  12. Eh, I don't know. "This is the 29th day of the fourth month in the year 2018" does seem to flow better and in a more informative manner than "It's the year 2018, the fourth month and its day 29" And considering the metric system was invented by a French Priest, and pushed into adoption by the French Revolution, it works quite well.
