If Obsidian + Kickstarter = ?
PoetAndMadman commented on Chris Avellone's blog entry in Chris Avellone's Blog
So about setting, I would also like to add that medieval europe is fantastic idea! Would also like to see tactical turn based rpg set in the Old West and XVII/XVIII century europe inspired fantasy setting, with a lot of political intrigue, black magic and witchcraft. Firefly'esque RPG, with similar design goals as original Fallout games would also be quite cool (A lot of focus on sidequests, C&C, 2d exploration, planets similar to locations on fallout's world map. Would be also nice to have some elements from kotor - your own spacecraft, crew etc, party based combat system but not in real time of course) -

Turn Based isometric RPG with mechanics similar to Fallout, but set in original setting (Defiance?) and with much deeper planescape-like story and characters. I would also love some spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate series (which would probably be more successfull). -

I remember the interview where Feargus said that there's still a market for Infinity Engine-like RPGs. They really should make this happen! -
Over 600k in less than a day! that IS amazing. I would really love to donate for some turnbased RPG made by Avellone and Cain. Or something Baldur's Gate-like.

But there's also another Secret Project, rumored to be a new IP.

Why would he be interested in European languages? (it would be super awesome to have medieval RPG made by Josh ). I also think he tries to tell us something. -

It seems last week Sawyer was visiting Square Enix Europe(?) Funcrocing from his twitter: I would love if the meaning of the sentence : "The direct result of both Vegas and DS3" was "a huge open world RPG running on Onyx and published by Squeenix." Any ideas when can we expec some real news about North Carolina? -
??? they do have it with expansion pack Incubation on GoG Yikes, thanks! I just used the search field and it didn't pop up. Silly me. No problem I also love this game, it was so much fun in hot seat.

What's the game in the background? Is it something Onyx based, because it looks quite similar to Dungeon Siege 3. -

Tim Cain joins Obsidian Entertainment!

I wonder if that wouldn't ruin the point of hiding it Good point, so you will have to believe it, he is indeed working for Obsidian now as a senior programmer. I guess the next Fallout made by Obsidian, if there will be any, will be even more Fallouty than New Vegas. :D I also hope that Tim will be doing some design work, besides programming. -

8/10 in the biggest magazine in Poland - CD-Action
-
gry-online.pl - 8/10 The reviewer is very positive about the game, likes it very much, loves art direction and is satisfied with bigger amount of complexity than in other Hack'n'Slashes, he also thinks that the story is much better than in Dragon Age series.

Early Impressions Thread
PoetAndMadman replied to Dan_CW's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
God damn my lack of time, I would really like to play through the full version, but I will have to wait a month or two.. Anyway, thanks for your impressions guys! -
gram.pl - 7,5/10 - They say that the engine is great, controls are also great when using controller, the combat is good but the game itself is repetitive, short and overall mediocre (I don't get how mediocre game can get 7,5 score but whatever..)

PC Controls Discussion
PoetAndMadman replied to moarage's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
You are able to do it, as well as rotating it left and right, by holding the middle mouse button. I'm really shocked by the amount of people complaining about the game, the game has very good gameplay and the story seems promising. Not to mention the fact that it is rather suprising that "the most critically aclaimed screensaver ever" has so many fans. But "de gustibus non est disputandum" and I can understand some of their dissapointment, I would also kill for another isometric Fallout.
