Yes I think their is always a risk Putin may object to Ukraine joining the EU but thats something the Russian gaslighting has not focused on, its always been about NATO And at the moment their are EU countries not part of NATO so its going to be hard for the Russian propaganda machinery to really use that as excuse for further warmongering?

If Russia pulls out and Ukrainians agree not to join NATO I would go with that ?Ukraine can still join the EU when its suitable but it doesnt need to be part of NATO ?

Ukraine is a sovereign country and in 2019 they had a election and Zelensky won the second round by 72% which is considered an overwhelming victory in any Democracy. Zelensky ran on a pro-EU\pro-NATO ticket and the majority of Ukrainians still voted for him because this is the future they want Do you not believe that Ukraine aligning with the West is what the majority of Ukrainians want? How is the West playing Ukraine when the citizens of Ukraine want to join the EU? And now in Finland the majority of citizens want to join NATO, what would you say if Finland joins NATO, should the people of Finland not be allowed to join because of Putins warmongering and paranoia
