Unofficial P.E. Relationship/Romance Thread pt. 3
Well, oh paragon of reason that you are, you could see that romance might affect other areas - the decent post you're uselessly QFT'ing with some pathetic snark says as much - they have a finite set of resources and this can detract from other areas potentially. None of us being the PM on this we can't actually state to what degree this is though. Let me get this straight, the primary argument from the anti-romance crowd is that the implementation of Romances will\may detract from other areas of development, yet you can't actually say if it will\may detract from other areas of development because none of us really know the programming effort required to implement said Romances. So the premise of the anti-romance crowd is based on conjecture. Nice one boys, imagine the debate we could have if you guys actually had facts to substantiate your disapproval of Romance\Sex in PE

Unofficial P.E. Relationship/Romance Thread pt. 3
Care to elaborate? Because I view my 'problem' (not needing bogus emotional and / or sexual validation and / or gratification via a virtual digital relationship) as being a pretty healthy one TBH. Why do you think people who want romance are needing emotional or sexual validation / gratification? I mean we keep circling the drain on this - Anti-Romance: "Romances are stupid" Pro-Romance: "I like romances as a character option." Anti-Romance: "OMG, you **** to pixels!" The logic doesn't seem to follow, IMO, and seems to have no connection to what the pro-romance crowd are generally speaking about. There have been plenty of good points raised by the anti-romance crowd - resource cost of implementing a romance dialogue option with real depth; previous romances showing weakness in current implementation models, just plain focus issues with limited time to develop the game. But the "ooo, people who want romances are looking to make games their stroke material! Ick! Horror!" shtick doesn't make sense. I'm not sure what anything in the pro-romance suggestions would alter this. I don't think anyone has said that your barbarian HAS to romance an NPC...or even that you'd have to take NPCs along. I didn't realize Obsidian had licensed F.A.T.A.L.... EDIT: Horrible grammar (may still be but I fixed the one that glared back at me). Good comments Amentep. But using logic and reasonableness on the anti-romance crowd won't resonate with them. They can't seem to grasp a simple statement, having the option of Romance\Sex in the game is irrelevant as this will do nothing to interfere, diminish or alter your experience of the game in any way (now who said that? ) You can just choose to ignore it

party members in PE
Lol, you are funny Jasede But by your logic there is a correlation between the 2 topics, ignore certain party members and ignore Romance options if you want . I was just raising this
-
party members in PE
I don't think this will effect your gaming experience at all? You can choose who you want in your party. I must raise a point that I hope doesn't detract from this discussion. Why do people object to Romance\Sex in the game as these can be completely optional. As are certain party members in PE.

Top 7 Favorite TV Series
Oh my hat, "Brimstone" I didn't think anyone would mention it. I downloaded the whole series about 1 month ago and started watching it. Its dated but still entertaining, I wish they would remake it. The plot was really interesting. Especially seeing each escaped soul and there reason for ending up in Hell

Top 7 Favorite TV Series
There have been some excellent shows raised ( some I have never heard of like Blakes 7). I must say the The Wire is superlative, and I did forget it. It would be my 8th choice. We truly are spoilt in this modern era when it comes to entertainment

Top 7 Favorite TV Series
Interesting list, I haven't even heard of some of these classics. But good to see that you prefer the older series to the newer ones

Hurricane Sandy
We flew out of the USA from New York on Saturday so luckily we missed it. But I have been following the devastating power of the storm on CNN. Are any of our American colleagues effected? What is it like living in the East coast at the moment. I see that some people just ignored instructions to evacuate the areas the storm was going to hit. Yesterday I saw people jogging in areas of New York in high winds and rain, only in New York

Top 7 Favorite TV Series
Hi All We are truly blessed living in the 21st Century, we are surrounded by so many conveniences and absorbing things that entertain us. Not least are the many TV shows that we can watch. HBO, AMC and Showtime are just some of the companies that produce series that both entertain and excite us. They make movies that become cult classics and are loved and discussed for years, even when they end. So I am interested in what are your 7 favorite TV series of all time and why? I know there can be many more than 7 but I wanted to find a number that wasn't too long and 7 seemed appropriate, this list starts from your best True Blood : I am hooked on the whole Vampire sex and theme of this series. I really enjoy the characters and the fantasy aspect Boadwalk Empire: HBO's interpretation of the USA during prohibition makes this series my number 2 Walking Dead: Zombie apocalypse, need I say more? Justified: I find the characters completely real, I also love getting to know the various baddies in each season. Lost: Its not everyones cup of tea but I was addicted for many years to the mysteries of the island Deadwood: A cult Western series and I loved the usage of the old English language Sons of Anarchy: The violence and lifestyle of the various people make this show completely compelling for me Whats your top 7?

