  1. That's got to be the only movie that he's ever been a bad-guy... It's an interesting turn whereas he's normally the lovable good guy. And rest in peace Isaac
  2. I'm not sure how many of you in here are sports gamers, but I've always been a hockey fan myself...I've been reading some of the stuff around NHL 2k9 and I'm really excited. It seems like they are trying to bounce back from last year's tough control scheme and just making the game all about fun. http://previews.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/2079/NHL-09/p1/
  3. I only buy about 3-4 a year, so I usually play through them all the way, but on the top of my pile right now is GTA. It's a huge game and it's going to take a while to beat, I know, but I really wish I was farther along in the campaign/story mode at this point.
  4. Now Cirque du Soleil is being made into a movie. I saw the show live in New York last year and loved it. I'd set out to try to get tickets again, but the show isn't touring anymore. Now this is going to give me a chance to see it again. Definitely worth seeing, I'll be picking up tix soon Info here
  5. Mike McCarthy says that Favre is not his starting QB, it's Aaron Rodgers. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcnorth/0-3-45...-Green-Bay.html
  6. It's called Sons of Anarchy. It deals with a gang of bikers, which is a really cool theme for a show. It's also not been done before and now that it's being done by one of the producers from the Shield, that gives me some serious faith. Check out the trailer online: http://fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/soa/
  7. Well, to say the least, they took some liberties with history. Would you like to give some examples? I watched the documentary, the only thing that was clearly made up was the necklace storyline. I thought there actually was a bit of real work that was put in. Bill Paxton's investigation closely mirrored the real one by Robert Ballard.
  8. Don't worry too much about it. It gets worse when you think about it beforehand. Eventually you sike yourself out and when you get in there, you're just sweating for no reason. Make sure you get a lot of sleep and wake up a good while before the interview.
  9. This movie had its problems, but I think its message is pretty important to consider. I liked it too, probably 7.5 or 8/10.
  10. I always thought milk teeth were baby teeth as well. I'm not expert on the subject but I've heard them used interchangeably.
  11. I still can't get over the Manny trade. I guess he needed to be dealt after all the stuff that he's come out and said. Great hitter though, the sox will miss him, but Jason Bay ain't too shaby himself.
  12. I am looking forward t my first run through of a 0 g room and the battles in there. Should be really cool.
  13. It's really people who don't do their research before they buy something. Because as N'Gai Croal has said many times, no one sets out to make a bad game, but the end product may be bad. The problem is if that product is subpar, people who buy it feed the machine so to speak. Although who am I to talk, I bought Asassin's Creed...
  14. Oh awesome, I've been needing something like this. i'm hoping within 3 months to get around to upgrading my computer too. Perfect...
  15. Wow cool opportunity. Congrats and good luck!
  16. Was this is 2nd try? I thought he had been on there before and didn't make it..It's all about the year that you're trying to enter truthfully. Even qualified players get turned down when there's a phenomenal hall inductee class.
  17. Well, I don't think so but it's certainly possible and I wouldn't put it by many of the star players in the league. I think it speaks a lot to his character that after his first year they wanted to give him the C and he turned it down and said he didn't want to be anything more than an Assistant because he wasn't the true leader. That takes some cahones!
  18. Seems like there are going to be some good rpgs/mmos coming out. I never got into WoW but I liked Diablo 2, loved Kotor1-2 and Mass effect. All of those are now getting sequels or other iterations of the franchise.
  19. I like their choice of weapons a lot because honestly most of them aren't traditional weapons and having to use only what you can find really makes the game more intense. It's a little odd that as you're running around a research laboratory in Doom or something there are just Flack jackets and extra clips sitting around..
  20. I liked Gossage's speech a lot. I almost felt bad for the guy when he started getting choked up.
  21. I think I remember reading that too and it looked cool, but with combat going to figure into how people perceive the game overall, it really stinks if the combat does indeed stink. That's going to bring the game back down in terms of quality.
  22. I have to say, this game looks really cool. The premise is pretty interesting in the fact that your character isn't the typical space marine, you're just some Joe who is trying to survive. It seems like playable reactions are at a minimum right now, but I was listening to some of the 1up yours podcasts and those guys seemed pretty excited from what they had seen. A few even said that after E3 the game's now more on their radar than before...
  23. Well...now ESPN is reporting that the Packers are shopping Brett Favre around in the trade market. What a turn of events in the last 3 weeks.
  24. I disagree actually. I don't think he's capable enough in the language or been in the league long enough to be the captain of a team. Plus there are other leaders in the locker room that the team rallies around. That being said, I can certainly see where you're coming from because he's an amazing player.
  25. Good idea actually. I'm going to look into getting maybe a brewery tour going with some of the local friends. That would be really cool to do and I'm sure there are some quality micros around here.
