CNN publishing something by Chomsky, that is a surprise. He does make a good point though.

I think Chu mentioned something about past deeds being held against someone, so I mentioned what about Ian Miles Cheong and his Nazi past. -

Yep. Being a victim is a teat that keeps on giving, especially when it's just abuse on Twitter and online. Cute that you think the message is people wanting equality though, I still of the opinion that's just a sword that cuts one way for a lot of them (guilt ridden white guys 'checking' their privelege aside). Good business for her and Quinn, never thought people could be so stupid as to directly provide welfare to someone to make videos, or a 'game' or a website of all things I feel cheated on Twitter, I just got Cheong to post "stop weaponizing me" when I flamed Chu. Just surreal to read that out loud -
Fair amount up, and well considering LA's mostly Star Wars catalogue you can forgive them a bit.

Sure wish I could find jewelry with a socket in it. Have tonnes of legendary gems but no way to use them, have one that gives 30% to primary skills
-
Nice, XWA. Shame that didn't get an expansion
-
If you fail to beat the time on a GR, then all you can do is upgrade the gem and you lose the keystone (have to make you grind for something ) So you can't do harder and harder rifts. I got 5/6 Marauders on my DH woo, though I prefer my other pieces of gear so am running around with 4/6. Now I am not sure what to do for season 2, I really love the DH class but perhaps I will do a Wizard this time.

Interesting that Quinn's site professes to have white hat hackers and infosec experts. So, what they're going to start counter-hacking people ? Remarkable amount of coverage for it though, even if I am left rather unimpressed with the title. I was expecting some thing more along the naming lines of Aegis or Safe or something. Not sure how one overrides a crash. A minor quibble though. -

Real winner, that lady. Also wait..GamerGate survivors? Not sure survivors applies to those thriving due to something -
I like city life, but I found London has way too many people. It is surreal to be in the financial area on a weekend - it is deserted

Still pleased over the game yesterday, Arsenal played well for once and I suppose Manchester City played poorly.

That was hilarous http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/01/toleranux-satirical-linux-fork-mocks-calls-for-open-source-diversity/ -
You could always call in to work and say you are observing Martin Luther King Jr. day. If anyone argues with it you can call them a racist. My company would shrug that off. I am sure some one in the NY office is bitching that this day off is a loss of revenue for the economy and is stupid. Will mean things will be slow though, so I can catch up on my reading.

Today I wished the weekend were three days long. Well or that I didn't have to work for that matter

Weird for EU to be sore at the US over Russia. I was under the impression they were the ones who pulled the US in, in the first place when Ukraine started to fall apart. But I may likely be wrong. -
GTA-style game in the 40k setting would be cool. At least the law enforcement response would be epic in some cases.

No one, but it's usually unsaid when I am being told I am a dumb sheep or whatever by One Who Has Seen The Light. I don't really mock people who suspect conspiracies, sometimes the presentation is good and at least attempts to answer some obvious questions of the purposes and/or causes (Hastings' death for example is one I don't label people as loons for having). -

Yeah, and naturally you are an unshackled free thinker. Ho-hum. I suppose it can be some elaborate operation to make people hate Muslims or just have them as the enemy-du-jour, but it's also pretty believable that it's just some terrorist act. Not like heinous crap doesn't happen for reasons other than what's on the face of it. As for the guys looking like GIGN or RAID minus POLICE logo - so what, exactly, they wear black and got 'tactical' vests ? -
More Diablo 3, amusing how messed up some of my characters are. Seasonal crusader has 200k damage and 10 million toughness, DH has 800k damage but no healing.

That's why GG won't win, ridiculously easy for Sarkeesian when utilizing outside media. She should be grateful for this, I tell you -

Okay, like what though ? If the cop wasn't actually killed, then kind of weird to add in one faked cop death to heighten outrages after 11 others are already dead. I suppose one could say it is all faked to inflame hatred of Muslims or perhaps frame ISIS (because they need more crimes on their bill), but the currently accepted interpretation is simple enough to be true. The constant tone of a man who has seen the light is pretty grating though, especially as proving that is next to impossible. Ah well. It is a curious phenomenon in that offending some groups is okay and others not. Ideally, they all should be okay to do (everyone should HTFU, to borrow an EVE-ism). -

It does seem that way when the application of respect is inconsistent. Add that to a violent act inflicted upon people that didn't, and the needle sinks in a bit deeper. So going back to the suggested faked video of the cop getting shot, what is the ultimate end then of doing that and how does the affect any other details of the attack ? Or is that all there is to it ?
