  1. Yeah we had this debate on the Internet Troll thread and we will never see each others point which is fine, so it would be waste of time discussing it further. I won't bring it up
  2. Maybe mice? But maybe baby hedgehogs...I really want to find out, its exciting
  3. Well I know when I mentioned this before you made a few jokes about it but in the South African constitution our clause about free speech really works, "say what you want but you can't impact the dignity of a person." Yes the words "dignity" can be subjective but its not hard to work out what you should or shouldn't say I'll be nice this time though. As long as you do not claim that SA has free speech or freedom of expression, then it is ok with me. Okay you saying I shouldn't claim that because we don't because of the clause?
  4. Wow that's a clever post, okay lets be pedantic and not understand my original point. Yes you right its a basic human right to hate and this is something that countries allow. Is that better? It is a basic right to think whatever you wish no matter how right or wrong it may be. Wrong of course often being a subjective thing. You don't get basic rights from a constitution, you get them from just existing. Your Constitution happens to be one of the more @#$*(@#ed up ones in the western world by the way. Outlawing certain types of thought is arguably more evil than the whatever it is you're attempting to outlaw. Wow, if you don't like the SA constitution then just say so. I prefer honesty and I don't believe you are being sincere with all this admiration....
  5. Oh your post made me laugh. Funniest post of the week for me

  7. Hedgehog? I hope GD reads this as I'm sure he will know, he knows his nature and animals
  8. Do tell, who is the real power-structure in the US?
  9. I also watched Prometheus and Life of Pi in 3D and I enjoyed the 3D effects in both. But I admit I don't scrutinize moves too much so I may have missed something?
  10. Nope I have no idea what a good Harlot does? Personally I prefer bad ...very bad harlots
  11. I agree to a certain degree but I still stand by my previous view that in all the RPG I have played the characters and relationships I remember the most fondly and easily were around Romance. And Planescape did have the initial stages of Romance and alluded to it but there was no sex.
  12. Valid reason, I completely understand

  14. mmmm...smoke some weed, watch a movie in 3D and then tell me the experience wasn't better than 2D What is it that makes it better? The barely noticable depth effect that doesn't actually register to your eyes and brain anymore after 5 minutes of film, the eyestrain from forcing your eyes into perfect focus for every second of the film, the higher chance of motion sickness, or the complete loss of color and contrast in the image? While I don't partake (I know, so unexpected from a dutch person) I highly doubt even weed can make this better. For me 3D offers a much more immersive viewing experience, I haven't noticed those negative things you mentioned. You get your 3D glasses and you sit down and the movie literally comes to life. I watched Hobbit 2 on 3D and it was epic, I still noticed the 3D effects the whole way through the movie What you do mean you don't partake, you are Dutch !!! I heard that weed smoking is something they teach you guys at school there is a tick-box when you apply for Dutch citizenship that's says " Do you smoke weed", failure to say "yes" means automatic disqualification ....
  15. This is a surprise to you? I was initially surprised that the majority was European, but then I remembered all my firsthand experiences with Americans, as an American. It surprised me, Agx I want to share something with you that I'm sure you'll dispute. In Africa we have running water, electricity and some people even have PC and access to the Internet !!!
  16. Hate never was illegal to begin with. Expression of hate towards specific things may be. But you can't really make hate illegal. Hating whomever you want for whatever reason you want is the basic human "right". Nitpicking here, but I'm bored. I disagree, I have never seen a single constitution in the world that says " you are entitled to hate as a basic human right". Maybe you can provide a link that can dispute this ?
  17. [–]Jexlz 12 points 5 hours agoI think you recently said you won't include romances in the game. They are almost standard in these kinds of games. What was your reason for not including them? permalink [–]obsidian-badlerObsidian Entertainment 29 points 5 hours ago Josh's response was that he didn't feel we could do them well with the time and resources that we have available to make the game. Take it from the guy who makes the schedules, he isn't wrong. Romances are very expensive to do well and we would have to cut things from the game to make them properly. permalinkparent Okay that is the same reason that gave on the Eurogamer article, damn
  18. I wonder if someone asked if Obsidian has changed there mind about the implementation of Romance?
  19. mmmm...smoke some weed, watch a movie in 3D and then tell me the experience wasn't better than 2D
  20. That does look excellent, and its a movie to watch in 3D
  21. Im inclined to agree with your first paragraph but disagree with your second. Imo, paying my taxes doesn't buy me the right to classified weapons system / intelligence gathering / etc... I feel those type programs must stay secret or basically lose all effectiveness. Thanks for the answer. Gfted1 where are you going?? Please don't leave, stay and participate in this deep conversation I'll be completely honest, Snowden is a traitor. There is no other way to describe him. I know people like Zora think he is some kind of modern day "Robin Hood ", stealing information from the powerful to disseminate to the rest of the world. There is absolutely no country in the world that would accept his behaviour and consider him a whistle-blower. It also appears that the Russians were far more involved in orchestrating this whole debacle than it first appeared. I'm not sure who I dislike more, Snowden or Julian Assange?
  22. Sarex you mustn't believe in conspiracy theories, they will depress and frustrate you to death
  23. Yeah I hear you, I'm already in a very committed relationship with myself...and its complicated
  24. There are finite resources, and the game wasn't pitched as a romance/interaction simulator. I believe Brian already pointed out the fallacy of the "romance would be easy/cheap to implement!" argument several pages back. Most of the people advocating for its inclusion seem to have no idea what finite resources and a tight planning schedule dictate in a project. OE has made a series of promises to the community about PoE, and romance was not one of them and more than that, has been categorically rejected from inclusion. You can have all the opinions you want, but poorly informed opinions don't advance the conversation. There isn't going to be romance, there aren't the resources for it, and the game won't suffer for it (i'd argue it'll benefit from the exclusion, actually). If you really want a romance intensive game experience.. Sex if You Win, Sex if You Lose Okay I hear you about the limited resources. So what if we drop the option for choice around races and different classes so the Devs can include Romance? That should give them ample resources? Problem solved
