  2. How do you run out of Force in Kotor 2?
  3. You're thinking of Force Kill, which is very powerful but against a boss like Kreia it becomes hard to beat her ridiculous Fortitude. Force Crush does 1-10 per level (a bit better than Lightning), half that when saved against. But what I think the original poster is referring to is that even when it fails, it still seems to do the animation of grabbing the enemy off their feet and then dropping them to the ground. Which means that evne when saving against it, there is little Kreia can do to hurt you as long as you keep your distance. So you can just spam Force Crush until she goes.
  4. Actually there are even blaster-based builds that are at least as effective as what you propose, not to mention certain double-lightsaber based ones. This game isn't so difficult that there's only one good way to beat it or else you fail, so if you don't understand why people do it differently, that's really a shame. As to the modifier on Korriban - it only really hurts the Consular, so I really don't like it, for roughly the same reasons I don't like Ysalamiri, Vong and the rest of the Force-denying crap.
  5. I've said it before, but it's weak analysis that assumes too many lies. I loved the stuff the guy on wylfing.net pulled, analysing the Matrix movies while assuming basically that everyone tells the truth to each other - and to the audience. This is a particularly easy trap with someone as deceptive as Kreia, because to distrust her is perfectly justified. But the problem is if we don't draw a line and just assume everything she said is a lie, the story becomes meaningless and we can propose any idea we imagine just by seeing all evidence to the contrary as a lie. People don't act that way, out of a sheer desire to manipulate. Kreia was not just a set of illusions - she was also a real person behind the illusion, and that person wanted something, that should be reflected somewhat in her words and actions. There are hints to it. When for instance the Exile notices [Awareness] that she is afraid, that is because she is. When Atton notices she cares about the Exile and what the Exile thinks, that's because she does. When everything about Kreia speaks of her being a teacher, a mentor, that's because she is one, and things she teaches about are important to her - among that an understanding of the Sith, including the True Sith. At least that's how I see it.
  6. If you check the combat logs on Korriban, you'll notice your opponents get a +60 modifier to saves. It only happens there. I suppose this is meant to reflect the dark nature of Korriban, protecting those of the Dark Side, or some other crap like that. Of course 1. it's stupid on general principles 2. it doesn't help you even when you're DS and 3. it didn't seem to interfere with Revan in Kotor 1. So I don't like it either. But oh well, it's there and can be dealt with. Korriban is the last planet (before Onderon reviseted) for me so by then I can take a melee-oriented Atton and a blaster-oriented Mira with me and they rip through anything my Consular/Master Exile can't hack to pieces himself. Come to think of it, would there be a way to mod it out of the game? I can't think of one...
  7. The styles really don't influence all that much, you get far greater boosts to your defense from equipment and from Force Enlightenment. With a well built Consular + Battle Precognition + a lot of Wisdom and with Force Enlightenment turned on, there was pretty much nothing left in the game other than Kreia that could hit me, except with a natural 20. I'd typically be using a Force form and not missing the extra bit of defense at all, it's just a few points.
  8. Sounds like you got lucky. Remember that TSL distributes loot randomly (and a bit too randomly IMHO). It does so to a "map" or "level" as it's loaded, so if you have the game saved at a point after the "map" is established, you should find the same treasure every time. To change it, you have to reload the entire "map" by restarting/reloading from a point from before it was entered. Oh I'm aware of that. I do seem to remember getting that upgrade on multiple playthroughs. Starting from scratch, not from a mid-nar-shaddaa save. And each time it was in that particular area. Could be my memory playing tricks on me, of course.
  9. Right, Hassat, I missed that one. But anyway, to quote Moff Tarkin: "This bickering is pointless". The important part is: GO-TO dies. That's all that matters. It proves the basic goodness and justice of the universe.
  10. Well what the dickens? I just checked my override folder, there's nothing there that would account for this. Oh well, I guess this will remain one of the mysteries of the Universe... edit: I can't spell.
  11. What "suggestion"? I wasn't asking for a factory-less TSLRP, heh.
  12. OK, that was easy, had a save right before Visquis died. The upgrade was right at the start. Turning away from the droid at the entrance desk (B-5N8 or something like that), you enter the warehouse and instead of going right and forward, turn left. Go past the maintenance droid and there's a container at the end. It contained two ugprades for me, one of these was the wisdom upgrade.
  13. Hm... yeah I'm pretty sure, I just use a cut up version of the Rebalance mod and my own private little modifications for NPC stats. And the Kreia-choking-Scion scene restoration. And the "kill the Ithorian" mod. *blink* that's it. Oh and the improved AI mod of course. And I'm also pretty sure it popped up on my first ever playthrough, too. I'm gonna check my closest save and play through it to make sure where I found it.
  14. So? Calrissian's blowing up the second Death Star is irrevocably connected with Ewoks winning a battle against elite imperial soldiers. Doesn't mean they're not two different scenes, about which a lot of people have very different feelings, too. Not saying the HK Factory will suck, I'm just saying yes it is possible to be looking forward to the Goto-gets-what-was-coming-to-him scene more.
  15. Nonsense, the most wanted part of TSLRP is seeing GO-TO die. Er, get shot to pieces. You get the idea. I honestly cheered aloud when I first saw that in the video trailer.
  16. Ah, I misread. Sorry for implying a lack in reading comprehension skills. Apparently that's my problem.
  17. The Internet is your friend. As as google, wikipedia and wookiepedia.
  18. I think he meant your explanation was confusing Alas, it was a good explanation, so there's nothing to be done but re-read it carefully.
  19. Ah, youthful optimism.
  20. Yeah. The "cry me a river" angle is dumb enough as it is - when you even don't have a clue what you're talking about, it makes you look even worse.
  21. Hm... if Revan left the Hawk on Malachor, how did he get from Malachor to wherever he was going?
  22. Yeah, but is George still in charge.
  23. Fine. So, is Lucas still ultimately the guy in charge of Revan's creative future? (Was that sufficiently about Revan?)
  24. T3 is teh awesome. Heh, all the droids in this game are cool in some way (even though it takes getting past GO-TO's annoyingness to dig that out of him). Then I think back to 3PO... why did people watch the original star wars again?
