  1. Disabling the markers wouldn't solve the problem. Just making it even more tedious. :> I am forcing myself now to ignore the bonecharms, etc. because I don't really need them anymore for my character. In the beginning it is quite annoying, though, as you kinda need to get as much as possible for the powers (runes). Thinking about buying that new game already... didn't even finished Dishonored 2 yet, tho.
  2. I have exactly the same feelings about it. I wouldn't care much if not for the heart item and all the dots on the screen, but this way.. I just can't ignore it and it feels like missing out, even though most of that stuff (except for the runes) has no actual influence on me. It didn't bother me in the new Deus Ex games, because here you really have to explore on your own if you like to find all the praxis kits. Also Deus Ex doesn't rub in your face that you only found 1000 of 3000 money. Guess these statistics are a remnant of the Thief gameplay. I find them adding a sense of tediousness to the game.
  3. Is that the same rumor from ages ago or is it based on anything credible now?
  4. Dishonored 2 is a pretty cool game. If it just wouldn't have such a bad performance... it's the first game my pc can't handle to the max, and even with reduced settings (which don't look much worse), it has times where the fps are going down. Also just noticed that this new thing coses 30 bucks because it's a standalone game. Always thought it was a dlc...
  5. My secondary monitor is starting to die. Takes minutes now until the screen is visible. Damn, this thing is so many years old now... but I don't want to buy a new one.
  6. And it doesn't even look good.
  7. Looks pretty lame, imo. Also, except for the graphics, you get exactly the same gameplay in ArmA3 with mods. Then there's also vehicles and planes and artillery and...
  8. Different playstyle, I guess. I got so used to "modern" RTS that I really failed at the original Red Alert now. On the other hand, replaying the old Red Alert made me realize how... kind of... simple the game actually is. You build as many units as possible, then walz over the enemy. Rinse and repeat.
  9. Haha, my first thought about that screencap actually was "I bet it's fake". /Edit: I think Rock of Ages would have been really good if they hadn't added this horrible blonde girl popmusic part.
  10. Or shortly before, to generate hype?
  11. I really liked RDR, but it's really the same as with the other GTA games... I find the world to be stiff and unresponsive, and therefore very boring after a while. I end up slogging from one place to the other just to see the next cutscene. Also, if I remember right, the amount of content to the end of the game always gets more and more shallow, with longer travel times instead. Haven't played GTA5, but I somehow doubt it is much different, since all the other games were like that?
  12. Yes, it's not perfect, but I liked it quite a lot anyway. Somewhat reminded me a lot of the old Outer Limits, which I liked as well.
  13. PS4 and Xbone only. :/ Well, but that was to be expected.
  14. To me this always sounded a bit like Allahu Akbar. Not much difference, tbh.
  15. I don't get why nobody seems to write about P.K. **** tv show Electric Dreams. I've just watched the first two episodes and it was really good. Shouldn't there be like... way more talk about it on the internet?
  16. I hereby proclaim this to be the nation of Lexxonia, and you all offend me.
  17. According to some folks, Germany is pretty much Africa now.
  18. Reminds me of a few years ago when we had a wild brown bear on the lose. There was a huge media panic and they just couldn't find and catch the bear. There was lots of back and forth until the decision was made to shoot the bear. Suddenly - what a great coincidence - like an hour later, they were able to find and kill the bear. Made me so angry, someone pretty much just wanted to shoot a bear. It was impossible to prevent.
  19. I've played Superhot VR and it's damn awesome. If you have the space for it, that is.. because you *need* to be able to walk around at least a little bit. If you can do that, it's a very unique gaming experience. I've also played Doom 3 in VR. This also works pretty good, but here you notice the lack of "weapon weight" a lot. You see this big weapon in front of you, but you just can't feel it. When I tried Half-Life², I had to stop after ~20 minutes, because it made me feel extremely sick. The whole character movement and speed just doesn't work in VR. The biggest problem with VR for me as of now is: 1. pixels - the resolution simply isn't there yet and 2. heat. I can't use the Oculus in summer, because the lenses are fogging up. There is no ventilation or anything, so it's pretty much unusable. Also they changed the warranty a while ago and added that damage due to sweat, etc. isn't covered anymore. Obviously they had a crapton of folks with this issue, which made me scared of using the headset too much (especially when it is fogging up). The price is too high to get your hardware destroyed because of this design flaw. /Edit: Other than that, it's worth it for Google VR alone already, imo. The graphic quality is.. well, not perfect, but it's still very impressive. Vienna, Tokyo, Vancouver, ... you can put yourself on the edge of a skyscraper, or become a peasant in the streets. Only thing that's missing are ambient graphics for cars and animals. /Edit2: At one point I was sitting down in the livingroom, sitting in the grand canyon while listening to music. Very chill.
  20. Yeah, at least when it comes to face-tech, Japan is far behind.
  21. So they switched the engine for Dishonored 2. It looks amazing now, but also I can't play the game in max graphic settings anymore.. wut. Had to tune it down to "high" for getting a steady framerate. That's like the first game I've played in years that does not run smooth when maxed out. Also it appears to be quite a tad harder than the first game. Guards seem to see me much quicker, and I find it harder to see objects in the environment, because of a lack of outlines. Kinda wish I had the outlines back. Like... When finishing a mission, I always see that I barely scrapped together the possible coins to find, huh. I just can't see them anymore. Same with the letters and books to read. There's so many of this stuff lying around everywhere and you can't interact with them, but then suddenly there *is* a letter you can interact with... but they all look the same. So basically the game is forcing me to look at anything everywhere, which can be a bit off putting at times.
  22. Bizarre. Embarrassing. They certainly aren't the originators of the battle royale genre, and even if they were, the hosts of knockoffs of every new genre should serve enough of a reminder that you can't really protect gameplay mechanics. Unless Fortnite has been just straight ripping and re-using assets from PUBG, and it's my impression that they haven't, this is pretty much just bullying a competitor. Based on the article: "a new free-of-charge mode" ... so I guess it's because this one will be free and they fear of losing out money?
  23. This change made me checkout some of the negative reviews for FNV. lel.
  24. Just finished the second Dishonored DLC. It was nice, though I kinda liked the first one a tad more. Tomorrow I'll start with Dishonored 2, I guess.
  25. In fact, it appears you are triggered. LMAO. :>
