part to play from the way the information was given but I never dreamed Revan would be so close. Feed me MORE! Little Shop of Horrors?

I don't really mind any problems that transitions from one type of game to another might create. I just laugh at my stupidity and enjoy the game. I love games, all types of games!

Yes, I also ran into this problem awhile back. I was playing Prince of Persia Warrior Within Demo like mad. I was rolling around and back flipping and jumping off enemies onto walls then used the walls to shoot myself straight through an enemy. Then I started playing Kotor and kept trying to roll around and jump. The opposite applies too. When I was playing the BG/Kotor/IWD for a long time then started playing Real Time Strategies and action games, I kept instinctively pressing spacebar to pause the game whenever I ran into enemies. I died a lot until I got used to the various controls again.

My PC's name will be Yong, jedi guardian/weapon master Means Dragon in Korean. I really want to try a hand to hand master jedi/consular/jedi master Name will be Hwa Gwon. Means "Harmonious Fist" in Korean. Yes I'm Korean

Maybe he'll have great conversations with your PC akin to Dak'kon from Torment. You'll have to earn his trust and slowly coax it out of him, helping him attain some sort of peace. Awesome.
