  1. You might find that to be somewhat common in military toilets... Why? Last time I looked, aircraft carriers were not capable of even atmospheric flight. Quick fix: play a Vanguard. Seriously though, sometimes I have that "issue" myself, with the Claymore. But in my case it's simply over-aggressive behaviour mixed with carelessness, as I simply forget to reload. Are you certain you have a round chambered when that happens? Happens occasionally, especially with the sniper rifle. There is no initial round chambered, so when you try to fire, the reload sequence occurs. Never seen it happen with a round chambered, only after I've emptied my clips for it at least once.
  2. Kasumi was discussed, the Liara DLC wasn't. Oh, was the Bio forums ~2 weeks ago, then.
  3. That joke was original when I heard it for the first time... 2 months ago. Didn't we go over the DLC finds already? Or was it just one of those Thane moments I seem to get these days? If they do some kind of comic-conclusion DLC, I tip my hat to them for some very creative cross-promoting.
  4. All I can say that with console controls, you get to REALLY feel the overabundance of combat. And the Tower, with strategically placed fallen bookshelves forcing you to take the long way around on every level, feels even more of a cheap stretch-out than the Deep Roads. Which, as mentioned, you can do in pieces to save some of your sanity.
  5. This seems to say that the net connection is still required. Net connection in name only! They went from Westwood to 'Ncino.
  6. And I could say that the reason I don't wake up to a different super model every day is because I find them boring.
  7. I get this warm and fuzzy feeling by doing it But now you can let your guard down, I'm done for the day. That's what Zevran said, too.
  8. I think that's your grey warden taint. The whole darkspawn-sense. Or the Survival skill.
  9. I suspect the PS3 has an inferior attach rate. AFAIK, a lot of people are buying it because its the best blu-ray player on the market, they won't be gobbling up games at the rate the fauxhawk fratboy x360rs do. Except that now a days the PS3 299 bundle is overall a better deal than Xbox for the same price http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/productDet...aspx?sku=020315 vs http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/productDet...aspx?sku=020321 And on the ps3 for 50 bucks more you get double the HD space. Honestly I've been noticing the Wii has the lowest attach rate, because most people will buy it after seeing it at a friends place, then take it home and find that they NEVER use it, so they bring it back and sell it to us. Not exactly sure what the "except" does there in view of my quote, especially as nothing you're saying seems to relate to my suspicion that the amount of blu-ray player buyers among PS3 purchasers might lessen the games/console ratio ("attach rate") considerably in comparison to the x360. I'll be the first to say that the "more expensive" PS3 is anything but. I mean, I own two consoles, a PS3 and the "Mass Effect Machine"
  10. Okay, the one you can see at the start isn't exactly at the end, but he's at least 3/4 of the way across the area. I've never stuck around in that area long enough to see how long the drones keep spawning. On Insanity, when I enter that area, I'm immediately engaged by one (1) Geth Prime, with subsequent ones spawning occasionally along with drones on the way to Kal'Reegar. I hope I was a bit more unambiguous this time?

  12. Completely forgot about those ones. The area right after talking with Tali right? Has a geth prime at the end? Yes, except on Insanity at least, there's more than one geth prime, and not just at the end. If not exactly endless, they certainly seemed that way.
  13. Definitely didn't take longer for me, when BOTH games were installed on the HD. I suspect this is the reason for the difference.
  14. Oh, we remember it, occasionally play it, too. Just don't place it on a pedestal - as much as considering a game to be in the top 3 games I have ever played is not placing it on a pedestal.
  15. WTF?! 1) Who died and made you moderator? New moderators are made only when one of the current mods die and point out the new moderator beyond the grave? This forum means business That is the way it has always been...
  16. It wouldn't be the first time publishers cooperate. Or IPs get sold.
  17. WTF?! 1) Who died and made you moderator? 2) Square Enix has been getting a silk-gloved treatment for this forum. If anything, Canadians would have a right to complain about their treatment... And Eastern Seaboard Americans.
  18. Square Enix got it's furry pawns on it, so expect the worst. They are just publishers, don't scare me like that. For a minute I thought you meant SE bought Gas Powered Games. The thought of a thousand gender benders vs a thousand lolitas appeared and almost broke my fragile mind. Let's see what they do to Deus Ex 3.
  19. I think there's a linguistic miscommunication here. There's researching Ilos, you know, finding out about the place, and there's doing research (physically) on Ilos. This is, obviously, the former. Archaeologists do both. For the record.
  20. Well, it was a top-secret research facility that even the Reapers missed...
  21. I got a better one: 106~ years old Liara has done research on Ilos, even though it's relay was lost for centuries/millennia. And somehow completely missed everything that was there. Secondary sources. Honestly, guys, there are problems and plot holes in this game, you don't have to constantly try to make up ones that don't exist.
  22. It's in a different system within the Hawking Eta cluster. ME1 had just Century with the aforementioned Klendagon, ME2 has a total of 4 systems, including the new one, Thorne, with the derelict reaper. It's amazing what 10 seconds at the mass effect wiki can tell you.
  23. I'm a friend of Sarah Connor^H^H^H^H^H^H Miranda Lawson. I was told she was here. Could I see her please? I've got this nagging feeling from the first ME novel that Sovereign is the Leviathan of Dis. I should go back and check it, but unfortunately I'm not jaded enough yet to keep that kind of stuff at work. Eventually, maybe, or when I get home today, whichever happens first.
  24. Just finished playing the game a second time last night, and perhaps I'm mistaken but that's how it looked to me. That is the common interpretation. Considering that he I'm not exactly sure in what other ways that could be interpreted.
  25. jag basically said it, but the key here is that humans were isolated, while the other races had access to mass accelerator technology. Humans weren't technologically backward, they were already researching FTL technology as it was etc., but they just lacked access to Mass Relays. That's the key difference between humans and other races, humans joined the galactic community at a significantly higher state of technological advancement than the others.
