So recently the unaired pilot of Global Frequency, the TV show based on Warren Ellis' comic of the same name was leaked onto bittorrent. Just wondering what people's thoughts were on it who saw it. I just finished watching it and was impressed. Its a shame that WB passed on it, but hopefully the positive buzz its getting on the net from people who have seen it now will give it the attention it deserves from execs and it will get picked up for production. If you haven't seen it and want to, I found it on torrentspy.
Well, my name originated from a name list I got in my Birthright campaign setting boxed set. I thought the name was cool, and started using it.
3 years later I realized the name was on the "Female" part of the list. But no one had said anything in 3 years so I just stuck with it.
As for my avatar... Devastator baby. Not necessarily the best transformer, or even my favorite, but for pure cool factor nothing beats Devastator.
The best Star Wars spoof is Obi-Wan buying a car.

"I like the color... my last car was a little on the Dark Side"
"It needs to hold myself, my apprentice, two droids, and no questions asked"
"Your bakery products are weak old man"
Planescape was a campaign setting on its own, which I would count as a gameworld.
But anyway, I'd like to see a Dragonlance game. What was the last one we had? Dark Queen of Krynn back in 92?
The Don Murphy boards had a bit of a scare the other day. A couple of sites and a tv entertainment news show both reported that George Clooney had been cast as Optimus Prime. This was later debunked by Don Murphy. The #1 request of the fanbase is that Peter Cullen play Prime, and Frank Welker play Megatron.
But the grammatical mistakes and inventing new words is what got him elected. He seems like just an average joe who you could bump into at the local pub. The less educated prefer someone who isn't their intellectual superior, that got him a huge chunk of votes. I figure Bush got his votes from 4 groups. The rich, the stupid, the religious right, and the people who just plain thought Kerry/Gore was worse. Yes, there are people who seriously thought they were worse that don't fit in with the stupid group.
Modern Democracy is a popularity contest. Gore/Kerry were the nerds, Bush was the jock. The nerds are mentally more capable of leading, but while the jocks usually aren't as smart as the nerds, they tend be better at telling people what they want to hear.
