  1. "There is nothing historically accurate about this film, it's just a festival for bisexuals."
  2. Its been ages since I've done a proper City SImulator, so I snagged a copy of Cities Skylines while it was cheap and have started poking a bit at establishing a new community.... Then I noticed it's a Paradox published game, and realised why it has so many DLC available.
  3. Just to add to that if you only saw the pictures and not the video...
  4. Just to make a lot of the regulars feel that age...
  5. Now we wait for the conspiracy theory that it was all secretly edged on by Wall Street entities in an attempt to cause the moderators of WallStreetBets to implode in just such a way.....
  6. Is this when we start asking the IRS if we can get itemised receipts for how they used the tax money?
  7. The one description for Braveheart I've always loved was along the lines of: "Trying to get Americans to understand that Braveheart as a historical film is basically pointing out that if I grabbed a bunch of people from Canada, dressed them in Star Trek uniforms, gave them Native American weapons, then shot a film of them battling outside a Taco Bell in Miami, and considered it an accurate representation of Washington 's Battle of Trenton."
  8. Condolences Azdeus. I had the fun on Friday afternoon of discovering water pouring down from the kitchen ceiling. Went up and found that for some reason the hot tap on the bath had sheared off the pipe, and water was pumping out by a large volume. Then finding out all the stop****s around the bath have locked up solid. Yesterday and today have been bouncing between dealing with a few things and turning the water off outside the house completely while fixing it all with my father.
  9. Heh, I always remember someones anecdote, where he described watching Braveheart with a friend who happened to be a historian specialising in Scottish History. The phrasing he used was "The film was an adventure. But sitting next to a guy who basically had one hand on all the history books and his increasingly indignant commentary was so much more of an adventure."
  10. From what's been said, it's more been part of them going through and re-positioning the camera for some of the shots, and they were doing that to cover weird things from the FemShep side.
  11. Made it into season 4 of BtVS in my re-watch. Still being amused by spotting the likes of Wentworth Miller, Pedro Pascal, etc as background students / victims / monster lackies.
  12. For that general geek interest: https://www.ranker.com/list/reasons-to-watch-babylon-5/dave-schilling
