  1. Keep looking, then... there are a lot of quests that are quite different from what you describe. But yes, I'm done with Oblivion myself. I only fire it up if I want to mess around with Morroblivion a bit.
  2. "In memory of: Scion of Kushiel" Jacqueline Carey fan?
  3. Too late, Bethesda, I already made it to level 30. But I'll play it just to see how goofy it is.
  4. Are you sure you have the *latest* drivers for your video card? Latest version of OpenGL should come with it..
  5. You learn it when you return to Dantooine after finishing all planets.
  6. Yes, in the beginning of G3 you arrive with the guys you picked up in previous Gothics, like Gorn & Diego.
  7. Bethesda didn't buy them, Zenimax Media did, making Bethesda & ID sister companies. ID continues to develop & publish their own games.
  8. *Well, Shien gives +5 blaster deflection and combined with the Blaster Defense feats you'll rarely get hit by blaster fire. *How can Kreia dual wield once she loses a hand? Is that a mod? I usually let Mira dual-wield blasters the entire game - in the end she does more damage than with a double-bladed lightsaber with the best blasters & upgrades. Visas I train as single-bladed Jedi/Dark Jedi & Handmaiden I give a double-bladed lightsaber. *What Galen Marek achieved is a bit over-the-top, really... or maybe Sidious & Vader just sucked. Both Jedi & Sith were stronger in the past. Compare Naga Sadow or Tulak Hord with Darth Sidious...
  9. Any photo editor can do that, even Microsoft Paint.
  10. Is this game going to be like Borderlands? I've looked up some trailers and they showed only racing...
  11. I can guess a lot of copies would be returned to store after the Xbawksers repeatedly getting their asses handed to them by even a tiny bloatfly.
  12. I have no idea whether luck influences random encounters. Of all characters I've played, I've only had the alien ship crashing once the first time I played the game and that character only had mediocre luck... I did meet Uncle Leo each time, though. First time I played the game I promptly ran into a guy called Sam Warrick. Killed him which netted me leather armor + sniper rifle right out of the vault. Haven't seen that guy again in other playthroughs... it's of course possible that those guys get killed by wasteland critters.
  13. Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is a Fantasy FPS that use the Source engine and came out in the same year in Oblivion I believe. The combat & levels are great, the story is kind of a follow-up to the one of Heroes of Might & Magic V. Gothic 3 is a open-world RPG like Oblivion. The game works with several factions one does quests for and there's a reputation system that determines how the factions react to you. I was playing it until a couple of weeks back, but I put it on hold since I got a bit bored with the quests which are all of the same 'fetch/kill' type (even the main quests).
  14. *5 minutes before ending credits roll* "So, Spectre...Do you want to die?" - What? - If that is what it takes, yes... - Try me, you scum! - [Charm] You look hot in that jumpsuit. - [intimidate] Do you?
  15. I downloaded the new Witcher patch and am playing the fan-made custom adventures.
  16. The girl is 16-year old Mayora Tavares, Brazil's youngest politician.
  17. "Commander" Shepard seems the most unmilitary person in the military ever when one goes down the renegate route. Insulting superiors, total disregard for civilian casualties & officers under his/her command, fraternization, putting guns into people's faces... and now pushing uncooperative people through windows. It's all so over-the-top.
  18. Agreed about the swashbuckler build, I played a swashbuckler/rogue in SoZ and the game was very fun to play with Bluff/Taunt/diplomacy maxed out.. I didn't pick ranger levels since the one I took along in Samarlong was pretty good. AC shouldn't be a problem once one can make +5 mithril breastplate & +5 cloak of deflection. With improved two-weapon defense it should be at least equal to AC of a stud wearing heavy armor. In MOTB one can ultimately make +8 armor & cloak but it isn't really necessary.
  19. As with Arena, getting out of the first dungeon without reloading ten times is quite a feat... it's easy to run into a pack of goblins just after your weapon broke. There's no minimap in Daggerfall, and them dungeons are all huge labyrinths. It's said that even lead designer Ken Rolston couldn't get out of the starting dungeon without dying several times.
  20. They should make Battlespire and Redguard available for download. Those games are impossible to find nowadays, but are awesome.
  21. It reminded me of the one in Dark Messiah
