The only collector's edition I have is from Myst III: Exile, but maybe I'll get the one from Dragon Age provided the game is epic enough.

Age of Wonders: Excellent turn-based fantasy strategy game featuring a good, Tolkienesque story with 6 different endings & great combat. In fact it's the only strategy game I like besides the Dune series.

I don't know about a pure ranger, but combined with melee or magic ranged seems to be alright. There aren't many good bows in random loot compared to swords... but there's a quest reward bow that's probably the best in the entire game.

Well, I managed to 'fix' the problem and continue playing. Went into the Broken Valley proper at level 7 & cheesed my way into Lovis' Tower... groups of skeleton archers/mages are not funny for a melee-based character - I had to take them all out with the bow. The quests & especially random encounters in this game are amazing - I found some guy trapped in a hole somewhere who gave me an awesome bow when I did what he wanted. Also the music is fantastic.

Is (s)he romanceable? If it's really a fish, the mating could be interesting.

A Sentinel that focuses on stealth and goes Watchman later on, can simply cloak-run (with appropriate feat) past everything on Malachor. Very entertaining.

Well, so-called "battle mages" wear heavy armor, don't they? That said, the 'mage origin' seems pretty meh. I'm torn between Dalish elf rogue & City elf rogue. City Elf seems very alluring, though, with a human noble claiming 'droit de seigneur' and subsequently burning his hands on a damsel-in-distress that suddenly grows fangs.

OK, so the game is ace but I seem to have hit a brick wall... I'm level 6 and when I try to return to the village after leaving a dungeon the game crashes at some point and gives a "-pure virtual function call" C++ error or something in the like... I fear a corrupted save game. Problem is only other save game I have left is one from the start of the game. It seems this started to happen after Vista did a system update... I also can't seem to find where the heck Vista stored the Divinity save games. Grrr!

Drakan: Order of the Flame: Chicks + dragons = kewl. Game has a ridiculously derivative plot & hilariously bad voice-acting, but quite an uncharacteristic ending for a dark heroic fantasy game.

In Drakan, the dragon started with a fire attack but would gain poison, ice, lightning & lava attacks as the game progressed. It was also possible to attack ground enemies - getting off your dragon and luring enemies towards him was a sure & entertaining way to win battles.

How's the dragon combat in the game? Something like in Drakan: Order of the Flame? I wasn't.
