  1. I tend to rate Vegas by their cardrooms. Some of my favorites... Binions. Home to the original Horseshoe Casino and the original World Series of Poker. They got their Poker Wall of Fame. LEGEND. The Mirage. Used to be THE Destination. More sentimental than anything else now. My first legal age poker cardroom. Cache Creek doesn't count when I can get in with no problems after midterms from Davis. The Bellagio. The gold standard. Maybe when I win Powerball, I'll sit down at their super exclusive hi-stakes games. RIO. Home of the WSOP. Too hyped for my tastes but lots of good touristy fish.
  2. Wait, Gamersgate was a social justice issue? I thought it was about ethics in video game journalism? Surely one can't equate a sex scandal in the U.S.A. with wealth distribution in developing countries, or autocratic rule marginalizing those without a voice, or worldwide access to affordable health care and medicines, and the damage to our ecosystem caused by the rich, and the legacies of colonialism? You know, the REAL social justice issues?
  3. A sandbox Pro-Wrestling game where you can venture outside the ring and arena --into the outside world and do some real public mayhem. Carjack my way up to a tank and face off against some superheroes.
  4. The Food Network is now garbage. They're like MTV and VH-1 once they stopped playing music videos. Where the cooking shows at?
  5. Many of us would like a KotOR 3 from Obsidian but it's not likely to happen. EA has the exclusive video game rights to the Star Wars franchise from LucasArts/Lucasfilm/Disney and if another Star Wars RPG were to come out, it's mostly likely going to be in done by EA's in-house RPG studio --BioWare. It's not like Obsidian hasn't tried. They've publicly lobbied for the opportunity and have made several pitches over the years but it looks like it's just not in the cards.
  6. RIP
  7. Happy New Year! Has PoE2 been announced yet?
  8. Well played, Dinosaur. Well played. Free throws.

  10. The XCOM Long War mod 1.0 was just released. http://www.longwarstudios.com/xcomlongwareuew.htm
  11. Project Chihuahua is going to be all bark and no bite.
  12. I actually prefer the sweats and a ski mask look from last season.
  13. Obsidian names their projects after US states like how Black Isle named theirs after dead Presidents. I think you're looking into something when nothing's there.
  14. Pretty much just the next XCOM and PoE: TWMp2.
  15. Seems like a good premise.
  16. I'd really like to see a historical based isometric crpg that Sawyer's been trying to champion. Darklands was a really rich setting what with the witches, demons, and praying for the divine intervention of saints. Along the same lines, a Roman Britannia based game like Nethergate would work. Legionnaires, Druids, magic potions, and Roman gods all in play.
  17. I'd join the Iluminati.
  18. Didn't cover the spread. 89-83 Warriors. It was rugged --Cleveland did a great job at turning it into a mud fight. Delly doing his best kangaroo impression with all his hopping on top of Iggy and Dray. Green should be All-NBA this year.
  19. Chucker isn't an official basketball position. Plus it'd be a misnomer to call Kobe a "Shooting" Guard. So closest fit is probably forward. ... Cavs - Dubs about to start. It's not Warriors - Spurs but I'll take it! Golden State is the 7 point favorite. Tough call but I don't think the Warriors are going to cover.
  20. Gah. Unnacceptable. My picks: West Curry Westbrook Durant Kawhi Draymond East Lowry Butler LeBron PG-13 Drummond
  21. Contractors are expensive...especially contractors who do not have the legal authorization to request subpoenas or search warrants, and make arrests. I'm sure Uncle Sam would like to catch as many of these crooks and I.R.S agents and Postal Inspectors and the various Assistant U.S. Attorneys are working to nab as many of these fraudsters as they can...but I'd bet as is the case for most things government, it's got to do with budget and resources. They may create specific task forces to divert some resources by way of agents, inspectors, analysts, and prosecutors to specifically target health care fraud, but as in most fraudulent crimes...such cases take months and even years to jacket, investigate, and prosecute.
  22. Sounds to me like we should expand the Federal law enforcement and Treasury Dept. budget so we can hire more Secret Service agents, IRS agents, Postal Inspectors, U.S. Attorneys, and fund better equipment and the like to catch these crooks!
  23. Bruce why are you getting so worked up over Hillary Clinton, and obsessive over our acceptance of her anyway? Is it only because she's a woman and you put them up on a pedestal? You don't need to trip --she'll win the general election anyway.
  24. I've also been rewatching the first season of Alias. That was a good show as well.
  25. Serenity now.
