The patience to do that, it's admirable.

My condolences. I've lost a few family members in the last few months and it made me really sad, but I can't imagine how it feels to lose your mother. When my grandma and grandpa passed away, I was really sad, but they had lived lengthy lives and were suffering their last couple of years.

I love the part where I don't have to care about office politics. I don't even have an office! I don't do much paperwork at all. We're ten people working on a contract. Because of a major restructure and a new boss, I'm just assuming that I'm not wanted and those people's future is also uncertain. There are ~20 days left and when I ask about a renewal, I get the anwser "I don't know" I've got enough savings to live well without a job for a year, it's just that I want to work. I like working with the kids and help shape them into better people, because, lord knows, some of them need help. Some of them were devestated when I told them I might not be there in a few weeks. I've worked a lot with some kids that other people haven't managed to deal with, basically getting the worst cases. They hit other kids and employeses when enraged but do not lay.a hand on me thanks to the trust they have gained for me. They don't do schoolwork and don't function in classes. I've changed that to some extent, mostly on my own. The funny part about all this is that I supposedly don't have the competence for my position, yet I have been here for two years. I'll take some time to just enjoy myself before I start something new. Going to Germany the day after my last workday. Will visit my cousin, and might check out a few outlets here and there.

What a waste of my time. I never learn.

Still not worthwhile as dodging the game itself. I know. I bought it day 1.

Diablo 3 on consoles will have a dodge function.

I've been at the same place for 2 years. Renewing my contract every 6 months. I got the job I have now via a job center. Well, I found the job, they just helped me with papers and stuff like that. I honestly don't know what to do yet. I'm still in contact with the job center, but I'm also searching for jobs on my own. I'm considering applying for positions for everything possible, even if I'm not qualified.

*Enters to leave a witty remark, exits confused. Goes to watch Xbox 6670622 reveal.*

Came home after a 10 hour workday. I'll soon wish that I had more days like this because on June 12th my contract ends and a renewal seems unlikely at this point.

I was not born in Sweden, but I've lived the majority of my life here. I learned to walk and talk here.

Obsidian to co-develop MMORPG Skyforge with Allods team
Labadal replied to C2B's topic in Obsidian General
I just mean that even if they work on bigger projects, it won't have a budget that can compare to the big companies, but I guess Obsidian never had those budgets to begin with. All that matters is that they can get better deals negotiated. Not just get money for actual development. -

There are many positive points one could make, yes. Onyx could power their future games, but it might be cheaper to go with other engines due to middle-ware. Sending out employees to work on bigger projects for other companies could mean that they gain some useful experience and knowledge. Scrapping AAA development means that there is less risk involved. Working on tablet games could mean a bigger market for the studio. (i don't mind if the games are turn-based. The only thing I don't like is the free2play statement, but that's because I'm against it in general. Most of what Feargus said, I could spin into a positive thing and the things he said probably are positive for the studio. But I also feel they are doing some of these things because finding projects is proving to be difficult and to keep employees at the studio. I have faith in Obsidian. As long as they keep delivering rpgs with focus on C&C with good stories and great characters, I'm there, regardless of platform and size of development budget. -

I know. I'm just a pessimist and always look at the worst case scenario. Ignore me. -

What worries me is that we might not see a lot of new IP's from Obsidian as long as it isn't kickstarter. I guess I'm okay with that. -

There are a lot of things that are said in that video that does not fill me with joy. I don't want obsidian to take the same road BioWare did. I want them to be successful and take over the world, but I also want them to cater to their current crowd. -
Hairy arm and leg are on the house. Putting that bread over the meat while we finished the rest of the meat. That bread tastes lovely afterwards. Yes, there is a plate of raw meat. We call it kebbe (don't have a clue how to spell it).

Cabin in the Woods. I had a feeling I wouldn't like it, and I was right. I've got to at least give them credit for the ending.

I'm building up my caravans in Neverwinter Nights 2. I thought it'd be boring and tedious but I don't mind it at all. I'm getting a lot of trade bars and it feels like I will never run out of money again.

They have South Park in the works, but I doubt there is any big use for artists and writers at this point. They have Project Eternity. They have a team of less than 20 people working on it. Most of them are from the design/art department. A programmer here and there. They have a next gen title in the works. We don't know how far into development the game is. I'm not even going to guess in what stage that game is in right now. They are helping with Skyforge in some way. Maybe Obsidian provides some help here and there, some writers, a few artists. Or maybe Obsidian will be helping them with a launch in Western Europe and NA? I don't see important names like Sawyer, Cain, Avellone or some of the others have any involvement with Skyforge. -

But they are helping out in some way? I don't know what to think. I'll discuss more later. -
A new low, man.
