  1. So if its not a hate crime are you saying we shouldn't charge them at all, do you think maybe counseling will work ?
  2. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/01/03/health/two-year-old-rescues-brother-video/index.html Guys you must watch this video, its really heartwarming and cute
  3. Link? The OP thinks I am an alt. My name there is Barnabas same avatar.http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/final-solution-to-the-alt-question.112795/ You know I am going to make an account now on Codex just so I can comment.....you made me think of something funny Let me know your user name if you do I will be using my normal name, no need to hide my name BruceVC when I will be making constructive comments about how the Codex can become a more cordial place and attract people who have some SJ values? I imagine some of you may be thinking they wont care but why wouldn't anyone want to improve themselves if confronted by reasonable criticism ?

  5. I am impressed, I always thought of you as someone who wasn't really cultured and would never spend that much money on dinner as you saw no value in it So nice one, you really put effort in. Your gfriend must be loving you
  6. And why should they be friendly with Russia ? You're one of those people that are friendly with everyone until you have a reason not to ? Russia has hot strippers ......isnt that a reason to be friendly to Russia
  7. Yes I would also never eat anything we consider pets like dogs or cats. For me things like snails, marrow and chicken livers are " normal " but pig intestines that sounds interesting? I have never tried that I still would love to get your opinion on the Buckhorn Exchange, I know you said no one wants to go but they serve unusual meat Elk and Yak http://www.buckhornexchange.com/suppermenu.php
  8. Don't worry Turkey is part of Nato, and they also like systematically oppress their people. So you know how much freedom means for freedom army Yes Turkey has made some controversial political choices but they also a very important strategic partner to the West in the region so we cannot be too judgemental For example, one of the many benefits Turkey provides is the processing area for refugees attempting to get to Europe
  9. The rise of homophobia in Russia is not a big factor for the tension between the West and Russia, this would be a minor issue in the world of global-politics. But it creates criticism from some circles towards Russia but this is more on a SJ\equality level The West has a strategic alliance with Saudi Arabia, they are both united in the war on Islamic extremism. After 9/11 Saudi Arabia didnt care about fighting Islamic extremism until they started getting targeted. So the West and countries like Saudi Arabia have a common enemy We have to ignore the obvious issues around some human rights abuses in places like Saudi because we face a greater threat from the likes of ISIS and Al-Qaeda Red just to be clear, do you want to know why this perceived animosity and suspicion exists towards Russia?I do, but I'm just finding it a bit ironic and a bit funny that USA wont get along with Russia because of difference in beliefs BUT in USA christians and Muslims and atheists are all supposed to get along even though they have difference in beliefs and ideals by LAW.Just seems a bit hypocritical of USA especially with tolerance being shoved down our throats over here. Why not do what they force their citizens to do, get along and work together even though culture/beliefs/morals are different and go against each other. You are asking a very pertinent question, I have realized people like myself who have been raising this whole " guys Russia is hacking the USA,.,,,,,,why aren't you getting upset " are not explaining the context or going into the history of cyber-espionage so it probably seems we are making at times an unreasonable fuss over something that for many people doesnt appear serious I am going to make a separate post around this to explain in more detail why the Russian hacking is a concern ...I look forward to your comments Highly unlikely as the state doping was only implemented after the bad results of the Russian athletes after the Vancouver 2010 games and the ability of Russia to interfere in the IT infrastructure of countries is also a relatively new phenomena ....we have seen this the last 10-15 years maximum because hackers lacked the resources to implement the types of disruptions we sometimes seeYou are talking about new methods and new technology not new mentality. As always you don't dissapoint by being clueless and oblivious to reality and facts. Volourn is right, mentaly Russians didn't change at all for... well it will be a century in March.Oh you guys are talking about the historical behavior of Russia and not what they actually do nowadays....its still inconsistent to the criticism but I see the point I'd like to know, it's always good to get as many sides of the story even if u may not agree with what's being said. Also I'm a bit on edge with RL, so don't take my rants personal lol I enjoy your views and dont see your posts as rants, rather as honest manifestations of frustration around some societal dynamics
  10. Shady what is the most exotic thing you have ever eaten? I basically eat everything except for insects I eat offal, brain and all types of unusual meat like horse and jellyfish.....sometimes I eat something which isnt great but I try to be adventous at restaurants so I challange my palate
  11. Red just to be clear, do you want to know why this perceived animosity and suspicion exists towards Russia? 12. If I can give you some advice, be very careful you dont mistake obligation with unrealized correct or moral behavior. So in other words sometimes we stop doing something thinking its a negative aspect of our lives but in fact its an unintentional part of our ritual that we not aware of
  13. Highly unlikely as the state doping was only implemented after the bad results of the Russian athletes after the Vancouver 2010 games and the ability of Russia to interfere in the IT infrastructure of countries is also a relatively new phenomena ....we have seen this the last 10-15 years maximum because hackers lacked the resources to implement the types of disruptions we sometimes see
  14. Its definitely got worse over the last 10 years, the way the Kremlin supports a certain narrative and believes in Russian hegemony is concerning The state sponsored doping and state supported hacking is an example of this
