Well, the problem is that democracy blows for minorities. So if the industry continues to risk nothing and perpetuate successful practices until they're spent we are going to be seeing a lot of this. I don't know your opinion but myself I think that games have dropped in quality since 2009, partly due to many failed business practices that have ended up stagnating the industry. This new "story" mode is akin to (quoting an earlier post) a coloring book that comes already finished. You take the gameplay out of a game and you're left with nothing. But none of this comes as a surprise since for a while now I've suspected that BW was going to begin doing the Western equivalent of visual novels, a "game" with no or little gameplay and false choices (the major ones being who's sex scene you get). Because apparently that's what their audience wants, romanceable everything, a guaranteed win, and story climaxes without buildup.

I've been wanting to read something like that for a while. Is it objective or is it another one of those pop psychology applied to gaming like when they put all MMO player into 4 neat categories?

Thanks I needed a confirmation. BTW anyone knows if Jeniffer "Hamburger" Helper has anything to do with this new feature? IIRC she was the one that started this fire back with DA2.

No it's a selling point like electrolytes in Gatorade, it doesn't do anything that water doesn't but the placebo effects works wonders. I wonder how they will handle the automatic responses? It just makes me think that C&C its not going to be the selling point of this game. I mean, will the guy who chooses to skip the story will automatically get the best result? Edit: NVM, I just remembered that you can't really lose or make a wrong choice in ME...Unless you really work hard it.

Well the army does tend to be accommodating in order to boost numbers, I guess the reasoning behind it is that there is a higher chance of women joining if the don't look like Butch Cassidy when they get back. Personally I love girls that can pull off short hair and a spunky personality. On BW new feature: it inspires me to try a new product, pre-finished coloring books. Just flip the pages and enjoy the pictures without ever having to spend hours coloring. It's the new thing I'll tell ya!

Stay classy Obsidian

Saw these guys on the Colbert Report, they're pretty good so I thought I'd share

A pig in your living room is more startling than a cobra in the forest. Doesn't make it more serious a threat. You obviously never had a pig on your living room. You've obviously never seen my living room. Touche BTW who was the pig in the metaphor?

You mean Jade Empire: The MMO?

I would have thought they would had been on board since ME2 which is highly reminiscent of GOW but then again I've met the GOW crowd and they're not particularly smart, or polite. That sounds strangely familiar... Oh, right.

Woah, Bio/EA now are prostituting themselves to CliffyB and the angry nerd mob? Whowudhavethoughtdat? The guy who made GOW likes a GOW clone. Who would've thought?

Rewatched Papillon and at the risk of sounding like a snob, they don't make good movies like that anymore. It was good too, because I needed something to wash out the aftertaste that Priest left.

Coming back from school we ran into the trick or treaters. Should've ran them over

Well them maybe you're particularly privileged or i'm destitute, because my costs have been heavy when it comes to doctors. I still argue that there is no logic to leave medical care in the hands of private entities with little oversight, specially in a democracy. Haven't you played Resident Evil? Because of competition and powerful entities that monopolize their fields great ideas have been lost. Remember Tesla? Quite frankly, competition breeds corruption which is the rule of the free market these days it seems. I don't feel that such an important service such as medicine should be left in the hands of corporations without transparency or an oversight committee (although I don't trust those either) and since any fault by them is going to eventually reflect on the government, then the government should be responsible for what we hold them accountable for. After all we elect officials to protect our interests but we have no voice on the practices of corporations.

Go to the wiki and find the super easy cheap way to beat him, there's no shame in it. Quite frankly I've never have beat the guy without it.

I blame Ashton Kutcher's acting chops.

No, I don't expect you to go to England for treatment. Cuba is a lot closer. The point of this thread its to discuss alternative models for the British system, because it doesn't work. But the American system is far from perfect, so I don't consider it a proper alternative. Also, short of a grave case there isn't a need for a specialist. Specialists I like for rare and grave cases, not to tell me that I've got the common cold. Sorry that I didn't make this clear in my post THE ALTRUISTIC THIRD WORLD COUNTRY DEVELOPS ITS OWN DAMN DRUGS BECAUSE OF THE FREAKING EMBARGO There you go. Had a similar experience with kidney stones, except that I laughed my ass off when after half an hour of waiting; during which I was sweating cold, pale, in pain, and the one instance where I went to the bathroom was to vomit, the first thing that they as me as soon as I get through the doors into the ER was an urine sample. This is actually another issue, that because of the cost of medical care people are putting off visits making what could be an easy treatment a hospitalization. This is a matter where I believe in socialization, the other one being education. This is the Internet, it is meant for arguing. @GD: I went from 06 to 09, so unless you're superfamous and have your pics on the walls I don't think I've seen you. Still, kind of cool. We're probably six degrees of separation from each other. BTW some of coolest teachers I've had were in MDC

You seem awfully defensive, have I touched a nerve? Good, that's an expensive surgery. I'm sorry, but weren't you the one who went to 3 different doctors over the period of a month? Which if you had been in real danger it may have been too late to properly deal with it. I don't know why you think that a month timeframe is a short time. Consumer market doesn't work for healthcare, because when you need healthcare you really need healthcare. I find the fact that someone can look at me; pretend they are doing me a favor, while they're making me bleed money on medication to which there aren't viable alternatives, disgusting. I'll tell you what the alternative for us is, that if possible we get asthma medication for my grandmother from my old third world country that has socialized medicine and somehow still manages to produce the same medication and sell it at a lower cost. The "business" of saving people is an opportunistic scheme akin to watching a man dying thirst and charging him for all he has, while driving a truck loaded with a tank full of water. They're constantly putting prices on the lives of people and on the quality of their lives and you expect me to believe they're good?
-
Well I won't hold it against you if you like being bounced around because of bureaucracy all while paying money to have 3 guys tell you what 1 guy in 1 visit could had easily told you.
-
You went to MDCC? Cool, now there is an up chance that i've bumped into you in real life.

It's been a while since I ate a horse, maybe I should try to get some. I've been missing the taste for a while now.

So, up next Shepard Legos'? First of all neither ME or DA have reached the same iconic status as Star Wars; second of all can you honestly say that the quality of a series doesn't suffer when they "adapt to change"? 20 years later and Lucas is still trying to squeeze the juice of his franchise, coming up the very interesting debates of Greedo shot first or CGI added Ewoks in every scene. So yeah, BW can start doing games for mobile phone and cross platform events. After all what does another series becoming a corporate enterprise changes?
-
So they're going to over-franchise and come up with weird ports of their games. Talk about new lows.
