  1. Not a bible quote, but sure everyone knows it. "When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why they are poor, they call me a communist." —Dom Helder Camara
  2. Also the line about the camel and the eye of a needle.
  3. Might be tricky to find suitable space for that in some cities. Here in Toronto some community gardens have been lost because yuppies need condos, heh.
  4. Why must you kink shame.
  5. Stop talking to the crazy guy on the corner, man.
  6. Writing the passwords down works as well for that - if someone's reading the notebook in your house then you've bigger problems, right ?
  7. Yep, our app is just a POS. And appropriately, my Windows password is going to expire. Time to make it password67 instead of 66. Recall that these fixed life passwords may be counterproductive as it makes people choose poor passwords rather than just using a passphrase - $EAsucksRipWestwood2003neverforget! is easy to remember and decent quality.
  8. Wish that'd apply to us. Apparently someone has it set so the passwords expire after 3 months, but then the first failed log in locks the account. So the user gets no notice that the password is expired so they can't avoid the lock out. I guess this was done in order to give our L1 team something to do ?
  9. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/iced-earth-guitarist-jon-schaffer-225701958.html Shame he didn't recite Pickett's words in High Water Mark.
  10. As if Fox would wait.
  11. Phew, glad Lil Wayne got pardoned
  12. Nah the door to Nina's dad's place. Funny, never really interact with him that much in either of the preceding games. Think I am scraping the barrel of point and clicks on GOG...may have to get Jack Keane next.
  13. Oh, I agree. Also, has a great intro theme. Not sure which NES game it's from
  14. That would have been a nice touch. Pretty sure I forgot to lock the door in game 1 too.
  15. Worse. Boston.
  16. Secret Files 3 is a bit disappointing, so far the two puzzles I've been faced with have me sealed in one room. Good thing I played the first game recently, too, would be left in dark otherwise, hah.
  17. I wonder if the UK government evaluates education based on Sun readership.
  18. Only if he leads MAGA into the desert for 40 years.
  19. Hey, wait a minute.
  20. Probably simpler than trying to find that many officers - although, not sure they really need 26,000 - and from the past summer seems they'll mostly be there for things you don't need much LE experience for (insert use of force joke here). Although with the FBI, MPD and CPF they could come decently close. Never realized how large the NYPD is, but they could (in theory) meet that requirement and still have 10k left.
  21. Southerners will remember this as the second Lost Cause
  22. Coworkers want to play games on Saturday and Sunday. Bit too much to have to interact with these people 7 days a week now. Yet another reason I should have invented a wife and kids for a cover story. Next job I will do that.
  23. At last, conservatives in the US will have some persecution to cry about. FBI vetting NG troops for this isn't too surprising, may be routine as well all considered (well not by FBI, neccesarily, I imagine the Army has a branch for that)
  24. Not quite sure being an MBT will be an advantage in a tennis match. Turret can't traverse quick enough to serve effectively, I'd imagine.
