Titan Quest and its expansion. I just wanted to play a hack n' slash game and this was the game I turned to. I have never played the expansion so I am starting over from the beginning and working my way through all the content.

Seeing Mourinho lose and David Luiz score was great.

Went to work four hours early. It took an hour. Went home, browsed the net and played Space Hulk. Then I had homemade kebab with homebaked bread. Two different types of dressing and vegetables. I'm now at work.

I beat Wasteland 2 the other day. STEAM says 90 hours played but the run that I completed probably took 75 hours. I restarted once when I realized that the skill points and attributes I had distributed to my characters wouldn't work in the long run. I did that at after having played for five hours. I also idled for about 10 hours. Overall, I thought the game was decent. I don't regret backing the game at all, even if there were things about the game that I didn't like. The combat is serviceable but mostly, it was about killing the enemies as fast as possible before they would charge you. That's basically every encounter in a nutshell. Different weapons were good in different situations, so that's a plus. The fact that you could split up your characters and attack the enemies from both sides was also good. Attribute distribution felt like it didn't matter that much after you had created your characters. I just pumped one until I got more action points. Skill point distribution, I have no problem with. What bothered me about the skills was the fact that when you use one, it takes forever to tell me if I am going to succeed or not. I hated that. Just tell me directly if I failed or not. That padded the game length quite a bit, I think. When you realize you failed to open a lock with a 91% chance after ten seconds, that kind of pisses you off. I liked the questing in Arizona more than the questing in Los Angeles, but I liked the writing more in the second part. Los Angeles just didn't feel as fun even if it was a bit more open ended. The progression in Arizona felt a bit more linear. The story in general and the writing were mid tier in my opinion. It can't compare to games like Fallout 1, 2 or New Vegas. It's better than Bethesda and BioWare writing, but that is probably not saying much. Comparison to a newer game would be Divinity: Original Sin. It has better writing than that, but gameplay is not up to par. I don't know how much choices and consequences matter and I honestly won't find out because I don't see myself replaying the game anytime soon. The voice acting was cheesy but in a good way in my opinion. I liked it. The soundtrack is good, but it felt like there weren't many tracks. One annoying thing about the audio was the sounds enemies made. Wtf was that about? I hope inXile got some good experience working on Wasteland 2 and that we see improvements for Torment.

Saw an interview with the House of Cards people who said they wanted to slow down a bit for season 3 and focus more on the Underwood marriage. That's not so bad. I'm just getting a bit tired of Frank Underwood at this point.

ID@Xbox / Windows 10?
Labadal replied to zmally's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Have Obsidian actually said anything about this yet? The xboxer in me is quite excited to have PoE show up on my xbox profile! I haven't seen anything from the devs, but I know it was one of the games listed. It doesn't mean a console version is being made as far as I know. -

Not have Activision own the rights? -
It was fun seeing Welbeck score. I didn't watch the game but I did have it on in the background.

Got a notice that I have to attend an important meeting on Wednesday. We'll see how that goes, it will be a very interesting meeting. Been happy with the weather in the past 10 days. I have started wearing my spring shoes and jacket. You can actually see the sun and it doesn't get dark at 3:30-4 PM. Talked to my boss and told her I'm taking two days off next week to go visit friends in Stockholm. I barealy see them anymore and I want to change that.

I need to watch episode 2 of that. I watched the second episode of the new House of Cards season. I'm not liking it as much as the other seasons. Season 1 was still the best. I'm also on the last season of Homeland. I like it, but I feel like they are overdoing things a bit. Arrow and Suits are also series I am following.

I just beat Apotheon and got the platinum trophy. The wait for this game was worth it for me. I've been following its development for years and I am happy that it did not disappoint me. I don't even know how the game review or what the general consensus about the game is but I had a blast. I did get some serious rage attacks but that's part of the fun.

Steam Achievements
Labadal replied to kryadan's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
There is one achievement that I am not sure is really possible (without using some sort of exploit). It is called the Triple Crown Solo and requires that the player play the entire game solo, on expert mode, with trial of iron (party wipe deletes save), with Path of the Damned difficulty. None of our testers were able to get it naturally. Ctrl+Y is your friend! -
I also played OlliOlli 2 but I am so bad at it that I just went back to Apotheon. I'm going to try and get all chests, unique weapons and all power ups or whatever they are called.

By the way, this topic should probably be pinned? One has to scroll down a bit to see it.

How is it? I love the concept and art but most such games are very gameplay-light. Is the combat actually fun? Is it puzzle-based? I'm not sure if I'd call it basic, but it isn't the most complex combat system ever. You do have to be careful with how you approach enemies or you will most likely end up dead. Stamina plays a role, out of stamina? Run around until you can attack. Combat is physics based, so sometimes you can gain a real advantage if you get in a good position and the same goes for your enemy. You have a shield you can use to block. There are ranged weapons and the melee weapons consist of daggers that are great for backstabbing, axes, spears and swords. You can raise you armor at a blacksmith and you can gain better at using weapons at the weapon master. Melee weapons break after a while. Also, sometimes using daggers/knives can be really good. I have used them against two bosses. I used ranged only attacks against one. There are also dark areas that force you to use a torch which means no shield. That's a perfect opportunity to roll/evade (you can still do that with a shield). There are healing potions and repair kits for armor, and then there are some potions that give temporary buffs. There are also some explosives you get that can break through otherwise inaccessible rooms. I'm not great at describing this stuff, but that's what I can say off the top of my head. All I know is that I am enjoying it.

Been playing Apotheon and having a blast. I only had one moment where I got upset and that was when the game crashed. There's some hilarity to be had when fighting enemies.

Went out to buy some pizza to eat with my brother. Pizza, the gift that keeps on giving.

Today was a good day until a few hours ago. I've been reading about IS or ISIS or whatever the f they call themselves and the kidnapping of several Christian people. Turns of those people are relatives of people I know, work with and so on. People dismissing this terror organization don't know much about the reality of how messed up they are. I should know, we escaped the region about 30 years ago because of crap like this. It feels like it will never end. This why I personally can understand the hostility against islam. I have muslim friends but they aren't really radical people. I also work with kids of all religions. That's why I try to tell them how important it is to respect each other no matter what background you have.

Spring is here for real. It doesn't get dark at 3 PM and there is no snow to be seen. I can actually see the sun! Dark Souls dude would be happy. I'm still wearing winter clothes but that's just precaution.
