I've seen campaigns that run for 40 days. I am guessing that they have the option to decide the amount of days the campaign will run. I'd guess 45-50 days is the maximum.

I hope everything works out, Raithe. I got a SMS from the police to pick up my new passport, so I will probably do that the first thing in the morning.

Gotham had a good episode last week. I hope it can keep this up, but I doubt it as we will probably have to follow the kids.

PAX South 2015 live thread
Labadal replied to Leferd's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
That's a shame. I think they are vocal minority. There's a lot of people that appreciate Obsidian and their games. OE is my favorite company in the video games industry, but I don't say that all the time. My presence on these boards should speak for itself. It's the only forum that belongs to a company that I visit on a regular basis. About the female threads, the one with the pictures got closed, but if it were me and I didn't like that type of thread, I'd just avoid it. I avoid many threads here. Why? Because they aren't interesting or relevant for me. Developer interaction is great, but I can understand why many devs don't want to post here, especially these last few months. But you also have to remember that Pillars of Eternity is a crowd funded game. We have been shown stuff that has been unpolished, stuff that would probably not have been shown if it was a game payed for by a publisher. In the end, it's sad that the developers find the environment on these boards unwelcoming, and I guess I would have to blame the posters for that. On the other hand, I think one needs to have a thick skin, too. -
Poll: Should there be a penalty for being knocked out?
Labadal replied to Namutree's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Have a penalty until you rest at an inn. Resting in a dungeon in the wild will not help. Maybe only have 75% full health after being knocked out the first time, then 50%. (Percentages can be adjusted to make it feel better.) That's how I feel about this. -
Or neither. Or neither. I was going to say, it really depends on the stock. Is it typically stable? It's been going down the crapper lately, but after doing some research and reading some new reports, I think it will do well. It's a steel company, so it could go either way. I posted earlier in the year that I made some money on stocks and that was another steel company, but I didn't have as much invested in that. I've put almost everything I've got in this one. Forgot to say what I've done today. It's very snowy outside, so I've been inside almost all day. Went to eat pizza with my brother. Been rading a little bit. Playing on my PSP and now playing Wasteland 2/browsing the net.

That's my phone camera, LC. I've dropped my phone so many times (maybe 50?), I'm surprised it even works. For example, the other day it fell down the stairs. It's also five years old but I have no need to change it as long as I can browse the net without any issues.

Maybe I will finish The Witcher 2 someday! I completed a side quest. Rotfiend Contract.

Lebanese food at its fines. My favorite food. (I need a new camera very badly.)

I did a really crazy gamble. I put all my money in one stock. I'll either lose it all or make lots of money.

For the Expansion: Belt Quivers!
Labadal replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I don't mind how they do it, just make the ranger more fun. He can store the arrows up his behind for all I care as long as he is more fun to use. I've only ever used the ranger once and it made area transitions a nightmare and it wasn't a fun class in general. -
Crickets of Eternity
Labadal replied to ryukenden's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I don't believe you. They have brainwashed you. It's what crickets do. -
Blackguards 2. It's decent but I prefer the first game the way it is now.
-
I agree, you help people because you want to, not because of your faith. Half the people I know believe in nothing, and we get along splendidly. I don't care what people believe in or not as long as they are decent folk.

I believe in an afterlife. I'll either go to heaven or hell. That doesn't mean I won't do what I think is fun. I love video games, violent movies, cussing in all forms: music, movies or whatever. I live my life the way I want to and then, whatever happens... happens.

X-COM UFO Defense completed which makes this my fifth completed game of the year, meaning I'm on track to finishing 60 games this year, too. I had somewhere around 80 soldiers killed and it took me circa 40 hours to complete. I ended up cheesing the missions in the final stretch. Mind control and then put all enemies close together and blast them.

See, this is the kind of stuff you need to advertise on your front page. This is a good moment to let people know that you will actually show off the game. I love Obsidian, but it drives me crazy when you don't put stuff like this up on the front page. Not because I will miss it, because I read enough of the forum to not miss stuff like this. But for someone that might have an interest in the game, it is a missed opportunity for you guys to not put it there. For instance, we have a post on the front page about KOTOR II being on GOG.

Sounds like he got stabbed in the back if you ask me.

Layers layers layers.. And quality jackets and socks. Indeed. I'm wearing a jacket of frost resistance +5, boots of striding +5, girdle of frost giant strength and a helmet of frost resistance that also gives me immunity to critical hits.

More X-COM UFO Defense. I now have 6 bases but two of them have barely had any work done to them. Need to build some stuff there soon. Some power armors and flying suits on my soldiers. They are now decent in mind controlling enemies and I actually have some decent weapons.

What a crap way to start the year. I hope things work out eventually. Over here, roads are freaking death traps. My mother had chest pains and we took her to the ER. Turns out it was nothing dangerous, some strained muscles. They told her to call if she felt worse. She was also told to visit the doctor he next day. Today, I learned that she fell because of icy roads, but I don't think it was anything serious. She seems in as good spirits as can be. Still riles me up when anything happens to her and I think to myself: I wish it was me and not her. She's not the healthiest person anymore nad it's not so easy to accept.
