  1. https://www.politico.com/story/2018/03/13/trump-says-tillerson-out-as-secretary-of-state-458353 Tillerson seemed ok, I remember him being one of the least ****-riding cabinet members during that praise session last year
  2. Not much of an update, I guess.
  3. Probably was meant to appeal to people that see inmates getting books as 'luxury' and treating them better than they deserve.
  4. You would have fit in really well in Pol Pot's regime. For wanting an annoying **** dead ? Sure. It's kind of like seeing Piers Morgan or Jose Mourinho and wanting to take a machete to him.
  5. Well it seems to work a bit. Having your cops trooped up like BOPE isn't a solution in of itself.
  6. Well, people can be deceived by image (sadly Sprite's indoctrination never caught on),
  7. I think they have officers that are trained for firearms use, but aren't anything like SWAT. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authorised_firearms_officer
  8. Reminded of Lisa's tiger repelling rock, for some reason.
  9. Did we even qualify? Easy to boycott something you're not invited to. That was my lame attempt at a joke.
  10. Qatar is 2022, everyone is most displeased for reasons varying to human rights to...not being able to drink booze at the tournament.
  11. Italy seems like it should have a lot more dots, as well.
  12. Well, these kinds of events are PR by the host and there's always the two Olympics as a precedent. Is a bit funny, and does open England up to jokes about them saving their groupmates' time.
  13. Old age has made me weak, tempted to dumpo Deserts of Kharak down to the easiest difficulty and just get it over with. The SP campaign is interesting, at least and I do like the idle chatter you hear from units, such as some guy complaining that he knows his tank better than some REMF or Command advising a unit to check its bio filters for no reason at all, nothing to be worried about
  14. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5485007/Australia-Poland-Japan-join-England-World-Cup-boycott.html US, Italy, Chile and Holland also standing ready to boycott the World Cup.
  15. Every time I see Farage I feel disappointed he didn't die in that crash.
  16. Hopefully groups have better luck against it, then the performance stuff is a moot point
  17. Sounds like a bad idea, judging by how much my wife yelled at me after getting her killed in Shovel Knight yesterday. Only for EVE players. But meeting people through hobbies isn't anything new
  18. Looks like the album cover of a rap album.
  19. I guess the argument goes, cops is just a profession not a minority group. People tried to make the same argument when the Pride parade organizers banned he cops from marching in uniform - apparently your job is a key and immutable part of your identity. Speaking of cops, https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ex-asheville-cop-arraigned-on-charges-he-beat-man-over-jaywalking/ While the guy shouldn't have ran, interesting response from the cop.
  20. https://lawandcrime.com/legal-analysis/theres-a-strong-case-that-mayor-who-warned-undocumented-immigrants-of-ice-raid-broke-the-law/ For a good laugh read the comments
  21. That's a funny quote, doesn't actually break that number down by the category of offender. Reminds me of the cops in Toronto seizing "weapons" for the G20, only to later admit only one or two out of 20-something were actually illegal to own (they seized some LARPers gear too, tsk). Would be interesting to find out what the legal view of her action or someone alerting people to police is, I would suspect it wouldn't be breaking any law - I find her's to be fairly general - or if it does, seems like a dog pile charge.
  22. Well, in some cases their crazy is for other observable reasons. Or really suit that joke in Green Mars about being anarchists that want cops to protect them from their slaves.
  23. Well, depends on what the person thinks 'gun control' means, versus your concept of it. Some want more rigorous background checks, etc. which isn't really 'taking away' anything, after all. Also, all of this putting aside the little difference between a Browning HP and Call of Duty (although one can make the joke they're both overproduced pieces of crap, IIRC from my gun owning acquaintances' jokes)
