I am rewatching the Spartacus tv show. Just as a few years ago, I'm 100% sure this show was made for a specific male audience, if you get what I mean. I mean, sure there are naked women and such, but it's dwarfed in comparison to the amount of oiled, bare chested muscle dudes brawling with each other. The CGI didn't age that well, imo, but it's still watchable.

I mean, I guess it all comes down to how much these things would affect you. I probably wouldn't care all too much either, except for the initial "huh, oh wow." Then live goes on, because I am hungry and have to pay rent.

Is anyone still caring about game journalism? I haven't checked out game reviews in years.

It's just a pattern that everyone should be able to recognize. Don't want to go into detail on this, because this isn't the politics thread, so I just stop now. Other than that I kept watching Big Mouth. Turns out season 2 was a lot better than the first one. Also much less gross. Binge watched season 3 and 4 right after and it was good too. They deal with lots of valid teenager issues and they do it in pretty good ways, imo.

All just because of that stupid $GME. Man people lost lots of money over this. Some spend more than they could afford, because "it is a safe bet" ... and now some sort of cult formed around it and people are *still* buying into this garbage. It's unbelievable.

The Mass Effect multiplayer modes (was there more than one?) were never good anyways. I played it a bit, but lost interest quickly. Also had loot crates which you could buy with money, so no thanks.

I never liked Miranda. The ass was really the only thing going for her.

Finished Gantz yesterday. It's lame and boring. Last 4 episodes I started skipping forward, because I couldn't bear seeing everyone standing around anymore. The people act so stupid and slow, it makes me want to bang my head against the wall. /Edit: Also the ending is lame as hell. /Edit: I just realized we have a dedicated weeb thread now.

I started watching Gantz on Netflix, because it will be gone at the end of the month. Generally I like the idea and theme, but man is that show slow. At times I got really angry, because everyone is just standing around for minutes and nothing happens at all. Will force myself through the rest of it, because there are only a few episodes left, but so far my opinion is ... meh.

It's just such a pain. This is where FNV really shines, imo. The quests are most of the time limited to a small area and if they send you somewhere else, then always with logic behind it. TES games (edit: and Bethsoft games in general) in contrast will send you to a stupid cave at the end of the world "just because". An example from house Hlaalu in Morrowind: Talk to quest giver in Vivec, he sends me to Caldera. The dude in Caldera will send me to Vivec. Once I am in Vivec, the guy will seriously send me back to Caldera. AND WHEN I AM BACK IN CALDERA, THIS GOD DAMN **** SENDS BE BACK TO VIVEC. And all I did in this questline was to click through dialog. Nothing else. It goes on like that ... Stupid quest design like this is the reason why we need god damn fast travel in every open world game now... because designers can't be arsed to come up with ideas that don't waste your time.

Then that means Life is Strange probably took inspiration from it. In any case, Erased was a great watch and I want more of such quality.