Hero-U Kickstarter: Quest For Glory spiritual successor
Quest for Glory was at the time the most amazing and inspirational game I had ever played. Before that had I played only played Kings Quest 1. It was my first proper "RPG" ( and it wasn't even a proper RPG, but for me it was close enough). I remember being completely stunned about the complexity of the game. Like Baba Yaga's Hut and the saying " Hut of Brown, Now sit down " For those interested in a nostalgic journey you can buy the entire Quest for Glory series on GOG.

How not to ruin PE with the Beta?
I am one of those people who has no inclination to play the Beta. I want all aspects of the game to be completely exciting and new for me the first time I play it.

Silvio Berlusconi convicted of fraud
I agree, its long overdue. That underage prostitute he is accused of having sex with didn't look 17 but that was the least of his crimes.

I watched some of your video, but there is only stomach so much of Russia Today. Seriously, it is like the Fox News of Russia, only even more biased. I do not even consider it a legitimate news source. I agree. Russian TV is the most biased and propaganda fulled News Channel I have ever had the unfortunate pleasure of being afflicted to watch. RT is a global English-speaking news network. How does that change the fact its anti-western and full of propaganda? I have watched RT when I travel in Europe and there are no other English news channels. I was forced to 2 months ago in Belgium.

What you did today
My sister went to Vegas over the weekend. The pictures she's been posting on facebook have been nauseating. I'm one of those people who always tells House that I prefer the wasteland. I love cities, but Vegas is a caricature with no natural right to exist. Thats a humorous description of Vegas, I love the place but I know loads of people who don't

President Obama
I found his comments reprehensible. He did clarify it by saying he wasn't saying that Rape is part of Gods plan but the act of falling pregnant. So he is still opposed to abortion but condemns Rape. I still have major issues with what he said, what about pregnancy due to incest. Would he seriously expect the women to have the child? His comments need to be unequivocally condemned by all Republicans and Romney, and I am not seeing that.

What you did today
You should try living there. :Cant's checking over his shoulder icon: I've worked on the Strip, and it's an experience for ya. I had this office in the Rio. I was only there maybe twice a week as I worked in various other places. Anyhow, in the Rio, there was a cute young ****tail waitress who would walk by the office and smile at me. She did that pretty regularly, and I never spoke to her. For all I know she was blind and it just happened her face was pointed at me every time, but it's always been a guilty pleasure to remember. I think I like the memory better than I would have if I actually struck up a conversation with her. Anyhow, I feel like hell. I need to take a nap the first chance I get. Good story We are staying at the MGM, the Strip is amazing. Full of energy and things to see, but Vegas is a good place to visit. I wouldn't want to live here.

More Cheese Please
Thats a good story, your mom sounds like a really nice person. I don't think that Swiss cheese is sharp, but it does have a distinctive nutty taste/fruity taste. If you think about the famous Swiss cheeses like Gruyère, Emmentel and Appenzeller they have these characteristics. I also think that there tastes are improved when they are melted. Thats why the famous Swiss Cheese Fondue is so yummy. Interesting fact, the USA has now surpassed France for the first time with the number of Cheeses it produces. So in my opinion the USA may not have the historical cheeses like Gorgonzola and Roquefort but it has an excellent and growing cheese industry

President Obama
Its interesting. The hotel I am staying at in Vegas only has MSNBC and FOX for there news channels. We don't see either of those in South Africa and I can see that they both politically represent the left and right respectively, but they both have extreme views and in my opinion, at times, biased reporting. FOX seems worse. I normally watch CNN, Sky and BBC which all seem much more non-partisan and balanced. I wanted to watch the final debate tonight but we have the opening introduction sessions and welcoming party at this symposium I am attending. I guess I will catch up tomorrow.

More Cheese Please
Wow thats an interesting cheese. I have never tasted it before. I imagine its hard to get outside Sweden? There have been some good posts made by others as well, its good to see that I am not the only cheese lover on the forums

More Cheese Please
I tend to agree, goats and sheep cheeses are yummy. I enjoy Pecorino, I find all sheep\goat cheeses have a more pronounced taste. I don't think I have ever eaten unique PoPortuguese heeses, we have a strong Portuguese culinary ininfluence n SA but not around cheeses. So we eat loads of Espatada, Sardines, Prego Rolls and food like Livers and Giblets
