  1. Has anyone seen this? I heard it was pretty crap.
  2. I like where this is going (assuming it's a cRPG from Black Isle/early Bioware, maybe Troika.) Fantasy or Sci-fi is fine with me The last thing the world needs is FPS #5,731 being released. As long as it's not holding my hand like other "games". I'd never thought I might start giving a **** about Atari again. If this industry had a beating pulse left, let it be this.
  3. It must have been a 'cut' feature. I remember their review of Oblivion and how when it was posted on the Bethsoft forums just before/day of release, everyone had second thoughts about purchasing the game (compare E3 version to retail). Bethesda caused themselves a PR ****storm when they started blacklisting all sites that called them out on their bull****.
  4. I'm willing to wager his reason for running away is completely stupid.
  5. So... I can reanimate the dead to enslave people? ... AWSUM!1! Also: Hi Josh! I see that you're watching the thread, can we have a hint? Pleeeease.
  6. True, but wouldn't a good marketing plan be to hype it as early as possible?
  7. Since they signed a publishing contract, does that mean they have developed a working prototype of the game in question?
  8. "Peace" "Knowledge" "Serenity" "Harmony" "there is the Force"
  9. But a "spiritual successor" doesn't necessarily mean sequel, else they could just enter into a publishing deal with Atari. Still, anything of the old Black Isle/Bioware cRPG games is exactly what this genre needs. True but I could somehow see it happen. EA is the parent company of Bioware, they happen to be publicly owned. Having a third game in a high selling series perhaps 6-18 months after the second title's release would look good from a shareholder's perspective. Perhaps I'm over-thinking this a bit. Mister Sawyer, by any chance do you smoke 'the reefer'?
  10. 'Me' looks significant, like an acronym.
  11. If you plan on using XP don't bother with 4GB of RAM, XP can only detect up to around 3GB iirc.
  12. Actually, I instantly thought of: Me Trees... But that would unrealistic.... wouldn't it?
  13. What are the odds that this might be related?
  14. Since it's for a boss character, imagine being in a serious moment with said character, only to have this song play. Definitely either a way to lighten things up, or complete mood killer. It would be epic.
  15. It was on Obsidian's twitter feed.
  16. Are you going to be apart of this project?
  17. Will DA even sell that well? It's not going to be as dumbed down as TES IV: Special Olympics (I'll never forgive Bethesda for that travesty,) and it has OMG ISOMETRIC VIEW OLD RELIC!!!!1. But Phil Harrison was quoted about a year or two ago stating "we will be returning to these properties but not today." It's possible but we'll just have to wait and see. I personally interpret that as TOR being set in an "alternate universe" type setting, making it pretty much a spin off from the main series. If that's the case, they could continue with the main series and please the core fans without completely selling out to the WoW children. If not, I hope it fails and the amount of damage it does is considerably large. As long as the Engine, game and toolset isn't forcibly rushed (diaf Atari), I'll be happy with that as well. The RTS games were fun, but I could never get into the series any farther then that. But it would undoubtedly be profitable.
  18. *Chants a prayer* Baldur's Gate 3 Baldur's Gate 3 Baldur's Gate 3 :)R KoTOR 3 KoTOR 3 KoTOR 3
  19. Just added Obsidian to my Twitter profile, maybe this will be the first Social Networking site I can actually be somewhat committed to. Couldn't get into facebook despite all my friends telling me such quotes as "omg stop being anti social!!11". Also: Who's dog is that in the picture? Cute little thing it is.
  20. This will be interesting, seeing as how most of his work consist of Tony Hawk games.
  21. I honestly don't see this getting farther than being considered Vaporware, anyone remember the Infinium Phantom?
