Best game themes
True story, I have it on my ipod Or so you claim... Digging a little deeper, MGS had some nice stuff as well:

Best game themes
I played Sands of Time pretty recently and don't remember that song. It's pretty good. The Swamped video gives me a strong Nightwish vibe, maybe they're fans...

polanski
Man, Polanski polarizes like no one's business. What's the big deal? If you do something illegal you get punished, whether people agree or not and being and artist doesn't really change that. If you don't like it, get the law changed instead of making double standards and arbitrary exceptions.

Machinarium
Oh, I'm well aware of Mr. DiTerlizzi's exploits. Too bad most of the Planescape stuff isn't online.

Best game themes
from Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth Which also reminded me of from FalloutA Kiss To Build a Dream On - Louis Armstrong from Fallout 2 from Fallout 3 and last, but not the least from Van Buren There were some awesome oldie songs in Bioshock as well, but I can't think of any at the moment.

Pathologic
Are you sure it's not just the console port - IL2 - Sturmovik: Birds of Prey?

Pathologic
Pathologic(Мор (Утопия) in Russia) is apparently a not very well known Russian-developed horror game. Has anyone played it? Is it good/scary/playable/worth playing?

Machinarium
The art style actually reminds me of the style in the Planescape campaign setting books.(examples of which are really difficult to find...) @vault_overseer: Yes, it's Amanita Design, who also made Samorost.

Machinarium
Machinarium is an award-winning indie puzzle/adventure game with an awesome art style(these are screenshots): The demo is out now.

New Mass Effect 2 Character
I meant the skipping it part. Also enough "hilariously bad" will eventually turn into "boring".

Is this possible?
AC is like an awesome playground with lots of awesome stuff, but then it turns out that you are only allowed to use the slide over and over and over. Also lots of horrible cut scenes that don't really make any sense and the .

New Mass Effect 2 Character
So they're making JRPGs now?
-
So Fallout 3
It's pretty horrible over here as well.

Is this possible?
Yup, my netbook has the same one, I think. It runs Quake 3 pretty well. EDIT: actually it's not, but the 3100 one isn't much better.

New Mass Effect 2 Character
It's more of perception thing. Writing is one of the most important/memorable parts of most RPGs and since Bioware is pretty much a RPG developer(that made good RPGs) they are associated with good writing.(whether it actually was or not)

So Fallout 3
Let's not go there, again.
-
New Mass Effect 2 Character
I'm not saying it's bad. My point is that more is expected of them because of their history, which is why people are whining about their writing and not, for example, Halo: ODST's.
-
So Fallout 3
Yeah, he's pretty sweet... as long as you don't bring up FO3.
-
So Fallout 3
Almost like a different company had made the game?

New Mass Effect 2 Character
Back then they were heads and tails above most other game designers, now it's pretty much the same, which is kind of the problem.

Is this possible?
I don't think that would stop a game from running though. Just make it look a little less than optimal. My monitor's NR is 1280*1024 but I run all my games in 1024*768. I get a little pop up notice from the monitor when I start a game telling me that I should change the resolution, but that's the only thing "bad" that happens. Sure, it was just a side note. I have seen lots of people using something other than the monitor's native resolution on the desktop and it looks horrible.

Yahtzee reviews
Cool story, bro.

New Mass Effect 2 Character
We just tend to have higher standards for them because they are doing RPGs and used to make awesome games at one point in time. People just need to lower their expectations and all will be fine in the resulting gray-ish mediocrity.
