It took me a loong time to figure the pump thing out for the first time. I wouldn't call it straightforward by any stretch of imagination, unless you are some crazy point and click aficionado.

I think that you use the rubber ducky and the clamp you get from the pump machine. You have to inflate the ducky and deflate it and mess with the band-aid on it and all kinds of crazy stuff. Those two are the most annoying puzzles for a long while, though.

Most people won't know these are optional on the first playthrough. Fun fact: Most people(over half) also don't know where their heart or lungs are located.

Hey, at least you're not a techno-pagan I have seen my share of idiots on EVE as well. "Other people" is the main reason I dislike MMOs.

One of those games has destructible buildings, the other has 20h of cutscenes. I think the choice here is clear. Also I haven't played either, so don't fanboy me, mr. Killjoy!

If anyone is wondering about Red Faction then here's a video review that includes stuff blowing up. MGS4's story has the depth of a bottomless hole, that doesn't make the story good, though.

I, for one love destroying stuff and watching giant towers crumble under their own weight. It's also not all about that, it's just the defining mechanic, while the rest of the game is mediocre at best. I just thought that destroying things was part of human nature.

Red Faction Guerrilla is going to be great when it finally comes out on the PC. Destructible environments are just too awesome! Played the demo, it was a total borefest. Did you miss the part where you can destroy all the buildings by demolishing the support beams etc. with a freaking sledge hammer? Because that's the good part. Oh come on, I'm not a kid anymore that gets excited about these trivial things. So you lost the ability to have fun?

If the 360 continues it's unlife, maybe the developers will be forced to actually put good gameplay into the games...
