I finished FC5 after 50 hours and you were right in the sense my issue with Resistance Points was about a mod I loaded, it wasnt a bad design. I was able to clear Map 3 by mostly completing quests and I did very little grinding But overall the game gets a 53/100 on the globally endorsed " BruceVC game rating system ", many people may be surprised by its low score but anything over 50 is still fun and has some worthwhile mechanics ...its just not a great game and there is lots of repetition. But one distinctive positive is the music, its evocative. They selected really applicable background music for the main parts of the game Before I uninstall it I decided to play a DLC called Hours of Darkness which is set in Vietnam and its great fun I am now also playing Hogwarts, early days and I am just on the first classes in the Academy but I can tell its going to be good experiences and I do enjoy the lore that exists in the Harry Potter universe I have loaded some recommended mods and Im looking forward to my Hogwarts journey

But whats significant about Shifa is the IDF used a much more humanitarian approach to occupy the building, to quote " Around 6,000 civilians were also evacuated, but unlike the November operation when there was no inspection of evacuees, these civilians were evacuated with a careful inspection to catch all of the terrorists" One of the legitimate criticisms towards the IDF has been the heavy handed military approach, instead of sending in ground troops to clear a building like Shifa they have often used bombs and missiles which ends up killing both extremists and civilians and its not an acceptable way to fight this type of urban warfare Boots on the ground, its slower and carries more risk to the IDF but its one of the most reasonable ways to fight in a place like Gaza

Also its not unreasonable to have laws that say " images of politicians cant be used in adverts during elections unless they give consent " Im sure those same laws exist in numerous countries for obvious reasons of abuse and usage of the image from opposition parties. I can only speak for myself but I wouldnt want my image to be used anywhere unless I give consent But end of the day Juice Media is not really an advertising company so the " advert " isnt really an advert so it shouldn't have been banned or rather it was unnecessary even if it was technically legal?

Okay your requirements make it harder for a recommendation because Metro and STALKER are FPS and Fallout 1&2 are isometric but not party based. You can have 1-2 companions but its not like BG or PoE Maybe Wasteland fits that requirement but I havent played them so I cant comment Wormie or Mamie or someone else may have suggestions ? @Wormerine @Mamoulian War any thoughts for post-Apocalyptic games that are "party-based;no first-person perspective; melee combat just as viable and effective as shooting from afar"

Have you never played any post-apocalyptic games like Fallout, Metro or STALKER Yes they not fantasy but they are an excellent genre and they have some similar components like monsters become mutants or mutated creatures

Yes but thats also obvious, all mobs and cartels dont operate in the open because then there structural and systemic criminality would be publicly exposed and scrutinized by everyone Can you imagine an openly Mexican Cartel aligned mayor and his speeches " today we brought in 1 ton of fentanyl, street prices are going to be consistent " So they operate in the shadows by design and the more corruptible a particular politician is the better

It might be related to a mod I loaded that I uninstalled after completing the main quests on map 1. I havent been to map 3 yet so I will see if I get more Resistance points for completing main quests on that final map You could be right because I noticed when I completed 1 quest on map 2 I got 800 points and that was after I removed the mod as well

Im about 40 hours into Far Cry 5 and Im not happy with how the Resistance points work. It was fine in the beginning but its now becoming laborious and repetitive In order to complete the 3 maps you need to gain Resistance points and you need between 10k-13k for each map and you get different amounts of points for each task or quest you complete so in the beginning it was fun because you can choose what tasks you can select so its like open world But then I completed all the main quests on map 1 which is John Seed and I had only achieved 6.5k Resistance points which means you have to now grind the activities which respawn. And this is the problem, there are only 5-6 activities like free hostages and destroy a roadblock and it gets boring very quickly doing the same activity over and over again And the same progression is designed the same way for each map. Its getting so boring I may even quit the game but I will probably finish it through hours of grinding because I dont like quitting any game But the Resistance points become a really bad design as you progress in the game

That is interesting. Im sure there are more cases of that and it would be applicable to happen in NJ and in that time period if you think of the era of prohibition and the influence of the mob and the rampant political corruption

The irony about Putin is if he had the confidence and belief in his own policies and support he could have a free and fair election and there is a good chance he could win legitimately Its impossible to know the true numbers but he has at least 40-60% of the country supporting him But autocrats like him cant take the chance of being defeated which is why they will ensure the reality of the political environment is not free and fair

I have played every Obsidian game you mentioned except for Outer Worlds and I loved them all for different reasons My favourite games being PoE2 and NWN2 But they all very entertaining. Obsidian is definitely one of my favourite current gaming studios alongside Bethesda, Larian and CDPR But its generally more accurate for me to list my top 10 favourite games because of the high number of excellent studios out there

Its quite funny and confusing but on Codex you have people in the Ukraine thread who are openly Neo-Nazi but Im not sure exactly what that means to them Most of them are Russian or from East European countries and they have these endless debates about Slavic ethnicities and who is white and who isnt But the Russian Neo-Nazi dont support Putin but they dont support Ukraine either because " white " people are getting killed on both sides and Putin is using a form of replacement theory in Russia with immigration from countries like Dagestan and Chechnya Its really confusing because there are all these ethnic groups within Russia that I have never heard of and most of the time I have no idea what they talking about

Like I often mention its always good to have breaks from playing the same type of genre That way I never get bored and I miss my favorite genre which is fantasy RPG

Absolutely, its one of those long videos you watch in the background and its also not a political message I have got into a habit of watching these types of videos during load shedding which is for 2 hour windows once a day. But sometimes we can go for 5-6 days with no load shedding and then it comes back for 2 weeks But its a good time to watch Youtube videos because I can use my cell phone and wireless and fiber still works

Im breaking my rule about not posting videos longer than 20 minutes but @Wormerine you and others will appreciate this. Its 2 hours long but very relevant and interesting
