https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/microsoft-buys-activision-blizzard-68-141047397.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall Microsoft paid $68 billion for Activision so yes I think Kotick will be okay

This is an overreaction but its because of this irrational and real concern with revisionist history and attempts to teach CRT in schools in some states. And before someone says " but its not being taught in schools, stop fearmongering BruceVC" Thats only because its been blocked and prohibited in several states or it would be taught

Its good to be wrong sometimes in life, lets hope this is one of those times

@Mamoulian War Yes, Mamie are you sure that Obsidian wont be making anymore isometric RPG? Is this an official statement, a rumor or a guess based on games they currently developing that arent isometric RPG?

Do you guys have any examples, in the last 10 years, of where Microsoft has bought a gaming studio and its got worse? For example since they acquired Bethesda things seem fine and I dont see any problems with any Bethesda anticipated games Microsoft nowadays respects the independence of gaming companies they purchase unless the company is running at a loss in which case they will intervene to fix things So I dont get all these negativity about this development, its much worse on Codex with people really upset and venting. So you guys are more reasonable with your concerns

This is huge news, well done Microsoft

BruceVC replied to Zoraptor's topic in Way Off-Topic
Is this is a condition you have always suffered from or has it got worse the older you get and what games can you play if any, do you know what caused it ? Sorry for all the questions, I am always interested in these types of ailments and if they physiological or is it more a mental problem like something caused by stress( thats just an example ) -

Yeah, its well known that most people from the Baltic states hate Star Wars ....its something to do with the Cold War and the Reagan missile defense system. So dont take it personally and want a divorce https://atomicarchive.com/history/cold-war/page-20.html -
Here is an informative and interesting video of the scope and support of Adult games, you can watch it directly on Youtube

https://www.thefashionlaw.com/lego-name-in-copyright-lawsuit-over-leather-jacket-design/ @Gorth Gorthfuscious I am shocked and disappointed by this latest criminality committed by Denmark, I cannot believe you Nordic people are so dismissive of IP and copyright laws? I dont know what is worse, this callous infringement or the massive NZ KFC chicken smuggling syndicate that was exposed ? ( @Zoraptor I didnt notice you acknowledging this moral decay in your country ? )

I completed Bards Tale Trilogy, game 1, after 70 hours. It was great fun and my first real CRPG I have ever played. I had to get use to the various gaming mechanics like prudent combat strategies, I learnt when to defend and when to use items, and being able to teleport quickly back to Skara Brae for healing( walking all the time can be tiresome ). And I can see how BT1 really was the precursor to future hard puzzles and interesting dungeon level design and how to progress to deeper levels This game gets a well deserved 65\100 on the globally endorsed " BruceVC game rating system " and I look forward to playing BT2&3 -
I havent played PoE yet so I cant comment, I just know its easy to end Bioware Romance arcs in about 30 seconds. Because you just say " no " in the dialogue options and your party members dont re-initiate the Romance unless you do, as far as I remember, but the point being its not intrusive
-
Melkie you know Romance arcs in RPG are the same as all components in RPG, they not suppose to be same as RL or the things we do in RL? You use your imagination and RP the various outcomes and developments but its never going to be like Gone with the Wind and other real Romance stories Also I am always interested in the criticism that they intrusive and distracting, can you give examples in any game how optional Romance arcs are truly intrusive? Because I generally always explore Romance arcs, if I like the Romance options, in all games and if I think of Bioware games where you have straight and LGBT options it was easy to shutdown the unwanted attention from the gay wizard in my party because the first time he flirted with me I just said something like " I would prefer to be friends " and he never flirted with me again So my question to you and others is " how can the inclusion of optional Romance arcs really be a problem when they so easy to avoid or not to participate in " ?
