I second your post, lets keep the Risen series going as it has potential
-
I gotta say you have some crazy and amazing nights Where did this happen at a club or bar?
-
Monte I'll assist if you can guarantee chainmail bikinis and Romance in your book? That's all I ask

Yes I'm also very interested in what fish? It probably sounds idealistic but I love the idea in the 21st Century of person actually going down to a river and being able to catch his supper. @GD How close are your neighbours where you live? Are you isolated and where is the closest town. I have this image of you living in the deep forest like some kind of ranger but its probably not accurate Oh I'm having Pizza for supper, Mexicana Pizza to be exact

Libya justified? Looking from an economics point of view return on Investment was in that conflict was a jackpot and therefor justified. Have a friend that went to post war Libya, he works in the construction business, stories he told me made me want do dig more about Libya because pretty much there aren't any stories or news on the front page coming from there creating an image that everything is fine over there. First a few links: http://www.globalpost.com/dispatches/globalpost-blogs/groundtruth/how-militias-took-control-post-gaddafi-libya http://www.globalresearch.ca/absolute-lawlessness-libyan-democracy-two-years-after-nato-air-war/5323093 http://www.theguardian.com/global-development-professionals-network/2013/jun/07/confronting-rape-post-war-libya http://www.jpost.com/Middle-East/Chaos-caused-by-Libyan-war-delaying-intervention-in-Syria-313803 http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/special-report-we-all-thought-libya-had-moved-on--it-has-but-into-lawlessness-and-ruin-8797041.html You can always argue Libya is better off without Gaddafi, that's always a suitable explanation for any wrong doings going on in that country. And put a few of those phrases that transition from a dictatorship to a democracy is always a tough road and all that other crap politician in the West say when they wash their hands from the responsibility and the consequences of their selfishly motivated actions. Libya was nothing but a gold rush for western states and foreign investors. UK spend what, 500 million dollars on the Libyan campaign, the reconstruction projects in Libya alone are estimated to cost around 300 billion dollars and guess who's gonna get those contracts? Let me quote a certain secretary: “Libya is a relatively wealthy country with oil reserves, and I expect there will be opportunities for British and, indeed, other companies to get involved in the reconstruction of Libya,” said British defense secretary Philip Hammond. Quote above sums up not the convenient aftermath bonus of the Libya intervention but the main reason. Not human rights, lives, security or otherwise, all which are really endangered nowdays in many areas more then ever. Libya was about economics, Syria is about geopolitics and strategic reasons. djlkjl So what if the countries that are involved in regime change in places like Libya reap vast economic reward? That's the way it should be as they are the ones committing the military resources and taking the risk. The Libyan civil war could have gone badly for the West and then what? They would be spending vast amounts of money in another Iraq conflict. Someone always has to rebuild countries after war so why not the West? In Afghanistan the Chinese have got billions of dollars of revenue rebuilding that country and didn't anything to remove the Taliban You seem to be selective in your reasons for intervention in Libya, Western countries also helped break the siege of Misrata. If they hadn't got involved tens of thousands of people would have been killed. So I can accept that there were economic interests but there was also a humanitarian objective. That should be good enough for any military action, the prevention of the loss of thousands of lives due a dictatorial and militarily backed government. This same principle apples to Syria http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Misrata And Gaddafi was no legitimate ruler, he came to power through a coup, abused state resources, never had a democratic or any election for that matter and ruled Libya like his own personal fiefdom. We should be celebrating his removal and the role the West played

The good news is the electricity has been restored in my area, yaaaaaaaaaay Unless you have experienced it before its difficult to describe the unbridled joy of driving down your street and seeing the lights on after being off for 48 hours
-
Everything you are saying makes sense expect for the fact the majority of the USA and UK public are against the war and have never been behind intervention in Syria, sorry to be logical Drowsy but you know how I detest conspiracy theories..and yes how else would you expect Assad to be portrayed but in a negative light. Anyone who is prepared to turn the might of his army and police against his own people who want political change doesn't deserve to stay in power, its as simple as that

What reason did the 'west' had to attack a sovereign country for 2 and a half years? Nobody is forcing the US to attack anyone, they're doing it at their own free will. And it's irrefutable only in the minds of you and your alike. Now now Hildegard, you need to be on the right side of history. Don't be a reed in the path of the hurricane that is the Western onslaught against Assad. No one forced Assad to use Chemical weapons, he has been pushing the boundaries for a while now and he needs to face the consequences of the military decisions he made against his own people

That all comes with the generous presumption that chemical weapons are really what this conflict is about and not an impossible goal used to create legitimacy for further involvement. Its no presumption, the West has had 2 and half years to intervene and its been avoiding it. The only reason the USA and its allies are now being forced to act is due to the usage of Chemical weapon, this is irrefutable my friend...irrefutable

