Can't even say how much I love this game. Second save since I lost my first one and logged out tonight at 451 days in the back yard. I'm hopelessly addicted to exploring and building massive structures. Little houses by the rose logs. Massive 420 tribute monument at the upper pond overlooking the pond. Massive 43 level tower in work to get up and build my second monument above the hedges. And working on my massive mansion on the other side of the pond next to the flowers with a complete servant quarters. That being said. I would love it if it didn't take me 30 seconds to snap together to complete a blueprint. And there seems to be a certain ground level across the board to where if you cut something down it will never grow back again. I first noticed when building the tower by the hedges. I cleared out all the grass almost all the way to the 2 wolf spider spawns. And while over on the other side of the pond next to the flowers. I picked that place to build my log mansion because there was an abundance of husky weeds. After cutting them all down only half ever came back. (But that didn't stop me lol) Again amazing game and none of this will prevent me from keeping going. I mainly care about getting things to snap together faster for us big litte builders out there.

Grass not re-spawning ?
WingmanOfLife replied to Monkeybiscuits's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This happend to me also. Obsidian hasn't said anything but I think they reworked it to where if you cut anything down to close to the water (eastern flooded area) it won't grow back. Even if you leave the stump. I am building right next to the garden shovle and have the same issue. The grass on the little hills there grow back but nothing else.(sometimes I have floating water droplets where grass was) It starts to grow back kinda close to the 2 wolf spider spawns. Also noticed a large patch of clovers by the bird bath never grew back. And i chopped a Dandy Lion on what is now Rash Island that never grew back. (Stump was left) -
Patch 0.2.1 has been Released

Man I'm right there with you. Anything west of the machine and my game starts to lag so hard. The ant hill is impossible to even get close to let alone in unless im walking at a crawling speed. But when I tried that it didn't like me swinging my mallet and crashed my game. After that I wasn't able to load up any of my auto saves and my last 2 hard saves. ( would go from loading screen to Xbox main menu) had to load up a save that lost me 5 days of in game progress. But hey. At least I was able to do that. The massive ant overpopulation has made most of the map un playable for me. I hope they get it fixed for us. -

ANT HILL AND ANTS STILL BROKEN
WingmanOfLife replied to Steve616's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm having the same issue. My game completely locks up before I even make it in the hill to do any killing -
I'm coming up on my year anniversary of being in the backyard and now I can't even go anywhere near the ant hill with out the game locking up due to the massive overpopulation of the ant colony. Pretty much anywhere I go that has more then 4 ants in a small area and my game starts to really lag till I kill them. Im able to deal with it everywhere else in the backyard but the ant hill. As soon as i get close it tottaly locks up and I can't move. Took me 15 minutes just to turn around and get out of the infected area. Please please please rework the ant code or prefered limit the amount of ants at a time in game. It seems like they have continued to populata this entire year. I just want the valuable quarts in them hills.

am I the only one having this issue? I've chopped down the grass and Dandy lions (right next to bombard Beatles) near the garden shovle by hedges in the reworked flooded are all the way to Yoked Girth head and none of it is growing back. It's been more then 3 weeks in game time. Even tried to spend a week over by pond to see if that helped. Nothing is working and it's putting a damper on my building.

Necessities for the game
WingmanOfLife replied to Erica C Masters's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I just look up and use the landmarks ( tree, house, hedge and so on) to find my way around. Once you know those and have spent enough time in the yard you won't be getting lost much more.
