Sometimes though they are just better models (although in many cases, they are not) than what the original game had to offer. I the characters in morrowind looked horrid without modelswaps. Was such a long time since I actually played that game though, I cant remember where I got my replacements from.

No of course your right. Trying to have a character in your mind when your playing a game like this is all about trying to compartmentalize the bits that dont work with your vision of the character. And in many cases (at least for my character) there is something that is close enough to what you want to achieve. The less bits that are completely at odds with your character the better (and having to pick up this gangbanger certainly is one of those).

Yea, forced party members needs to go. Its incredibly immersion breaking, my shepard would never allow a psychopath on her missions.

What are they, and how would they work for a game like RE5 without drastically altering what the developer is trying to achieve? Do what Dead Space did? It seemed to work just fine there. Granted the necromorphs are sometimes a bit faster than your average zombie, but thats something that could be overcome.

Her point is, if Zero was in AP, she would recieve a different reception. Or perhaps that the character is more suited to the NV setting. Personally, Zero seems different from the usual Bio female, which is (IMO) refreshing. No its horrible either way (and I usually love bio games).

I'm going to call this bull unless you have some links to back it up. If the developers say anything at all, it's that programming for the PS3 is different and more difficult than the other platforms. Porting between the 360 and PC is pretty doable, which is why we're seeing a lot of 360 games on the PC as well. Also, for most of the cross-platform games the PS3 version is inferior, the only exception that I know of is Red Alert 3 and that was released 6 months after the 360 one. Yea, the PS3 version is hurting in many of the games compared to the 360. In particular in the area of Anti Aliasing where 360 often do 4x and ps3 hardly manages 2x That said, I like my PS3 and there are plenty of good games on it. Of course that doesnt change the fact that I always pick the PC version of a game if I can.

The Metroid games are pretty good though. Its not that there arent good games on the wii. Its just that there are so few of them.

Wii is only a good console if you your self doesn't like to play actual games.

Even though I have never played it the stories you get from EVE seems to be a step up from everything else.

Wow... those are some pretty bad graphics, honestly. I don't mind color, but Diablo is supposed to be gritty. This just looks too clean, too shiny. Just wait until you see the unicorns farting rainbows.

Just forget it. With that computer you have no chance in hell of playing anything more recent than 5-6 years and certainly wont be able to play WoW.

There is an update comming that will allow you to make your own songs and even sell them online in Rock Band. Basically that opens the door for all kinds of bands that are to small to be selected by Harmonix to get their stuff out there. One thing that I do have to say is that the GH drums are much, much better than the RB drums.

DO you HAVE to download the updates to play? And is d/l ing the game off of Blizzard free??? And if I am forced to go with a singlee-player strat game, I am going with Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne expansion. If I do not get WoW, price means absolutely nothing. Yes. its a multiplayer game so of course you have to get the updates.

Rock band has better DLC support than GH.

WoW is a good game, I played it for 4 years (then I got tired of it). That said, if you are looking for a single player experience, go elsewhere. The stuff you can do solo is not what makes you stay with the game.

That is certainly an amazingly contrived and eccentric way to view things. Now this is probably how I would construct a 2 point scale: Bad - Good or Dont buy - Buy However I wouldnt make the scale: PERFECT, BEST GAME EVER - Everything else Because that would be stupid.

This is completely ridiculous, an outlet determines for themselfs what meaning different scores have. And when does a "perfect score" stop denoting a perfect game? 10 000 / 10 000 : PERFECT GAME! 100 / 100 : Perfect game! 10 / 10 : perfect game? 5 / 5 : perfect game?? really? 2 / 2 : perf... **** off!

No, Metacritic is "fail" for one reason and only one reason. They do not use the same review outlets for all games, this means that the metric is inherently wrong due to different publications covering different games. This is litterally the only wrong thing about metacritic, but it is also an enormous problem.