I care about the possibility of a Risen 3, I enjoyed the series so far. So good find on your part
-
Gothic 3 was not finished when it was released. They did however finish it later with the help of the community. Gothic 3 Community Patch 1.75: http://www.madvulture.de/wp/media Don't play it without the patch. I enjoyed Gothic 3 but I second the view that the community patch is a must

The thing about being overly hostile is that you end up going up against my humanity (i.e. that fallible nature that will feel inclined to make a snappy remark, get dismissive, or in general just be defensive) which creates barriers to facilitating feedback. It's less murky and the details are usually clearer without that excess. That doesn't mean you need to say you love us or cannot say you hate a game or a feature, though. Obviously not referring to you personally, Alan, but Bio's corporate culture comes across as terribly passive / aggressive. Customers (different from 'fans', btw) are either (a) this mysterious race of incredibly complex and precious creatures that require advanced telemetry and marketing ninjas to understand, or (b) eternally snarky, butt-hurt plebs who couldn't possibly fully understand or appreciate the creative genius that goes into making a game. Personally I find it amusing and partially blame it on the circle-jerk, festering, emo-scented hive of lameness that is the BSN. I find it slightly draining and also irrelevant the constant generalizations that people make towards BSN. Let me give you an example, so there was this thread on BSN about what the sweat of a Asari would taste like ( or something similar ). There were maybe 20-30 people who participated in this esoteric discussion. But this discussion was used as an example of the depraved nature of the debates on BSN. Really? So the fact that a few people out of thousands discuss possibly controversial topics now the whole website is considered weird and socially inadequate? Personally I could never formulate an opinion about a website based on such a small percentage of what the members say but hey that's just me

I disagree. WWII allowed us to gain the military and technological advances that put us at the top of the food chain. WWII was a whole different story. We were attacked. Prior to that there was not much interest in involving ourselves in what was seen as a purely European affair. But then again nobody really knew Hitler was busy exterminating an entire race either. That might have shifted sentiment if it was known. WWI was a good example of a bad intervention. I could easily make the case they US involvement did nothing for us and may have actually made things worse. Korea and the Gulf War were also good interventions because we were defending an ally from an invasion. Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, now this were all expensive mistakes from which nothing good came on our part. The USA has had to intervene in many conflicts even if they weren't directly threatened but it was in there national interest. There were many proxy wars fought during the Cold War against the USSR that eventually led to the collapse and bankruptcy of the USSR. So even though you may see it as the USA didn't have to get involved in fact it did as it was part of a long term strategy. Almost all the conflicts you mention have the same reason for the USA intervening and do make sense

We have had a power outage the last 2 days where I live caused by striking workers from City Power who have intentionally damaged power stations. Anyway they now have brought in contractors who are busy restoring the power in areas of Johannesburg effected. So hopefully I will have electricity restored today
-
Braai, surely? Yeah I could have done that but I didn't have any charcoal
-
I was planning on having Sausage and Mash but we are having a power outage so I may need to get takeaways

Wow I had an amazing 3 days, so many interesting, bizarre and enlightening things happened. The highlights were The speech went incredibly well. My dad and the guests were touched by what they said was the great sincerity and sentimentality of what I said Amazing food at these funky restaurants the whole weekend My brother brought an Australian lady friend to the beach cottage and this lady was super sexy and hot. And really interesting ( she has just got through an African hiking trip

Malcador(and other Canadian members)...please don't angry. Shady didn't mean to say that, what he meant to say was he loves Canadian bacon but its in such high demand where he lives he just can't purchase it so he can't really comment on the superlative quality of it

I was also very interested around what Cameron was saying to motivate his cause and both those points are very relevant, especially the first one. I hope people like Zor read to make it clear that this was not the first time Assad used Chemical weapons and its obvious he has been pushing the boundary to see what he can get away with. Sadly it appears if there is no action this time he will continue to use this strategy as a means to defeat the rebels, but I guess some people will be only prepared to condemn him when we have thousands more civilians killed by Chemical weapons

Fair enough, I do honour the democratic process. So I won't say anything more. Lets see what happens when the report comes out. I was never advocating military action until we see that report anyway

Can you have a cat hireling in MM6? Also are there any spells that allow you to summon cats ?
-
That's exactly where I would start as well, that's weird how we have the exact same view on this topic
-
mmm...good question. To be honest I think the early M&M and Ultima's will be too dated for you to enjoy from a graphics and gameplay perspective. Do you have patience? I tried to play the early M&M but I couldn't handle them...so I suppose I'm not the right person to give advice
-
Okay, don't you think a rasher just sounds better ?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-23862114 Labours decision is a disgrace and there influence on the Conservatives around this vote is concerning. Hopefully they can have a second vote when the UN inspectors present the report Also don't read too much into Labours intransigence. This is more to do with playing politics than not believing there should be some punitive strike against Assad
