I've been told I look like the human version of Shrek, only with a beard.

Dangit... just found out the 'Nucks might be losing Naslund... God damn Vancouver management firing Burke...

Hollow Man. Sequels should only be made if the first one left it open for one, or the conversation goes "I have an idea for a sequel to...." rather than "I have an idea, lets make a sequel to..." Yeah, he's the lead. Its sposed to be set in Japan.

She was in the Ultimate line preview/promotional issue back before any of the series were released. She was like a hardcore Merc or something. I haven't read it, I just saw one pic. She was dressed all commando, hair tied back in a ponytail, wearing a flak jacket and carrying guns and such. And had the skull thingy on her forehead.

Well the inverse point order achieved that. If you were the last place team the year before, you got the first draft pick, and if you were the first place team, you got the last pick, etc. I think they're going random this year since there was no season last year. And a lot of teams went through some major reconstruction in the meantime. Such as the Rangers. They dumped all their high priced has-beens, since they had the highest payroll in the league, yet didn't even make the playoffs like 2-3 years in a row, and went with a young low cost team with potential. I believe several teams did that too. Off topic: Heres hoping Luongo manages to either get some help this season or get traded to a different team. Its a shame arguably the best goaltender in the league is stuck on Florida.

He wasn't blue in the original comics either. The blue fur was a failed experiment to reverse his mutation. Though I like how they handled the blue fur in Ultimate. How they use that drug to save his life that turns his hair blue, instead of the experimentation that makes him grow fur doing it. I like the idea that he would have had black fur if it hadn't been for the drug.

Death is hot. Too bad you can only see her when you die.

That horrible conservative biased fox sports! I go to TSN personally. Anyway, I'm happy. I missed out on my national pasttime last season. And the CBC missed out on 60% of its viewership :D I hear they changed the draft format too. Instead of inverse point order from last season, they're going with a random order for draft picks. Heres hoping the Canucks nab Sidney Crosby.

Currently reading The Losers vol 1. Its pretty decent so far, but I'm not very far. I should have it done by tonight.

I'm apparently a mastermind.

Yeah, I just posted about that in the other TF thread because I couldn't find this one.

Disregarding the taste ones, I got 9/18. But the one about which sentence has an error wasn't a very good question either, as two of them had errors. At least by Canadian english. We say the small OF the air, not the smell IN the air.

They lied not to piss off the fans. If they told the truth that noone really gets the point of Transformers and dont really care as long as it draws cash and reignites the toy franchise, there wouldnt be any hoards of TransFans lining up outside the theatre to catch the premiere and create much needed buzz. It sounds to me like theyre using the old standard kids movie recipe with the whole "boy and robot" thing. Like how they always **** adaptions up by forcing in classic holywood concepts that doesnt belong but that the producers think will "make it accessible to the general public" <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don Murphy seems to be the only person involved who cares at all what the fans think of the movie. He's been trying to go over our posts on his boards and try to come up with the top 5 things that fans want in the movie and push for those, but he has a lot of people against him. So far the top 5 seems to be: 1: Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and possibly Ironhide if he's added 2: Frank Welker as Megatron, Soundwave, Rumble, and Ravage. 3: Replace Arcee with either Ironhide or Prowl. 4: Focus on the Transformers not the humans. 5: Show battles on Cybertron with throwaway cameo shots of unincluded characters at least once in the film. He's pretty much told us that #4 we probably won't get, as they'd have to completely redo the story but the focus is something like 55/45 Human/TF, so its not too bad and he's pushing for the rest. Tom DeSanto is pushing for celebrity voices for all the TFs whether they make sense or not because he obviously doesn't realize exactly how big the TF fanbase really is. The Dreamwave TF comic issue #1 was the fastest selling issue of all time. It sold out in a matter of hours.