  15. Red just to be clear, do you want to know why this perceived animosity and suspicion exists towards Russia?
  16. Im not following some of your point, what potentially untrue information were the Europeans told and what were the Russians told?
  17. There is laws that if you speak about homosexuality you can be jailed, because of spreading homosexual propaganda. These laws are used to jail people carrying rainbow flags etc. symbols of LGBT community, so I would say that they are very much systematically oppressed. That only mean that they don't have the privilage of running in the streets with their genitals displayed. Russian approach is reasonable and the West is not. The Russian approach is just another example of how under Putin Russia has become an intolerant and insensitive society, it is this type of social development that puts Russia at opposite ends to the West Russia doesnt share certain core values that the West believes in, if you are a bigot and or homophobe then the egregious discrimination in Russia against the LGBT community will seem rational and reasonable but for many people it is appalling and contemptuous
  18. More freedom than in Russia? That's not exactly a high bar to clear. Have you been to Russia? I've been there and in the US, so I can compare. Dark you not seriously suggesting Russia is a free society?
  19. It was deer. Well, deer calf and to be perfectly specific saddle and tenderloin. Young venison runs a much smaller risk of being gamey and tough so the extra money is well spent - assuming one likes venison and has no problems with eating cute little baby deers. That sounds delicious, we have lots of venison in SA and in hunting season we have all this variety of animals like Impala, Kudu and Eland
  20. Even though I cancelled my leave for December its been fun and interesting staying in JHB this week. I work a few hours each day but then I can do my own thing in the afternoon. Today I have been at Hooters which is always festive, shooters and chickens wings were rife And I still get to take this time off as leave later
  21. No, me telling you what you should be doing has nothing to do with SA crime and courts I know what you should be doing as its obvious and has already been implemented, no need to thank me for wanting to improve the USA. I am driven by altruistic and constructive opinions on how to improve certain social dynamics in the USA
  22. Yes, we need to make our prison system and the entire justice system more like South Africa. SA is really leading the future on the issue of crime. WOD you cannot seriously believe it is acceptable to send people to jail for position of weed? Thats the core point of this debate, in the USA the sentencing of people for weed was egregious and extreme. This has now been relaxed in most states so that is a good thing You dont want our prisons or degree of criminal activity ....you guys would think its a warzone. We have high levels of crime
  23. Okay....shady you have some serious competition. I love Vension, what specific meat was it ?
  24. Thx for the tip Shady, this is exactly the type of movie I enjoy Earlier I was saying to Majestic how sometimes not many people on this forum after 5 years seem to understand how I post or think, I'm not really blaming anyone because as I realized several months ago I am not actually a good forum person as I dont understand and don't really attempt to decipher most of the internet innuendo or forum vernacular many people use Yet you recommended a movie that is incredibly applicable ....especially today. How is this for coincidental, not even 4 hours ago I was on one of the radio talk shows talking to a awesome black women who is also a talk show host and TV presenter. Anyway she was talking about how in SA they are going to be legalizing weed and then we started talking about prisons in the USA and she was saying to me she wants to do a show about prisons and how unfair sentences in the USA lead to African Americans getting jail time for very long periods of time Anyway this video is exactly what we were talking about....isnt that bizaare. I will tell her about it and they can get it for the radio show Quick question, how did you know I would be interested in that particular video because we dont really discuss racism and my views on issues like jails in the USA? Given your misunderstanding I don't think you're in a position to make that judgement. Baro I know you appreciate constructive criticism but the issue here is not my question or statement but rather how you guys sometimes unintentionally propagate and encourage the concept of " post truth " ...in other words we make statements that are not based on fact but rather some personal emotional issue with how workers are paid.....and then its slavery its not all the time but eventually we need to move to a point where if we going to say things that cannot be substantiated we rather not say them .....if we dont start getting into this habit we contribute towards misinformation and benightedness on the Internet
  25. Ah, okay now I get it Obviously the guy isn't being serious so I assume KP and others were just joking Anyway now it makes sense
