  1. W3 should've dropped all pretense of being a roll playing game and needed either Revengeance combat system focused on parrying/countering OR AssCreed combat. Yes, yes, in both games combat was generally a breeze, but that's the point. Geralt is a seasoned monster slayer, outside of boss creatures nothing should pose a challenge. AssCreed games actually made the protagonist feel powerful, while in W3 common bandits can parry Geralt's sword strokes. Also, I really wish Geralt could actually climb.
  2. I don't think I've been able to parry even one monster strike. Doesn't work against humans with two-handed weapons either.
  3. Quen active shield + Axii puppet mode is kind of... OP?
  4. I'm glad there's at least a large bestiary again, likely even bigger than TW1.
  5. Why were Witchers wiped out again? Seems incredibly dumb considering how many packs of nekkers, drowners and worse are right next to villages. And they even respawn! Being a peasant in Witcher setting is absolutely dreadful. Then again, even random bandits can parry the sword strikes of a supposed master swordsman like Geralt. If they would roll they'd be able to take out the monsters too.
  6. Fought some random level 9 bandits as level 4 Geralt, felt like cutting down trees and had to parry and roll a lot. Then some Nilfgaard patrol passed and killed the bandits in one hit. gg, legendary White Wolf, greatest swordsman in the North.
  7. Obsidian should just remove combat from all their future games. Make episodic games like Life is strange.
  8. I hate level requirements on items. Fight diagram for cool new sword/item -> lol I need to wait 20 levels to use it. Great way to kill exploration even more.
  9. I think so, but it's a level 16 area..
  10. Velen map is really big, but outside locations marked by '?' there's really nothing interesting to find. And even the marked locations are most of the time chests guarded by monsters. Unlike for instance Skyrim where there were a lot of interesting unmarked locations.
  11. srsly though, Gwent is fun. CDPR should've just made a card game with b00bies.
  12. It's the most inclusive game in the market right now. Many beautiful powerful women while the ugly peasant ones get face-slammed.
  13. They're spoiled daddy's girls playing with toys. Cute though.
  14. Yennefer & Cirilla beautiful, all the rest are potatoface. EDIT: lol
  15. There must be some hidden statistics on Geralt. In starting area after gaining a level or two I started to oneshot level 5 wolves and generic deserters with Igni and my sword, even though I hadn't activated abilities yet. Maybe damage done and received scales according to difference in level between Geralt and enemies. D:OS had the same and it was lame.
  16. I laughed when one of the women in W3 got face-slammed by another woman. Aunt Tina misogyny.
  17. I found a diagram somewhere for a unique silver sword and can actually craft it... but it's level 13.
  18. It's striking how schizophrenic TW3 is as a game. You have a large open world, but CDPR does everything in their power to force the player to focus on the main quest by having much higher level monsters everywhere. Which would be alright if it were like Gothic but you aren't even rewarded for killing them unless you like random crafting junk and repairing your weapons every ten minutes. Basically you develop Geralt by completing main quests. Even sidequests give at most 25 xp (bizarrely enough the same amount as a succesful Axii check during dialogue). The only good reward for exploration are the magic runestones that give ability points. It's understandable CDPR made TW3 open world considering their direct competition made one but nobody would've objected against areas more similar to TW1 and 2.
  19. Potato face Triss doesn't stand a chance against Yen.
  20. Once you left White Orchard, I don't think you can ever return.
