  1. I just turned the sound off and listened to a podcast while scanning the planets. I got enough resources to do most upgrades, but I didn't really have to scan a huge number of planets. Just do a quick-over and get all the hotspots, there's no need to deplete all the planets. @Orogun01: where did they explain that?
  2. That was pretty funny and it was nice to see him not just demolish the game, but also see the potential and what went wrong.
  3. People have less time and patience for games, especially when there are always at least a few games you could play at any time. Also it's not just long, but also really frustrating at times.
  4. Why not? Because it makes that part of the game look half-baked. If you're going to do something, do it right or not at all. Jack's alt-suit helped, a little :/
  5. Speaking of stuff, the "alternate costume" thing is hilariously pathetic, you're not going to put any effort into it, just don't put it in the game. Seriously, even the alternate costumes in Prince of Persia were better.
  6. You only posted the lame one Two bacteria walk into a bar and the bartender says "We don't serve bacteria in this bar" A room temperature superconductor walks into a bar and the bartender says "We don't serve any superconductors in this bar" A neutrino walks into a bar and the bartender says "We don't server neutrinos in this bar" Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar.
  7. Oh those crazy Serbians!
  8. My point was that Fahrenheit sucked because of its extraordinarily stupid story, not because of the gameplay.
  9. If by end you mean that the madness finally stopped and the main menu popped up again, then yes Dreamfall's "end" was an intelligent satire of video games which usually have a proper end. It was obviously an artistic choice.
  10. Argh, the madness, coming back, story incomprehensible, AI, aliens...
  11. Little more end-ish spoilers:
  12. You just described every video game, ever. Good job! Fahrenheit wasn't "unique" because of its gameplay.
  13. They recognize you because you are the the dude is wearing the ugliest armor.
  14. Nothing is as good as the original Shepard as Miranda explained. But think how many clones/robots you could get for all the money he spent on Shepard! And I'm not really seeing the "Shepard as a symbol" thing.
  15. Too true, it looks like a rejected design for the MTV Movie award.
  16. @Chrisimo: I guess, but a robot or a clone would have probably been a better investment
  17. @Raithe: This is especially hilarious (end spoiler) . @Jags: The dog tag search is just a mechanic to get you to see everything in the site. I think it's a nice stroll down the memory lane.
  18. The Illusive Man has to save money on something...
  19. Nope, it's free DLC.
  20. Too many textures, not enough polygons if you ask me. Not exactly UV, just plain fugly. Needs more bump mapping, rite? INCORRECT! That should be "will there be Crates?"! That said, I'm gonna get lucky and have a early preview of the game next week from our sony rep. As in he'll bring in 1/2 the game and start playing through it in front of an audience. Having it go all pants-on-head crazy would make it extra funny with an audience. Also you people have an unhealthy fascination with creates.
  21. Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge were great, especially the FMV stuff
  22. The Normandy crash site DLC was pretty cool. Better than most of the stuff, anyway.
  23. Purkake replied to Gorth's topic in Way Off-Topic
Nope, I'll look him up. I was thinking of Gateway by Frederik Pohl or Ringworld by Larry Niven.
