  1. The OC modules are read only and stored in a different area, but you can open them in the toolset. You just have to save them under a different name, and load them as a custom module.
  2. Originally I was just going to have a little bandit camp on there, but it grew into this.
  3. The northern part of the village is up on a bit of a plateau. So unless I totally misunderstood what you said, thats why you can't just go north from the eastern part of the houses to the northern part.
  4. Ok, I have a question for the devs. How do you enable the undo function? Because whenever I try to use it, it doesn't do anything. Or it undoes the wrong thing. Like I resized a bunch of rocks, then painted a bunch of textures, deformed some terrain, then went to move a fence and accidentally rotated them, hit undo, and it undid the resizing of my rocks. Anyway, this will probably be the final layout of my village. Now just need to add more village-like props like crates, and wagons and such. Oh, and the grass tool makes making farms SUPER EASY. Holy crap, laid down a field of wheat in like 3 seconds.
  5. Starbuck in the new one is one of my favorite characters... I love girls who could snap me in two
  6. I'm hoping it will be like NWN1 where they're read only, so you can open them modify them, but if you want to save you have to save with a new name so you don't screw up the OC. I did that a bunch after beating the OC, edited the inventory of your starting chest so you start with cool custom equipment.
  7. The shows I watch on TV now: Smallville, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Eureka, Brotherhood(huge Jason Isaacs Fan), Rome. Shows I own: Highlander, Hercules, Xena, Sliders, The Pretender, Firefly, plus many many cartoons. So I recommend any of those. Brotherhood is on Showtime, its kind of like an Irish Sopranos, only split between two main characters, two brothers one a gangster(Jason Isaacs), one a politician. Really interesting. Not as humourous as Sopranos though. Book recommendations: Song of Ice and Fire series, Sword of Truth series, Dragonlance Chronicles/Legends, Swan Song(About the immediate aftermath of a nuclear apocalypse with some supernatural stuff in there too), First 3 books of the Wheel of Time(The only ones that are really good, but you get hooked once you start).
  8. The village is growing, adding some more detail, I'dd try to flesh the place out some more next, add some props and such to make it look more lively. I wish the toolset came with some sample modules so we have a look at some examples how to use the texture brushes and such. Mine just looks a little off.
  9. That looks very nice. How long did it take you to do it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That took me about an hour, hour and a half.
  10. theres a rural_outhouse on the top of the hill.
  11. Brokeback To The Future http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ypaE9SPQ3g The Sleepless in Seattle one is good too.
  12. Its like he's rocking out... yet he's not...
  13. I did. It doesn't change much. The documentation also said to try to limit your unique trees. I probably took that a little too far though. It still a major work in progress though.
  14. Well, here's what I have right now. I'll probably just keep building on this every time I try to learn something new. It will be my tutorial module. Hillwater Village. I have the main town center's layout mostly done. Need to add the surrounding farmland and the houses along the river. The toolset is pretty powerful, if a little user unfriendly. For instance... the undo function doesn't work for: Terrain deformation, item placement, terrain texturing... pretty much anything you would actually want the undo function for. Also, for some reason I have a big square in the middle of my map where it won't let me paint textures. It did, but now it won't, as you can see by that big light square at the top of the hill there.
  15. Once its installed, look for a "Documentation" folder. It has a bunch of files on how to use the toolset.
  16. Pretty fast. Don't have many objects down yet though. Since I can't figure out how to rotate them.
  17. has anyone figured out how to manipulate the camera? I can rotate, but other than that I can't move anywhere. I also can't figure out how to rotate objects.
  18. Yeah, I usually don't preorder, though I probably should have with Civ4 since they didn't end up selling the collectors edition here. I preordered with NWN2 because I wanted the LE. Otherwise I just would have gone in on release day and bought it.
  19. Thats how people originally got it. Someone from OE posted a message asking people not to use it though. But, it being an atari FTP, and Atari saying we could download the toolset on oct 1, I guess they can't really shut it down.
  20. Well Fable only takes like 3 hours to beat so go with that, then replay KOTOR2 Playing Galciv2 right now.
  21. The toolset won't be legitly available until at least tomorrow due to some screw ups with the tech guys who designed the NWN2 website. If you check the NWN2 forums you might be able to find where to download the torrent, but I'm not going to link to it.
  22. Man, there were some people in the torrent thread before it was deleted bitching about how they were only getting like 200kps. I mean what kind of connection do you need when that is a slow connection? Anyway, 11 hours to go.
  23. Yeah, one of the guys who finished downloading put up a torrent. Using that until the legit link is up and provides decent speeds.
  24. I don't understand the people that are like that. They paid for the game. If they don't get the game, then they can be angry. The toolset was free. As long as the toolset comes out sometime today, they still live up to the statement that it would be out Oct 1. Sure I'm disappointed that I couldn't start my download at midnight, but jesus, its not the end of the world.
