  1. wow, that's pretty harsh. seals it for me, at least for now
  2. Tale, you're a beast
  3. no, I bought a Steam key for TF2 only, at least it was relatively cheap
  4. I'm seriously considering buying Section 8: Prejudice. pretty cool and has jetpacks. mmm
  5. Team Fortress 2 is a piece of crap, I can't believe I wasted my money on it... some of my buddies are trying to persuade me to buy Brink, but I have a feeling it will be exactly like TF2 but with jumping off the walls... bleh I say, too bad there's no MP demo
  6. guys, you're still going at it? amazing
  7. not a magazine, a guy who works at a publishing house, he got the preview version of the game yesterday. so it's not the final build yet. not too many details. maybe there'll be more tomorrow
  8. first reviews are beginning to pop up. I just rea one, the guys says it's awesome, especially the combat system, "hardcore and tactical [...] a simpler version of Demon's Souls", sounds promising. apparently there is no loading time (at least he never encountered any spots where the map had to load up), and the whole location is just one huge map.
  9. this is preposterous
  10. what's the problem with disconnecting from the internet before launching the game, if you know the patch is going to be enforced
  11. in Vlad's case those were stakes, not fences (hence the "tzepesh" part, which presumably means "stake")
  12. oh yeah, Beyond Oasis! and Soldiers of Fortune
  13. so, I came across a YouTube channel, where this guy does reviews of old console games, now, regardless of the fact he's a shameless AVGN rip-off, the games he picks are actually very good. Metal Storm, Earthbound, Sweet Home, Journey to Silius - all of these are fantastic, I can't believe some of these games were made for the NES...
  14. I saw all the endings. and I played the original version (the japanese one, and I couldn't read japanese then), so from time to time I'd pick the wrong option and end-up with an ending I didn't want. played through it 20 or so times... ah, those were the days. but thanks to you mentioning that other game I found another Konami gem: Rocket Knight Adventures. I'd missed it then and never heard of it until today, that looks like a great game. also, Doom Troopers was a kick-ass platformer, and Earthworm Jim
  15. ML Hockey is better IMO, also, where's Rock'n'Roll Racing? Road Rash 3 was way better, if only because of the soundtrack. best Contra is the one on the Genesis; Hard Corps. that's easily my fav 16-bit game of all time. never heard about Gunstar Heroes... and that D&D game was indeed epic.
  16. man, I hated that game
  17. wow, didn't know such a thing existed. Russia had been drowning in China made NES clones at the time... anyway, I'm kind of disappointed nobody mentioned Double Dragon and Contra Force
  18. do you mean MegaDrive? I never saw it but I thought it was 16-bit
  19. by making all of the missions take place during night time? oh, and don't forget the constant rain
  20. but it has a single-player mode, which sucks. so I'm trying to imagine HL3 made as L4D, and nothing good is coming out of it
  21. oh? afaik Resident Evil 5 can't be really enjoyed without a human companion. AI Sheva is the dumbest of them all, or so I've heard and Left4Dead isn't the best of examples either
  22. and it wasn't an original game to begin with
  23. must be a typo then, it clearly says "billion" of course I don't expect you to read Ukrainian. at 0:16 it says "1.5 billion copies sold on PC"
  24. people say it's just as good as (if not better than) Half-Life 2. I'm really excited
  25. TW2's trailer says it, but I guess it's some kind of a joke then
