  1. It does not have to be this way. But it will be until people realize there are options beyond the one we have now. Yes... one A melancholic assessment of the state of US politics my friend ....pass the razor blades But under Obama the USA , apart from understandable drone strikes, tried very hard to stay out of the ME and other geographical hot spots of political and social instability But Trump has brought the USA back into the interminable struggles of the ME, thats on him No, Obama is 100% responsible for our involvement in Libya, Syria (not the mess, just our involvement in it), Yemen, and several African countries. As you my melancholic assessment: "When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion — when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing — when you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors — when you see that men get richer by graft and pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you — when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice — you may know that your society is doomed" Libya, Syria and Yemen are conflicts caused by the Arab Spring and the horrific civil wars we now see are a symptom of the leaders of these countries refusing to be more inclusive of there own citizens in economic and political transformation The USA was involved after the Arab Spring started, the Arab Spring was not caused by the USA https://www.theguardian.com/world/interactive/2011/mar/22/middle-east-protest-interactive-timeline https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Arab_Spring I would strongly suggest no one in the USA accepts responsibility for the Arab Spring but of course if you do you are absolving the appalling dictatorships and lack of human rights that exist, and use to exist in the ME, and this needs to be addressed by the ME leaders What African countries is the USA responsible for causing wars or bombing in the last 20 years ?
  2. Well he never convinced me about one thing, he was very anti-Western He was like Zora but prone to incredulous, unsubstantiated and incoherent ramblings about " Westlings " and " pure white races living in tribes in mountains "

  4. This is my experience as well, I have heard the argument from feminists and gender equality activists around why opening doors for women can be seen as a negative but in RL I have never had anyone actually criticize me for doing it
  5. Dying Light, I am really enjoying it. Good Zombie killing
  6. Greetings Welcome to the forums Can I borrow money from you, maybe $2000 and I should be fine ?
  7. Unions in South Africa are both recalcitrant and intransigent, they have become a major stumbling block to address economic transformation They are stuck in some bizarre view where they still think its the 1980's where you ignore the P&L statement and just protest at the expense of the sustainability of the company. They are completely out of control and our government really needs to reign them in So yes you can imagine I do have an issue with SA trade unions
  8. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Terror_(TV_series) Guys this is a brilliant series and highly recommended if you haven't been watching it

  10. Nah, you cant really compare US celebrity culture weddings with the UK monarchy weddings but I know what you mean
  11. Well a lot of regular folk did get an invite due to their charity work, which is neat of them. It's a big deal for the CBC here, my mom and sister will probably have it on the TV but not a big deal - they have to put up with me watching the World Cup for example Very true, check this out http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-43254174
  12. Except this isnt fantasy, this is about the history of the UK and the UK Monarchy. Its very relevant and real to the UK Other than the entertainment factor, how is it relevant and real for anyone that is not a part of the royal family? Are you asking me what the UK Monarchy does for the UK because this wedding is a part of that for a number of reasons Here are a number of reasons why this wedding matters http://time.com/5037634/meghan-markle-engagement-prince-harry-groundbreaking/
  13. https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/04/22/this-opec-country-has-the-largest-proven-oil-reser.aspx Yes, it has the worlds largest proven oil supplies

  15. Wasn't that his brother? Yes that was Prince William married to Kate, they have 3 children now...cute little tykes
  16. Cuba has always been a economic failure, they espoused there own form of Socialism and claimed it was sustainable and works This was a lie and during the Cold War only funding from the USSR kept them financially salvageable When the Cold War ended anti-Western countries like Venezuela continued to keep Cuba going especially under Chavez, so this egregious latest oil deal is much of the same because Maduro needs Cuba to not collapse so he can keep playing the old " Capitalist countries are bad mkay and our systems of government really work" Its a disgrace but doesn't surprise me, Maduro is an appalling leader and doesn't seem concerned with the general welfare of his own people
  17. Its epic my son, its huge. Never forget the important role British Monarchy play in the UK
  18. https://www.yahoo.com/news/royal-wedding-2018-time-details-061347314.html So who else is planning on watching this grand day of pomp and ceremony? I plan to watch most of it...besides its hard to imagine Meghan Markle looking more beautiful than she normally does
  19. the SaveLucifer tag could possibly hit 666k tweets by midnight would love to see it picked up elsewhere, just not palm tree-less Vancouver ... Gentlemen, you do know this series is not based on a true person?
  20. He might be? But he is now making all the relevant decisions that I support as he is trying to change the conservative culture https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/21/world/middleeast/saudi-arabia-crown-prince-mohammed-bin-salman.html http://www.newsweek.com/saudi-royals-detained-ritz-carlton-are-being-forced-pay-their-freedom-714802
  21. They could launch an attack but it would be deemed a failure as the actual nuclear labs are literally in these mountain valleys or hidden tunnels http://foreignpolicy.com/2015/03/03/that-secret-iranian-nuclear-facility-you-just-found-not-so-much/
  22. Its funny, I have my DSTV and Netflix and Showtime so I have real choice But there are still series I cant find, like the Preacher
  23. Oh yes I meant to tell you, only the USA has a certain type of advanced bomber that can penetrate the mountain fortifications that the Iranians were hiding and developing nuclear kit So the involvement of the USA had to be part of any strategy to attack Iran and destroy there nuclear sites\training sites Thats why Israel never would attack on there own
  24. Okay yes I understand, I think the last season was okay ?
