Why do you think the current Iranian civil unrest is forgotten by the Western world? The unrest in Iran is covered everyday on all the international channels I have access to but most international journalists and general access to Iran is restricted so its not like access to Ukraine Also as I have mentioned several times a war like Ukraine thats on the border of the EU and directly impacts the stability of the EU is definitely going to be more of a concern to Western countries than a war in Iran or Ethiopia Its the responsibility of institutions like the AU and the ME countries to show the most concern when there are wars in there regions. Dont you think thats reasonable?

So I have decided I am going to play these games next as my fantasy choice, I will start with Kingmaker But as I mentioned I am playing BG1&2 now so when I am finished my gaming code says I have to play a game that isnt from the same genre and mechanics . You think people are biased against Russia and Putin, whatever gave you that impression Putins unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is a war Vals and yes in a war most people aren't neutral or impartial. Its like WW2 where people were biased against the Nazi and Germany. Yes but you cant expect countries that are not part of the direct Western alliance to not buy Russian energy. India is on the side of its own economic trajectory so I cant see why they would not buy cheap Russian energy? But they dont support Russia and its invasion or annexation of parts of Ukraine and we know this because of how they vote in the UN The votes at the UN are not a game and send a clear symbolic message but its a different decision when it comes to energy. Each government has to ensure energy for its citizens and each country will make its own decisions based on their own resources and what is available

Its true, most former Soviet states had been warning us about Putins real hegemony and aspirations and how it was a risk to overall EU and global stability But I thought it was more because they remembered the Soviet occupation and then Merkel\Germany meant well with trying to be more inclusive and less critical of Putin through the years But those days are over now and the likes of Germany and other Western countries are united in understanding the risk Putin poses to the stability of the world. @Valsuelm Im glad you responded but I disagree with you on lots of things that include you cant separate Putin and his autocratic leadership, which undermines normal freedoms that exist in the US like the right to protest and the right to criticize any war, from the invasion of Ukraine They are inextricably connected because this is Putins War and his dysfunctional and sociopathic personality is a huge part of the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the war crimes committed by the Russian military just make things worse You will find very little sympathy or resonance on this forum for Putin and his invasion
