In what order will you play the upcoming 3 rpgs
BruceVC replied to Sammael7's topic in Computer and Console
This is really good news, I hope the initial reviews are positive. >70 on metacritic >reviews are positive Pick one. Yeah some good feedback, these are the types of metrics I normally use when deciding to get a game. So I'll definitely be getting this one -
No its not, feminism is an important way to ensure gender equality. Please don't display your ignorance Volo

I'm game. As you say, my side has certainly stepped up to the plate and cited a bajillion examples of video game romances from the past to demonstrate how bad they really are. So I guess it's time now for your side to do your part. Show us how romances in video games can be done well. Sound fair? Because if you can't, then don't expect the discussion to ever deviate from its 'circular' nature. I'm certainly not going to suddenly change my stance just because someone waxes all philosophical and asks me to "have faith" that "maybe one day", some team of developers will come up with the "perfect design formula" that makes video game romances the opposite of what they've always been: bad. Strange you ask that question " So I guess it's time now for your side to do your part. Show us how romances in video games can be done well ". We have done this on numerous occasions, but you know me Stun. I don't mind repeating myself In summary A person you will end up Romancing has to in the party basically the whole way during the game because how else would the feelings develop If you want to Romance someone else then this will create obvious friction and possibly lead to jealously and someone leaving the party Romance is not automatic, gifts aren't enough to guarantee Romance Romance involves the right dialogue options but also certain events bring people closer together. For example surviving a powerful dragon or deadly dungeon will make the party realize the brevity of life and how they need to make the most of life, considering everyday could be there last Some Romance arcs are not real and in fact involve the person using you for some nefarious deed. For example Fall-From-Grace is not a good succubus but has an agenda to manipulate you to do her bidding, this will lead to you having certain predetermined dialogue options for example Anyway that's just some ideas -
But she has a healthy pair of lungs so we will give her a pass

There is more to it than romance, y'know. Like kicking. And punching. (Let us know if you manage to get the threesome though.) Yeah, I know there is more to Jade empire than Romance, in fact the other parts of the RPG experience should be much more significant, but I just mentioned the Romance part of it because this is a Romance thread and I'm looking forward to how it is implemented -
So let me get this straight, you support the "referendum" and the way Russia annexed Crimea?

What were the conditions to end sanctions against Russia after Georgia attacked South Ossetia? A quick reminder of that particularly shameful moment. - The mass media spun it like Russia attacked Georgia. - Europe imposed sanctions despite the EU report. The report confirmed that the conflict started by Georgians shelling Tskhinvali civilians and peace keepers for no reason. - The report was shoved under the carpet, Europe continued to babble and then quietly lifted all sanctions after a year. So by experience, we can assume that once the Ukrainian conflict ends, sanctions will go away after a year or so. The problem is that the conflict isn't exactly nearing its end and from the looks of it, it might end with Donetsk and Luhansk rebels in Kiev. What will the US (a very sore loser) do then? A second Vietnam in Ukraine? A second cold war? No Bester this is different, the West did drop the ball on Georgia but Ukraine has become much more symbolically important to the West The West has decided to really start confronting Putin and his desires for Russian hegemony in eastern Europe. Of course there won't be a war over Ukraine but as I've said several times you don't need a military option to get Russia to change its belligerent approach, sanctions will work. They will just take time

That's a good list, you left out Risen 3 though? And remember you don't have to worry about DA:I once I play it I'll endorse and approve it for you, so no need to get other opinions I have zero interest in Risen3/Witcher 3/Fallout 4 and i don't intend to play them. There are other games i'm hopefull about like Underail and Dead state, but the OP asked for 3 games and i listed more than that number already. If you can also manage to convice EA to sell the game outside Origin, i'll take you on your offer If you don't mind me asking why don't you want to play Witcher 3, why deny yourself that gaming experience? -
Is this accurate? If I'm reading this correctly 65 % of there exports are Petroleum based, I wonder where they are going to or rather how much goes to the EU which means Russia cannot afford to declare there own sanctions on the EU by not selling them Petroleum?

