  1. It could have meant either "some Europeans" or "the Europeans," as he included no article. People generally assume the latter, though. Yeah, technically, it should be "One European literally cannot... etc. as that's all this piece shows. I could go find a similar article about some cranky Stalin-loving lefty and make a similarly silly thread... and I would if this wasn't just the latest lolf troll-fail. You know, he really doesn't have to do much trolling in this case. If I were a European I'd be more pissed at the moron who said this than at LoF.

Which is an entirely different issue. I think unisex bathrooms would work fine. However, if the law states that bathrooms should be separated by gender, then the bathroom which is available to a transsexual probably should be decided based on whatever reasoning responsible for having the bathrooms separated in the first place. If it's not treated in that manner then the law loses significance and should be entirely rewritten.

"We propose that every Texas driver license shall indicate whether the driver is a U.S. citizen. No such documentation shall be issued to anyone not legally in the country." The proposition would certainly change that, it seems.

In other words she is a sane person. Not so sure about that. Government support for transsexuals is not exactly a clear-cut issue. And I'm a fairly liberal person. At the heart of this issue you would have to examine why bathrooms are separated by sex in the first place. When you do that you'll find that such an edict has some fairly hard-to-resolve implications.

That'd probably never happen. I'm a very opinionated person, and I love arguing.

Because it will lead to discrimination. If you can legally obtain a drivers license, there is absolutely no need to have a sticker on it indicating whether or not you're a citizen, especially if it's likely that non-citizens will be discriminated against. I'm very glad I don't live in Texas. Doesn't seem like it would be too nice of a place for an atheist to live.

I think they call their genre "Anglo-Saxon Battle Metal," and to be honest it's a pretty apt description. This is ****ing awesome.

    5.1 sound

Pretty much what the thread title says. Is there any way to get the sound to play correctly with a 5.1 speaker setup, or am I stuck with it only using the front three speakers?

  13. Alienware was bought by Dell, I'd stay away from them.
  14. I found Marburg to be next to impossible with SMGs until I was a fairly high level. I did Rome first, and had to leave and then return.
  15. SMGs are plenty practical once you get max skill. Haven't tried shotgun yet.

"Young people" don't put it that way, moronic preteens do. The two are not necessarily synonymous. There's absolutely nothing wrong with listening to sad music, and you don't have to have long black hair draped over one eye to do it. Listen to this, for example.

What a picture you paint. It's more bittersweet than it is sad, though. The point of the album is something along the lines of "life isn't perfect and sucks sometimes, but live it anyway."
  19. 700w should be fine. As long as everything fits on the motherboard, the motherboard is fine. A cheap motherboard could have lower RAM voltages which will prevent you from setting the timings correctly, but I seriously doubt that will be an issue. Even if it is, the performance difference is next to nothing. Once again, though, these are the types of things that should be ironed out already if you're buying a prebuilt machine. The entire point of a prebuilt machine is so that you can have it arrive at your house, plug it in, and have it work with minimal setup. You are ultimately paying extra money so that you don't have to worry about those things. If you ever have the time, however, it's worth learning to build your own. A few google searches can get you all the information you need to learn how to build a computer, and it'll save you a good bit of money.
  20. 1. If your prebuilt is overheating and needs additional cooling, then you should ask for a refund. The point of a prebuilt is so that you don't have to worry about minor details such as that. In general, though, as long as you have a case with a sufficient number of fans, you shouldn't need fancy cooling unless you're overclocking (not recommended for casual computer users). 2. I built the machine I'm currently using 2.5 years ago for ~$800, and it's still running most games on high/near-max settings without major issue. Seeing as your rig is a good bit more expensive, it should last you a few years at least. Keep in mind that, at least for now, hardware progresses faster than the hardware requirements for games. Current generation hardware is overkill for current games.

Last fall was very stressful for me, and I found myself listening to sad music. It helps. I swear, I must have had a month where I listened to almost nothing but A Pleasant Shade of Gray by Fates Warning. The weather was rainy and dark that time of year, too.
  22. I fully recommend ASUS products, they're all rock-solid and ASUS tech support is actually somewhat helpful. I don't buy motherboards from any other manufacturer anymore, simply because of how great ASUS motherboards are. They're cheap, too.
  23. Haha. Let's see if you still think that when the bluefin tuna is extinct in a decade or two.
  24. "The jacket...you messed up my jacket...got blood all over it!" "With that color scheme, how can you tell?" I lol'd IRL at that.
