It's not about the combat, at all(hey, another parallel to Torment!). The combat in NWN has always sucked and MotB doesn't really make it better, the visuals are much nicer, though.

Wow, really good episode this week, easily the best this season and among the best of the series, heavy stuff. Whedon's style really shined here, even if you've given up on Dollhouse check this episode out(ep 4 of season 2), it's worth it. The writing on Echo's sleeping "pod" was super creepy, I really hope she didn't do it with her fingernails

It was nearly impossibly to predict how far the fire would go, they didn't show the radius when you were aiming it like in NWN2 and other newer games.

Summary: DA is not BG2. While you do make some good points, this post is not the "OMGZ best post ever" that some people make it out to be. First of all, there's a ton of people who describe FR as "generic fantasy". Secondly, you don't need a super fleshed out setting, to make story good, all you need is clever writing hinting at things that are out there, kind of like HL2 does.(but I guess that was kind of your point) The main character shtick does sound pretty weak sauce, though. Bio seems to be taking the easy road in that department, maybe it's to get the expanding audience interested.