What about situations where you don't actually do the killing? You know, like sacrificing Anomen to Demogorgon's shrine in the underdark. Or having Aerie 'prove' her Bravery by sending her ahead (and alone) to clear out the Beholder Lair? Or letting Jaheira invoke the so-called power of nature by having her try and eliminate the Mindflayer outpost in the Sewers with only Sylvanis as her helper. I find that these things allow you to kill off unwanted party members without guilt. Hell, you can even argue that you didn't kill them at all. They killed themselves. I never did any of those things but they do sound exciting -

No need to be embarrassed about crying. This is a normal response when someone that is significant to you leaves this world. I often cry over sad things. Even though he was an actor this doesn't diminish the role he played in your early years and his comedy resonated with you and helped provide a form of escapism, and you can't equate how important that escapism was to you during your youth. He also probably did help contribute to parts of your personality. So its normal to be emotional as he meant different things on different levels to all of us.

I have been playing Far Cry 2 for 15 hours when it suddenly occurred to "I'm not enjoying this" Its not the fake South African accents that got to me, its just the gameplay. You drive around, and the driving is awkward, through enemy checkpoints to fight groups of people that always have the same strategy....the game is clichéd and just dull So I uninstalled it and I have just bought Jade Empire off Steam for $14, I will download it later tonight. I am excited about this game

That's good to know, I always get happy when RPG do well in sales
-
Its is expensive, you notice just how expensive when you look at the food delicatessen. They wanted to charge me 5 pounds per 100 grams of Comte cheese. It caters for wealthy Arabs and other affluent groups. But some things are normal prices like the Nerf range, I paid 7 pounds per pack of 30 darts, I don't think that's unreasonable?

The new KQ game suits me just fine
-
Why would that surprise you? They have a whole floor, level 3, almost entirely dedicated to toys

You right, I have never played an evil character before so the thought of killing someone who left my party would be unconscionable But an evil character would see this as a betrayal and act appropriately -
Meh, opinion of someone shouldn't change when they die - Bester thinks Williams sucked as an actor, big deal. Likewise fans of someone's work shouldn't really act outraged at such as if they were family. Still, mocking a dead person is hardly improper, not like the victim cares at that point. As usual you don't seem to get it, having a opinion of someone is fine. But criticizing and dismissing his acting career on the day he died on a thread where people are paying there respects and are clearly upset is completely inappropriate. There is no way any rationale person would not realize this, you worry me sometimes with your emotional indifference

I found another way to prevent characters leaving your party in BG2, Korgan ( dwarf berserker ) seemed to keep leaving my party at the certain time in the game in a town because of a particular quest I had agreed to. So what I did was ask him to leave before that by restoring a game. He then went back to the Inn and I completed this particular quest, then I went back and asked him to join my party again. Problem solved Your approach seems rather brutal and cruel to me -
That's clever, well played

I'm going to give it to her when I get back to the office on Thursday, I have been busy at customers since I got back. I did see the extended magazine but I only bought her 3 x packs of ammo. I also didn't want to go overboard on the presents until the relationships starts progressing. I'm glad you have heard about this Nerf gun, I had never heard about it until she mentioned it. But she said all her friends play this type of game Creepy office stalker mode... engaged. :D Not at all, in fact meeting someone at work is an excellent way to build a relationship. She doesn't work in my BU but works in a BU that we share a technology space with. So we always have something to talk about in a way that isn't awkward. In fact I would argue that the only way that is easier to meet someone outside of work is being introduced to someone through a good friend because that way the person you are meeting has already heard what a cool and funny person you are so the whole trust aspect of that first encounter isn't a problem. Of course the attraction component stills needs to be met but that's obvious in meeting any new prospective dating partner

Also most of you guys are probably aware of this but clinical depression is not uncommon amongst comedians, its one of the reasons that they become comedians. There desire to make people laugh is an expression of the fact they themselves battle to find laughter or purpose in everyday life