Well, a couple updates on the TF movie. The writers gave an interview about it, confirming several characters such as the obvious Megatron and Optimus, Soundwave, Starscream, Bumblebee, and Jazz, but they also confirmed that Shockwave will be in the movie, as well as Arcee, despite fan protests to her useless ass being in the movie. They also said it was hard to write for because nothing came before and trying to write a movie based on a toy line is hard when it comes to character work. This baffled me because of the 3 seasons of G1 cartoon, Armada, RiD, Energon, etc., several comic series, and a movie came before. Which they then go on to say they're fans of. They also said that the movie will be about a boy and his car. Anyone who has actually seen the various shows knows that putting too much focus on the human characters is an absolute disaster, yet these hacks seem to believe that putting the focus on the Transformers characters would kill the movie. A couple days after this interview hit, Don Murphy announced that they left the TF project unfinished to go work on Mission Impossible 3. So they need to find new writers. I see this as a good thing, as now we can get rid of Arcee, and make Bumblebee a goddamn Bug, as the writers were the only ones who didn't want to make him a Bug. Even Volkswagen was interested.

This one was pretty good. But not as good as: -
I want this one: 1.3 megapixel camera, 256 MB MP3 player, and can play widescreen mobile games.
-
I hate how Sony-Ericsson has the coolest and prettiest phones, but can't use any 3rd party accessories.

Jerusalem isn't even the holiest city for Muslims, Mecca is. Jerusalem is 2nd I believe.

Your impressions on Killer 7?

I saw some screenshots a while back when someone posted them on the Superhero Hype games forum, everyone there was going off on how awesome it looked, and I was the lone dissenter ranting about how they've released like maybe two games so far that actually looked good cel-shaded. I was then flamed. Cel-shaded characters do not look good on standard 3d backgrounds. The backgrounds either have to be hand drawn/painted, or cel-shaded themselves, otherwise it looks terrible. But 99% of developers seem to ignore that fact. Also, the blocked out cel-shaded look that most games use isn't very appealing either. IMO the best use of cel-shading is for blending 2d and 3d for animations that would be much easier and faster to do in 3d, and any noticeable visual difference is negligible. Cel-shaded stuff shouldn't look cel-shaded, it should look like hand drawn animation. Good cel-shading: http://cine.elcorreodigital.com/datos/foto...ntis-disney.jpg Bad cel-shading: http://www.fileshack.com/finclude/images/killer7_pic05.jpg -
Obviously you haven't seen the film. Either that or you don't like Batman. Batman Begins is a reference to A)Them restarting the franchise, and B)Its an origin movie. And I thought this was only the 6th Batman movie... I guess if you count the animated ones it pumps the number up.

Marvel's Ultimate line was Marvel thinking "Ok... we have a whole bunch of great properties... with 60 years worth of continuity. This discourages new readers, lets start a separate line and restart all the flagship lines in modern day." So they started Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men, and The Ultimates, which is the Ultimate version of Avengers. They updated the origins to make more sense, such as Spider-Man being created by being bitten by a Oz(Green Goblin serum) test spider, Green Goblin being created after Norman Osborn sees the effect the spider had on Peter and testing the serum undiluted on himself. Doctor Octopus was created in that test after GG goes nuts and blows up the lab. The Ultimates are a government superhuman team assembled to battle the recent surge in superpowered criminals and alien threats, they are under the command of Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. Hulk was a result of Bruce Banner attempting to recreate the super soldier serum that created Captain America. Ultimate X-Men is my favorite of the bunch. Its a tad darker and more overtly political than the standard X-men titles. Colossus isn't really gay, I just think that idea got picked up from one issue where he gets all upset because he didn't get to try out the fastball special, I think crushing Proteus with a car makes up for that though. Cyclops is a way more interesting character than he was in the old continuity too. I don't think I've seen Banshee in it yet.

Kitty and Iceman got together in Ultimate X-Men after Rogue took off with Gambit.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to the 3rd spinoff, maybe then we'll see Colossus in action for more than 2 minutes.
