  1. I don't remember, what made it so infamous? Story Structure and Amnesia was it, not Narrative. Here. Mainly, because they fall into the trap of thinking the courier has Amnesia. And talking about how great Fallout 3 does it comparitavly.
  2. I don't really like Extra Credits. Well, I appreciate it on the informational level, but imo there's no interesting discussion to be found and watching it reminds me more of someone reading out of his self-written of a textbook regarding video game mechanics. Also, I'm still sour on them for the infamous *narrative* episode. I don't really like arguments in internet videos were the facts aren't checked in general, though.
  3. In other news Ron Gilbert left Double Fine.

  5. No, it wasn't. At least not the finetuning which did make quite a difference, especially in the gunplay outside of Vats. I'm not saying it was great though, but thats in how the system is build up. If I'm *disingenious* for saying that, so be it.
  6. New Vegas gameplay was better than F3's.
  7. ? How did this project jump the KS bandwagon too early? Did the last year suddenly vanish? I mean there are some problems with this project that can be called out but *graphics from 2006* and *jumping KS bandwagon too early* is a bit.... well...

  11. I'm not seeing many publishers willing to sign PC only for a South Park-sized project, tbh, though the PC market is a lot healthier and getting a lot of attention, and I can see Obsidian getting the chance to do more stuff that previously might not have been as financially viable. True, but stranger things have happened But on a more serious note. I'm thinking (okay throwing a wild guess) that this new project is Deus Ex: Human Defiance. Some finnish site is reporting that both the internal teams at Eidos Montreal are working on something else, so who would Square-Enix turn to make a sequel(?) to their hit game... Would also make some sense why team was buying blueprints Hmmh.. Didn't someone from Obsidian tweet last year that they were visiting Eidos Montreal? Or maybe I remember wrong. Or Deus Ex: Human Defiance will be Deus Ex the Movie and this is something completely different which is quite possible. I think Josh and Feargus were visiting Eidos Montreal. Was nearly 2 years ago. I really doubt its Square for multiple reasons. A big one that they lost their contact at Square when he left SQE.
  12. How many projects can a single man work before he gets burnt out? Doesn't the man already have Wasteland 2 and P:E on his plate? Sure, but on the other hand, Wasteland 2 is out this Fall, and PE is another year. Torment: Tides of Numenera won't be out until Holiday season 2014, at the very earliest, my bet would be on Spring 2015. So I don't think him burning out will be too much of an issue. Yeah, but they will have the design/writing stuff wrapped up earlier. What's preventing Avellone is full concentration on Eternity. His involvement in Torment would probably be smaller than what he did for W2.
  13. Well, I wouldn't say that's the *rest*. That's still only a smaller part of the PS:T development team and doesn't include any of the Leads (Colin himself only joined after his game got cancelled). And Avellone WAS the biggest part on the design/writing side of that game. It's still a really good team from what we've heard so far and the game is certainly composed of people that can make the *franchise* proud. People shouldn't worry. You're giving Kevin Saunders not enough credit there by the way. Aside from being a producer he was also the Lead Designer of MOTB .
  14. Don't know if it has been mentioned yet, since I've been sick for a few days. But our hiring manager is back according to Linkedin

  17. More to 1, at least in full production. The build is still pre-alpha according to Davis. Also, I think someone pointed out that there seems to be a good mode or something on in the video with the health jumping back to 100.
  18. No, thats other footage, but I know what you mean.

  20. At least some of the voice acting seems to be placeholder (Especially the Alien's screams)
  21. They actually DO have an inhouse motion capture studio. Though, I can imagine there still being several costs associated with it. Not to mention how big would the benefit even be for P:E considering its perspective. Offer's great though.
